I'm usually active on the server for most of the days throughout the week. I log on around 4 to 5pm EST and stay on for a few hours after at the most.

What is the student council and what do they do?:
The Student Council is a group of students, with good reputation, that help apply a good reputation among other students and the school. Student Council is most known for helping discipline students when they're acting out of line, but they also help any student with any of their troubles alongside assisting the school faculty with any task they need.

What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):
At first I only looked into it because some of my close friends seemed to enjoy it, but then the idea of it sounded interesting to me. I'm interested in the change in experience I would get from what would be helping out with events and communicating with others in a different way too. The role of a councilor seems fun to be in and I like the idea of having a new way of involvement around srp.

Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):
Yes, I'm aware and prepared.

Can you list the roles in the council along with other roles that might be important to the council?:

The person who has the most trust throughout the entire student body, they're trusted with the final say.

The second person in charge of assisting the president and taking over in case of any absence.

They are trusted to work under the president and vice-president, while also keeping up a good reputation for themselves and others.

SCENARIOS


While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?

Khamila would calmly approach the disruptive student and advise them to stop making a scene because it's clearly annoying their fellow students around them. She doesn't see a need to take further actions unless the student continues to be a disturbance, if so then she would approach the student once more and tell them that if she has to come back it would result in a detention, her one and only warning for the individual.

A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?

It would certainly be aggravating to Khamila, but she isn't going to chase them because she isn't fairly fast herself. Instead she'd take note of where the student ran off to and what stood out on the student, such as their type of clothing, and then she'd report it to a higher up. If they find the student later on in the day then she would tell them to take off the mask or they would lose it and only gain a detention.

A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns?

Khamila would walk up to the situation and wait for the teacher to take priority. She would first remind the student that if he continues to keep up these actions, it will only end in getting a detention. Then she would try and find out the original cause for the student to start revolting and advise them to find a way to work around it. She believed that the student might just be going through something but also that the way they are acting is no way to act in front of fellow peers and your teacher.

A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression?

Khamila is all for a protest if it's friendly and for the right reasons and she would allow them to, but the decision is not hers to decide. She would ask the students what the protest was for and if it doesn't appear to be anything that promotes an unhealthy school environment then she would pass on the word to SLT and express the students values. If SLT allows the students to protest then she would make sure that it does not disrupt the school by watching over it and making sure nothing over the top happens.

A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?

If Khamila was told that she was doing something wrong, she would feel a rush of guilt and she'd also be a little embarrassed. Before anything else, she would bow her head fully and apologize for the error in her actions. After that she would talk to the teacher/receptionist about what she did wrong and she'd do her absolute best to fix her action.

Petting Patch Event

The Petting Patch will be an interactive and informative experience that connects students and staff with nature through hands-on interaction with many different types of animals. This event will be located outside at the track field in the school to focus on the animal's comfort. It will have an organized space where students can engage with cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, snails, ducks, rats, bees, foxes, raccoons, frogs, fish, and even goats. Each animal will be in a clean and shaded miniature habitat designed for their comfort and protection. Only healthy and well-domesticated animals, that are free from any sort of stress, will be shown at the event.

The main goals of this event are to give a calm release from the daily stress of school, encourage empathy, and lower stress levels in the students and staff. By developing a respectful relationship with the animals, this event can improve communication with others, everyone's mental health, and give a better understanding of animals and their roles in the environment. The gentle presence of the animals is proven to encourage mindfulness and awareness and create a relaxing and friendly atmosphere for the rest of the day. This event is sure to boost the overall mood of the school by blending a peaceful natural setting with the company of others.

To ensure the safety of students and the well-being of the animals, councilors will be located around the area. Near the middle of the event, there will be short but interactive educational lessons that share some interesting facts about each one of the animal's behavior, diet, and natural habitats.

The area will be decorated with hay bales, wooden signs, wildflowers, and colorful animal themed decorations to create a comfortable farm like environment. There will be activities such as a photo booth with animal cosmetics, where students and staff can take pictures, and another booth will offer accessories or souvenirs for purchase.

She'd tab her pointer finger on her chair for a moment while she thought of an answer. "I would say I'm a highly motivated individual in anything I participate in, whether it be with a team or not." She let out a huff. "But outside of that, I'm the type of person to prioritize my family overall else. I'm the eldest child amongst my siblings so I do try my best to make sure everyone is well disciplined and respectable." Her head would perk up and she'd readjust her posture, awaiting the next question.

She stood there, a slim and dainty gal surrounded by the scent of roses. She'd look around the area with her stern but calming eyes. Her fluffy curled hair fell below shoulder length, it was extremely well taken care of. As she stretched her arms over her head, it would reveal her left sleeve tattoo of the Earth and Moon surrounded by all the stars.

She would rest her chin on her palm while raising a brow. hmph... "I believe I separated from other applicants because of my natural drive towards assisting other people who need guidance and a place of belonging." She'd look up with a spark in her eyes. she rested both of her hands on her lap. "I always do my best to accommodate others and make them feel heard in a natural and fair way. I have always been told that I am a loyal and honest person. My goals align with my morals and those are based off how I was taught to respect others as a child, for example a prime "The Golden Rule." Her hands would clap together and she would raise them at her chest level. "I am also very teachable, rarely do I complain when I know that what I am doing is my job."

Why do you want this position?:

Her eyes began to start glistening at the thought of it. "The natural answer would be to say that I want to make a difference, however it goes much further than that. I want to influence people in a positive way by giving them a proper perspective on the rules I could reinforce within the school. Knowing how each of my siblings acted while they were young, I believe when the mind is developing it is the most impactful. So it is important to create a positive impact on misguided individuals before it is too late"

What interests you the most about student council?:

She'd begin to twirl a strand of hair with her finger. "I mean, helping others is awesome and all but I'd be really excited about getting to meet new people everyday." She'd make a gesture around the room. "I'm eager to work with different faculty staff and other councils, I'd like to get to know them and also understand why they want to be in this line of work too."

What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment?:

"As I mentioned before, I have many younger siblings and have naturally always been the one to care for them and make sure they're always treating others with the utmost respect." A quick sigh let out. "I was raised to believe in the strong difference between right and wrong. That is why sometimes I can be a bit stern, but I am also compassionate, and social. I want to interact with all people and help them adjust into the right type of environment after being in whatever circumstances they've experienced, I would love to be the first option to assist someone in anyway I could."
