Describe your activity on the server:

I’ve spent quite a bit of time on the SchoolRP Minecraft server, and it’s been a really fun and immersive experience. I started off as a regular student, attending classes, making friends, and getting used to the school environment. The community was really welcoming, and the roleplay aspect made it feel like a real high school experience inside Minecraft.

After a while, I got more involved in the server’s activities — joining clubs, participating in school events, and exploring the town. I also applied for a part-time role in one of the server jobs (for example, working at a café or helping out in the library), which added another layer of fun to the gameplay.

What made it really enjoyable was how creative and interactive it all was. Every player contributes to the story, and there’s always something new happening — from random social events to serious in-character roleplay scenes. I’ve learned a lot about teamwork, communication, and storytelling just by participating.

Overall, I’d say it was a lot of fun. The mix of structure (like school classes and jobs) with creativity and freedom made the experience unique and memorable.

Are you aware that inactivity can result in removal from the council?:
Yes, I fully understand that inactivity can lead to removal from the Student Council. I take that responsibility seriously and am committed to staying active, involved, and contributing regularly to council duties. If I were ever to face a situation where I might be unavailable, I would make sure to communicate with the appropriate staff or council leads in advance.

TRIVIA QUESTIONS

What is the student council and what do they do?:

The Student Council on the SchoolRP server is an in-character group of students who represent the student body and help maintain order, promote school spirit, and assist with events within the roleplay school environment.

What Is the Student Council?

The Student Council is a student-run organization that works closely with the school’s faculty (teachers, principals, etc.) in the roleplay setting. It is designed to simulate real-life student government and gives players the opportunity to take on leadership roles in the school community.

What Do They Do on SchoolRP?

Here are the main responsibilities of the Student Council:

1. Maintain Discipline and Order

  • Enforce school rules during classes and breaks.
  • Report inappropriate or disruptive behavior to school staff.
  • Help resolve conflicts between students in-character.

2. Support Events

  • Plan, organize, or assist with school events like dances, talent shows, festivals, etc.
  • Help promote events by handing out flyers or making announcements.
  • Act as hosts or guides during large server events.

3. Represent the Student Body

  • Act as the voice of the students to bring up suggestions or concerns to staff.
  • Help bridge the gap between students and school faculty (IC).

4. Lead by Example

  • Serve as role models in the school community.
  • Follow and encourage proper roleplay behavior and SchoolRP rules.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):

I was motivated to apply for the Student Council because I’ve always enjoyed leadership roles and being involved in school-related activities. I’m interested in helping the student body, supporting school events, and creating a positive atmosphere for everyone.

I also have a genuine interest in roleplay, and I see the council as a great way to take on more responsibility and participate in more serious and meaningful RP situations. Some of my friends are involved in the council or other school roles, and seeing how much fun and impact they’ve had inspired me to step up and do the same.

Overall, I want to be someone others can rely on — whether that’s helping enforce rules, planning events, or just making the school a better place for both new and experienced players.

Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):

Yes, I’m fully aware that being part of the Student Council involves using both creativity and teamwork, especially when it comes to planning and supporting school events. I’m excited about the opportunity to collaborate with others, share ideas, and help bring fun and engaging activities to the server.

I enjoy working in group settings and believe that teamwork is essential for making events successful and ensuring the council runs smoothly. I’m also someone who loves brainstorming new ideas and thinking outside the box, whether that’s for events, solving problems, or improving the overall school experience. I’m looking forward to using both my creativity and collaborative mindset to contribute positively to the council.

IC SECTION
SCENARIOS

While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?

If a student begins causing a disturbance during a school assembly, my first priority would be to de-escalate the situation calmly and discreetly to avoid drawing more attention or disrupting the assembly further.

I would approach the student in a composed and respectful manner, quietly asking them to step outside with me for a moment to talk. I’d avoid raising my voice or reacting emotionally, as that could escalate the situation or distract others. If they agree to step outside, I would address their behavior privately and remind them of the setting, expectations, and the importance of showing respect during school-wide gatherings.

If the student refuses to cooperate or continues to be disruptive, I would signal a nearby council member or staff member to assist. I would then notify a teacher or SLT member to intervene with authority, while I stay close by to help if needed.

After the situation is under control, I’d quietly return to the assembly and ensure that everything continues smoothly. Later on, I would report the incident to the appropriate staff members and file any required documentation (IC), especially if the behavior was severe.

Throughout the entire situation, my focus would be on maintaining a respectful, calm presence, helping resolve the issue without embarrassing the student or disrupting the assembly for others.

A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?

If a student refuses to take off their mask after being warned and then runs away, my first step would be to avoid chasing them, as that could escalate the situation or put others at risk. Instead, I would take note of their name, description, and the direction they ran in to report the situation properly.

Once I have the necessary details, I would contact an SLT member (such as a Vice Principal, Dean, or Principal) or any available faculty and inform them of what happened. I would explain that the student violated school rules, refused a direct instruction, and fled when detention was mentioned.

If the student is spotted again later, I would avoid being confrontational. Instead, I’d calmly remind them of their previous behavior and inform them that the incident has already been reported to staff, and they will be expected to face the appropriate consequences. My goal would not be to punish them myself, but to handle the situation responsibly, respectfully, and by the book.

As a council member, I understand that I’m not a staff member, so I don’t have the authority to enforce serious punishments, but I do have the duty to report rule-breaking and act as a liaison between students and staff. It’s important to remain calm, respectful, and professional, even in situations where students choose to break rules.

A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns?

If a teacher reports concerning behavior like disturbing artwork and verbal threats from a student, I would first listen carefully to their observations to fully understand the scope and seriousness of the situation. I would thank the teacher for bringing this to my attention and assure them that I take these concerns seriously.

Next, I would suggest documenting the incidents clearly—both the artwork and the verbal threats—so there is a record to reference. I would also ask if any other students or staff have witnessed similar behavior to get a fuller picture.

Since the safety and well-being of all students is a top priority, I would immediately notify a senior staff member or SLT (e.g., a Dean or Principal) about the situation, providing all the information gathered. I recognize that as a Student Council member, my role is to assist and support but not to make final disciplinary decisions.

If appropriate and safe, I might accompany the teacher or staff member when they approach the student to discuss their behavior calmly and privately, encouraging the student to express their feelings and listen to concerns. I would emphasize that the student has resources available to them—such as counseling or support groups—and that threats and harmful behavior are taken seriously to protect everyone.

Throughout, I would maintain confidentiality and professionalism, ensuring that the situation is handled delicately to prevent further escalation or stigma, while prioritizing the safety and comfort of all involved.

A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression?

I would recognize the importance of students having a voice and the right to express their opinions peacefully. Therefore, I would be open to allowing the protest, provided it follows certain guidelines to maintain a safe and respectful school environment.

First, I would ask the students to share the purpose of their protest and their planned activities. This helps me understand their concerns and the message they want to convey. Then, I would discuss with them the need to keep the protest peaceful and respectful, ensuring it does not interfere with classes, assemblies, or the daily operations of the school.

To minimize disruption, I would suggest a designated area on school grounds where the protest can take place without blocking hallways, entrances, or important areas. I would also set a time limit for the protest to avoid long-term disruption.

I would communicate clearly that while freedom of expression is valued, the safety and learning environment for all students must be preserved. I would encourage the students to work with the Student Council and school staff to coordinate the protest, ensuring it remains peaceful and respectful.

Lastly, I would offer to help promote the event in a positive way, such as announcing it beforehand to inform other students and staff, so everyone knows what to expect.

By balancing respect for students’ rights with responsibility toward the school community, I would aim to support their expression while maintaining order and respect for all.

A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?

If a teacher or receptionist informs me that I’m doing something that contradicts my training or instructions from higher-ups, I would first listen carefully to understand exactly what the issue is. I would remain calm and respectful, appreciating that they brought it to my attention.

I would then explain that I want to follow the correct procedures and ask for clarification on how I can better align my actions with what is expected. If necessary, I would offer to review the relevant guidelines or speak with my supervisors to ensure I’m on the right track.

My priority would be to correct any mistakes quickly and learn from the feedback to avoid future misunderstandings. I believe open communication and a willingness to adapt are important, especially in a role like Student Council where teamwork and respect for the school’s rules are key.

If I felt unsure or disagreed with the feedback, I would still handle the situation professionally by discussing it privately with my higher-ups rather than escalating conflict or arguing in front of others.
