Describe your activity on the server:

I would say I am rather active during the evenings and I often have time to play during the mornings as well. I plan on staying this active even once school in my personal life starts.
I am usually on from 7pm until late, around 10pm, every night however usually I play for more than that

TRIVIA QUESTIONS

What is the student council and what do they do?:

The school council is a team of students and staff that ensure the safety and enjoyment of every person on site. They help to plan and host events, such as the Halloween dance and sports day, keeping in mind cost, time and overall involvement. They are also there to enforce rules to protect all students and be the voice of reason in some situations. The school council is also there to voice others concerns to those who may be intimated talking to higher-ups.

What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):

I want to become more involved in the server and be able to meet lots of new people through being a council member. I have also recently felt like fishing is the only thing I can do in SRP and have started to lose interest. Through joining this faction, it will feel like I finally have a role on the server and it will encourage me to play even when fishing feels so draining. I have also always loved to help people and share my love of the things I do, in this case, roleplay, and being a council member could help with this greatly and I will have a group of people who all feel the same that I can go to if I feel confused in a situation and who I can learn from. Another big part of this faction that piqued my interest was the idea of planning and hosting events. When I was younger, I had always helped my mum plan my parties and everyone always had so much fun (Not to brag <3), so having that same opportunity will be exciting to me. Becoming part of the council will really help me to enjoy the server again and can give me the chance to help new players the same way I felt when I first joined.

Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):

I am aware and it is one of the reasons I would like to join.

Can you list the roles in the council along with other roles that might be important to the council?:

Presidents
The presidents are the overall leaders of the council team. They are there to ensure structure and order, promoting a positive attitude to the role while managing meetings, coordinating events and representing the faction.

Vice Presidents
They work alongside the president to plan events as well as step up when needed to act in place of the president.

Council members
The councilors themselves are, in my opinion, the main reason that this faction runs smoothly and can continue with what they do. While the president and vice president are extremely important, the councilors. They plan events and enforce rules the the presidents have more adult things to take care of, keeping order and stability even when the adults can not be there.

Training committee
This team has the same responsibilities as the other councilors except they are also tasked to train the new-comers on how to react in certain situations

IC SECTION
SCENARIOS

While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?

I would first give them a warning, explaining that if they continue the behavior then they will have to be taken away from their peers. If they continue to act in a disrupting manner, I will escort them out the assembly hall, having another talk with them and finally giving a detention if the behavior continues or worsens or guiding them back into the hall once they calm down.

A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?

I would inform an adult and note down their name (if gotten) and appearance. I would also head in the direction that they ran in search of them. I would also report everything that had happened in detail in case this is not the first incident so appropriate action can be taken.

A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns?

I would talk to the teacher about their course of action and their reasoning to ensure I know everything I need to, asking if there is any way that I would be able to help and I would make sure not to do anything impulsively. I would suggest talking to my peer myself, as peer on peer conversation is less threatening than talking to faculty, and explain why their actions are against school policies and could harm others.

A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression?

As I student, I believe that it would not be my place to approve of something such as a protest. Due to this, I would inquire about it with the president, or vice-president if unavailable, and keep communication with the student who had asked me. If the protest proceeds. I will inform the protesters of some rules that they must follow, e.g. no weapons or things that could be considered as weapons (bats, pans) and no disrupting ongoing lessons.

A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?

I would reflect on what I have been doing wrong and how I can self-improve on myself, ensuring I don't do it again.

Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event):

Clubs Day
For the event, I would begin by speaking to each club leader to find out which clubs would like to take part and what they would like to include on their stalls. Once I have spoken to everyone, I would organize a meeting on a date and time when all of the club leaders are available. It is important that as many club leaders as possible attend this meeting because it will allow everyone to contribute their ideas and make sure that the event is properly organized.
If one or more of the club leaders becomes unexpectedly unavailable because of personal reasons and they are unable to send someone to attend on their behalf, I would make sure that there is still someone responsible for taking detailed notes during the meeting. These notes would then be emailed to the absent club leader, as well as the other relevant people, after the meeting. This will ensure that everyone is kept informed and has access to the same information. However, club leaders will still be encouraged to make their own notes during the meeting where possible, as this will help them remember important information and responsibilities.
During the meeting, we would agree on a suitable date for the club stalls event. We would also discuss the requirements for each stall, including tables, chairs, decorations, posters, activity materials, displays and any other equipment that may be needed. Each club leader would be able to explain what their club wants to provide, allowing us to identify any potential problems or additional resources that need to be arranged in advance.
Advertising for the event would begin at least two months before the planned date. Starting the advertising early will give the clubs enough time to prepare their stalls properly and make sure they have everything they need. It will also give students, staff and other members of the community enough notice so that they can plan to attend.
During the two months leading up to the event, club leaders will also be encouraged to contact the council team by email if they have any questions, concerns or changes to their plans. This will allow any issues to be dealt with before the event and help ensure that the day runs smoothly. Regular communication between the clubs, organizers and council team will be important throughout the planning process.
The event will be hosted in the gymnasium.

How would you describe your personality?:

I would say I'm a very straight-forward, outgoing person who can say what's on my mind. This would make my role easier as I am not afraid to admit when I am wrong and learn from my mistakes. I also believe myself to be empathetic, which would make my peers feel safe around me and I would be able to see both sides to a truth, making my decisions logical and appropriate. I have also asked one of the people around me and this is how they described my personality : 'You're sweet and kind. No matter what what anyone has done, you always give them the benefit of the doubt. You're selfless, will do anything to ensure everyone is okay.'

What separates you from other applicants seeking your position?:

I believe I am outgoing, logical and patient. These are very useful skills for this role that other students may have a struggle with handling. From a young age, I have had to handle certain situations with bullying and management which gives me an idea of how this role works and how to respond to situations

Why do you want this position?:

I want to ensure every student feels safe and cared for during school hours while also working closely my peers to plan engaging events and activities for all ages.

What interests you the most about student council?:

Planning and hosting events with the other councilors. I always love to make others happy and feel safe, and I can do this frequently through hosting events such as dances and themed days and being the voice of quieter, less sociable students, ensuring they feel they have a say.

What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment?:

I could be a safe person that my peers feel comfortable talking to if any issues arise as well as prevent incidents that could harm other students. I will also be observant while walking around the school grounds, making sure to prevent incidents and help to solve issues
