Bears, a new addition to the server and animal whitelist. I believe that the rules for bears need to be made more public as I have heard about twenty different things from players. I have heard that they don't need to roll and that their actions are honored, that they don't have to action approach, that they have three block range on players, that they don't need perms to attack, and that entering bear cave is automatic KPS.

While I understand these aren't to be taken as 100% truth as I have had none of it verified by staff, it would be nice to see rules forbears easier to find.

Given that it is new to the SRP community, a few fundamental bear guidelines, or whatever you want to call it, would be extremely beneficial... many people frequently tell others that bears inflict instant KPS, making it more difficult for bears to rp because people assume they will randomly attack? And yeah, I suppose walking inside a bear's house is KPS.. a bear irl would attack you for entering their home, right? There may simply be something to dispel the 'rumors,' since it leaves people perplexed as to what is true and what is not.

people wouldn't realistically attempt to fight bears, therefore I think they should be immune (exempt) from gangrp

Bears are not an exception to our rules. All the animal rolling and combat permissions they have to follow just like any other players.
I do have seen multiple players creating false rules about bears and spreading around, every now and then a staff member has to remind them

Either way bears only have to refer to our rules like everyone else.

Agreed! I just have many bears telling me if they growl 3 times they have perms. As a dog player I know for a fact growling does not grant any perms to either side. Infact you don't need to fearrp a dog's growl is what I was told by staff.

Even if bears still follow the same rules as other animals, I do think that this needs to be clarified. With the amount of confusion coming from players it can be a huge problem.

Also, remember guys, even people with guns don't just walk up to bears. Bear hunting takes careful precision IRL and lots of hunters have lost their lives in the process, even with a gun. Imagine just walking up to them with a katana.

There needs to be clarity on what bears can do or not to avoid this, even if its a line saying "bears MUST follow the same rules as other animals"
Otherwise people will just start making up random BS rules and forcing people to go with them.

- The whitelist itself is a 'Wild' bear, however they must still follow the same rules as everyone else, including: Needing an IC reason to attack someone, rolling based on their age, permissions, etc.​

- We're already working on an Animal system to allow animal's to be automatically disguised upon joining, with this we'll also add reminders for them in-game with information on what they can/can't do as an animal. This will be placed under the 'Guides' section of the forums. ​
