Help, please?

Hi, so I'm going to sound VERY new, but that's because I am. How do I get my speech in the server to not be in-character? (The whole 'says "Bla bla bla." thing) I'm also rather confused as to how to start a roleplay with someone. No one will speak to me or acknowledge me; no one is even roleplaying whenever I go on. Please help?

To start a roleplay is like starting a new life but in minecraft, people will not come to you and become friends you will have to go to them. There a lot of people who doesnt know how to roleplay (OOC) and that's why we have rules to follow on how to roleplay - What do you do In real life, do it in minecraft.
(I said this from my own side dont think its anything from the server conduct)
