I want to talk about why I quit SchoolRP

So here's the thing, I've been on SchoolRP for a long time. I liked the server so much that I donated the server. The staffs are nice, I've also met some nice people... But things didn't go well. I got scammed so many times that I decided to quit the server! A server that I spent money on! CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW MANY TIMES AM I GETTING SCAMMED??? The server's nice (not kidding), the staffs helped me a lot... But the community on this server... Just... What's wrong with them all? I felt like I cannot trust a single person I see, I felt like I'm in an environment that I'll get eaten with no bones left if I'm not careful. I thought I’m playing a RP server instead of a hunger game? I know that getting scammed is part of the roleplay but I am 100% sure, that the decision to scam people was made by a real brain of a real person. I played SchoolRP for fun... I don't know about you guys but I would never have fun by getting scammed... So I quit, because I truly don't like the community of this server... I hope things can get better because SchoolRP is honestly a very good server. (Plus I donated ya know. And I did not mean to pay for a community like this...)

(In case you didn’t get what I meant, I was smart enough to not get scammed, but I wasn’t smart enough to prevent them from attempting)

simple solution, be smart enough to not get scammed???
 
Well. In my opinion. Wubblie is right, maybe you just haven’t met the right people. You need to give the server a chance, contact staff if you get scammed but that’s just me.

You're basically saying you're not smart enough to get scammed, just with much better vocabulary. As a person who spent most of his time on the server to himself, the simple solution to not being scammed is not trusting anyone so easily, that's why you get scammed in the first place, trusting strangers is the reason why you get scammed.

If you wanna leave the server just because of your imprudence, then go ahead man, it's your choice, but really, not trying to be mean or anything, don't trust strangers. SchoolRP is a RealismRP server, even though there isn't as many "realistic" situations, scamming and toxicity is sadly, quite common in the real world, as long as toxicity and scamming is not occurring in the Out of Character parts- Then it's not against the rules because it's just roleplay.

You need to start talking to people. I'm a nice person & you seem like a good person to talk to. You seem like an outgoing person but this is just your POV of people on SRP, not mine. Maybe if you got to know other people, then maybe you will meet people who are nice & not scammers. I meet friends of friends, like I meet people who are my friends, then I meet their friends. Who knows, you could meet someone who is really nice.
 
You can't blatantly assume that ALL of the server is filled with scammers or people you can't trust after the first time your guard has been let down through a group of people. Like above comments have said, maybe you haven't seen all of the types of people on the server, I expected you to have this knowledge because as you said, you've "played SchoolRP for a long time". Plus if you can't find the barrier between IC and OOC when it comes to IC actions and OOC actions, then you're quite right, SchoolRP isn't the place for you. Nonetheless, I don't think your reasoning is valid and it is rather narrow-minded to leave SchoolRP. But oh well, that's not my battle, see you if you return.
 
While this is a topic, I'm gonna throw other things I don't exactly like about the SRP community;

Honestly, I feel like school roleplay is extremely hard to get back into after leaving, I remember back in the earlier stages people used to be so friendly and welcoming. Now? I feel like everyone's so closed off, it's like high school all over again. Once people have a friendship groups, they don't even give you a second glance. No shade. It's just so hard to meet new people now days, I wish there was more togetherness and not any hostility and salt towards others.​

you go to the wrong people, you cant assume like that, it's like saying EVERYONE in th world is annoying, they're not.
 
Actually, It depends on the crowd you go into. If you make a friendship Group among GangRpers or Thieves or something, don't be surprised when you become a victim. Now if you don't let your guard down or not trust so easily, it won't happen. I haven't seen a lot of scamming on srp lately, you should give it another try.

I agree with this, but see, not all gangrpers are bad people you know. I've befriended many gangrpers and I consider them my best friends.
But, as I said earlier, this is just my opinion. A lot of the people on SRP are extremely nice and understanding, but eventually you'll find someone who, "fits your needs."
and if you need a friend you can always hmu on discord.
