Describe your activity on the server:
I would say I am on this server pretty much around 5 hours a day, and a maximum 10 hours a day on weekends. It usually depends on my casual work job shifts. As a student finishing up studying, it has given me a lot of free time over the past few weeks and I have consistently been on this server during my free time. I really enjoy hanging out with friends and gaining more and more knowledge about the server itself! I am generally very active during the afternoons and night, as this is the time I am usually free!

School Employee Role you are applying for?:
Chef
In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
A chef is a person who is well trained in cooking. They prepare and serve food at school during break times and lunch. They notify this on the intercom everyday to ensure all students are aware of the food being made, persuading and advising them to come and eat! They hand out and give food to each student fairly, ensuring the line is in immaculate order, with no students pushing in line or causing disruptive behaviour. Chefs are also seen patrolling around the school. What they do is they ensure that every student is doing the right thing and are always on their best behaviour. If they do, however, find students misbehaving, they can be seen giving warnings or handing out detention slips to those who are breaking school rules and policies. Chefs are also found in the faculty lounge, with other faculty members during breaks or classes.
What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
I joined SchoolRP back in 2023, but I discovered it in late 2019; however, I never had access to Java itself to play. When I did join, I quickly learned the roleplay rules and made many friends who taught me everything I needed to know. I was very keen and willing to learn it all as soon as I joined the server, since I used to watch Minecraft roleplays on YouTube back during the pandemic. This is what really made me want to join SchoolRP itself. I ended up having a pretty big break at the end of 2023 due to my Grade 12 exams, but I was back playing in 2024! I would say I have an in-depth knowledge of roleplaying and am always very excited to create and develop each of my characters, building in-depth storylines and lore as well.
Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
I really want to join the School Employee Faction as I believe that this faction is one of the most important and inspiring aspects within SchoolRP itself. I usually have only experienced being College and High school characters and would enjoy the opportunity to see a different side of SchoolRP as a worker! Without school employees within SchoolRp, the school and community wouldn’t feel as connected. I find that School Employees are great role models to young students and individuals and find that it would be so inspiring to contribute to this! As someone who has roleplayed as a service dog within the school facility, I understand the true and positive impact of making a student happy and would be thrilled to pass this onto many students as a School Employee!

During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:
Seul would stare at the student, with a slight head tilt, body rather tense but shoulders pressed back. She would take a slow, deep breath before speaking in a calm and responsive manner. “Excuse me, could you please stop cursing at me? You should know that cursing and bad language isn’t allowed here! Please refrain from using such words, this is your first warning! Seul would still proceed to respond in a professional manner at all times, as she noticed the students facial expressions and body language. “Please be honest with me dear if anythin’ seems to be bothering you, or somethin’ I may have done. I am here to listen to your queries and to help you!
You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:
Min-rae Seul would immediately approach the situation as soon as she saw it. Before her final approach, she would speak up rather loud, projecting her voice in order for them to hear her clearly, as she would have her head up high locking eyes. “Please STOP this! Break it up this instant! Do I have to make myself clear on the further consequences? With that being said, Seul would proceed to confidently step between the two. She would whisper, “Let’s maybe move to a quieter place and discuss this further if there were any underlying issues, alright?” She would have a very calm and approaching tone in voice that would be visible to the students. She would then pull out a detention slip from her pocket as she wrote it up before handing it to them.
Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:
Min-rae would react rather surprisedly, as she firmly yet calmly approaches the employee as the slow clickity clacks of her heels would be heard. She would stop as she faced them in close proximity, looking at her surroundings to ensure it was safe and that if any students were nearby. She would proceed to speak. “Hey- what you’re doing right now is very dangerous and will lead to others resulting in getting hurt! Your role could get removed if you proceed to keep acting like this.” Min-Rae wouldn’t radio any of this, as this is a very serious matter and would discuss this with the higher ups privately if the school employee did deny what she was saying. “Us employees were chosen appropriately for this role and you are not demonstrating the proper values. Oh… Since you believe I am wrong and you think that this is okay, I am afraid I am going to have to report this to SLT as this is strictly inappropriate behaviour and is highly unacceptable!"
When in the employee break room, how does your character act?
Min-Rae would open the faculty lounge door with a big sigh before entering. Min-Rae would usually go in whenever she felt the need to freshen up or socialise. As she entered, she would go straight to the coffee machine, as she fiddled with a strand of hair whilst waiting patiently. As she finished making a warm cup of coffee, she would head over to the couch and sit down, sipping slowly at her drink. If she noticed any faculty in the room she either didn’t know or knew, she would strike up a friendly and small conversation. She would then take the time to look at the menu and prepare herself to take notes on the meals she would be preparing for. She would also get ready to intercom the meals of the day in a cheery and persuasive tone.

/me Min-rae stood patiently at the cafeteria, smiling at herself after she made a really awesome intercom speech. She would tap her heels slowly yet stopped as she noticed a few students approaching the cafeteria. She would make them feel very welcomed, as she would smile cheerfully. “Hi dear! Would you like vegan or regular today?” Once the student chose their desired option, she would quickly and safely hand them their food. “Enjoy!”
/me Seul would begin to hum a tune to a song as she carefully prepares a warm bowl of miso soup. She would start stirring the broth delicately as the strong aroma would fill the air. She would then finely cut freshly chopped onions, sprinkling tofu and seaweed before serving it neatly.
/me Seul would offer a hand, as she saw her other chef co-worker in need of some assistance. She would adjust her shirt and roll up her sleeves before assisting her co-worker with the recipe, carefully reading out the instructions and guiding them along.

Seul would smile with a gentle nod, adjusting her posture with her shoulders pressed back, before sitting down gracefully onto a chair. She leaned forwards to the interviewer for a quick handshake before sitting back down with her legs crossed. She sat upright confidently before she began to speak. “Hello there! A pleasure to meetcha! My name’s Min-rae Seul!”

Seul would tilt her head a little as she pondered for a second or so, as she reassured herself with her response “And I would like to go by Miss Seul please!”

Seul would fiddle with an acrylic as she tilted her head upright before taking a quick short breath. “Oh I’m glad you asked! Not many people usually ask me that. . .My preferred name is Mimi, short and sweet heh!

She blinked as she looked out into the distance for a second, recalling her own age.. “Oh. . . yes right.. I am 25! Born in 2000, yes!”

She nodded as quickly as she could, very passionate with her answer.. Obviously “I am a female! Well I would hope that it’s obvious...”

She tilted her head, pondering for a second as she looked down, repeating the question to herself. She looked back up at the interviewer with a small grin. “Oh, well I initially was going to study a Bachelor in Business but I found that it wasn’t taking me the right path I wanted.. You see… So I decided to switch to Culinary arts as I have always loved cooking and wanted to turn my true passion into my career! She said warmly, as she slightly smiled. “I then earned a Bachelor in Culinary arts!

Seul thought for a moment, shifting her seat as she faintly smiled “I majored in Nutrition and Food Science!” She would gesture slightly with her hands as she spoke, emphasising, “I really wanted to gain.. you know an in-depth understanding on the different ways to create meals that are balanced, healthy and flavourful! It truly felt like a perfect way to combine my love of science with my love of food!
Minors:
Min-rae would move her finger delicately across the page of her notes as she would scan for the correct section in her book. “AH! Here it is… yes! I minored in Hospitality Management and Baking & Pastry Arts! I thought the two would really pair well, you know, and help me in the kitchen!" She would briefly glance up, gaining steady eye contact back with the interviewer.

She would fiddle with her fingernails, almost looking distracted. She would look back up at the interviewer as her eyes widened and blinked slightly “Oh! Right.. I’m from South Korea! Yes, I’m Korean!”

Min-rae would quickly rub the back of her head nervously. “I know Korean and Japanese. Yep.. that’s all!”
Backstory
Min-rae Seul thought for a moment or so, as she began to take down a little note or two as she didn’t want to forget a few points to make. “I was brought up in Seoul, South Korea with my family. My family would always strive for excellence in education and creative minds!” Seul would tuck a strand of hair behind her ear before continuing. “Ever since I was a little girl I would remember being so fascinated by food in general, forming my love and appreciation for it!" Seul would smile cheerfully as she remembered the memories coming into her head. “I remember helping out in the kitchen and preparing homemade meals. I would experiment with different flavors and food critique in my free time!" She closed her eyes for a second or so. “Oh I do miss the delicious beef hot pot my nana used to make me-” She opened her eyes as she chuckled. Seul would adjust her seat as she gazed back up at the interviewer. She double took at her notes, as she looked back down at them. She scrolled quickly to the point she jotted down and took a short and sharp breath. “My uh- father Hyeon Seul, who’s actually a teacher here. He really pushed me to do my best and follow my dreams honestly-" She took another deep breath as she felt a little emotional. “Honestly he’s the main reason as to who I am today and recognised my love and passion for cooking! She let out a big sigh as she looked down at her notes before gazing back up, fixing her posture and stance. “So as a few years passed, I studied Business in College! But I eventually realised it really wasn’t for me nor did it interest me! With the support of my family, I switched to studying a Bachelor of Culinary Arts." Min-Rae would bite the tip of her pen before placing it down and continued “I majored in Nutrition and Food Science as I wanted to really understand the way meals were both healthy and super delicious! I then minored in Hospitality Management and Baking & Pastry Arts which allowed me to grasp onto a creative viewpoint." Min-rae would adjust her seat and fix the collar of her shirt. “My studies were challenging, but I enjoyed every moment of it! I find that food really allows individuals to connect not only culturally, but emotionally and the ways it can bring people together! Before I continue further, I also worked as an employee at a restaurant in Korea back when I was studying a few years ago before I moved to Karakura! I find that this experience really shaped me!" She nodded at her statement as she agreed with herself. She would regain proper eye contact with the interviewer. “I’ve always kept an eye out for the chef position here at Karakura High. It would truly feel like a perfect place to share my love of food to students and to grow as a chef."
Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective):
Min-Rae would ponder as she looked out in the distance as she thought back to her past within Karakura. She would gaze back up at the interviewer as the question would fill her brain with thoughts. “Well… I truly love cooking and baking! It’s what makes me Min-Rae Seul! And don't get me started on the lovely students that attend here! I attended Karakura High in college not so long ago and believe me, I remember meeting such lovely people.” Seul would smile happily “I would love to make each student's days by filling them up with a delicious meal, it truly warms my heart!”
Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
Seul would take a deep breath before she began speaking. “I have a very personal connection to this role and what it represents.” She saved this last note she had down for last. She would bite her lip nervously and stop her fingers from trembling slightly. “I believe I should be accepted over other applicants as. . . m-my experience with an eating disorder- And having to have struggled with one." She sighed as she mumbled something. “I truly understand a student's relationship with food. This experience has allowed me to develop empathy towards an individual. I would be able to recognise when a student may be struggling with either not eating or feeling uncomfortable. I do truly believe this is important, especially within a school environment as small actions can truly impact someone and make someone's day feel a lot better!" She would smile slightly “With that being said, I would truly want to make a positive experience with food for students. I want to create a safe space for students to feel safe, supported and comfortable around food.I believe my personal journey allows me to do that!”
