What shop are you applying for?: Jaibatsume Cosmetics
Why do you want to become a Shopkeeper?:
I want to become a shopkeeper because of its opportunities. Since first joining in March of 2024, I have been constantly seeking out new roleplay situations. After looking through every faction, I think shopkeeping is the best fit for me. I enjoy learning about management, which is a good enjoyment to have in this field. I believe I will be the best choice for Jaibatsume Cosmetics in my opinion.
Another reason I would love to have ownership of Jaibatsume Cosmetics is because of the socialization required. Personally, I enjoy meeting and speaking with new people. I am good at handling situations like this, which is one of the many reasons why I chose shopkeeping. Overall, I would be a very good person for shopkeeping.
My third point of which I would make a good shopkeeper is my ability to think fairly. I can average out monthly earnings and make a fair salary for jobs I plan to offer in Jaibatsume Cosmetics. I plan to have the store open pretty often in order to give my employees many experiences. In summary, I believe I will manage Jaibatsume Cosmetics very fairly and equally.
Fourthly, being a shopkeeper will benefit my character, Jada Hasegawa. She is a very respectful, patient person who will be perfect for tackling the difficulties that come with shopkeeping. She is a licensed cosmetologist, so the salon is truly her element. She will be an excellent shop owner.
In all, I think I would make a great shop owner. I’ve done research on the faction and think I will genuinely enjoy running Jaibatsume Cosmetics. I believe I am the best candidate to own this shop.
What do you plan to do with your shop, and what makes it unique?: I plan to change the decorations to make it more scene to match Jada's personal style. I don't know of any other scene-styled stores, so this will make it stand out by being full of neon colours and patterns.
I plan to better the store by adding something no other shop has; a salon section. The salon section provides room for employees to interact with other players, which overall betters roleplay. My plan also adds to the base cosmetics idea because it has a section where customers can roleplay services testing cosmetics to purchase, upping the overall earnings. I believe my ideas of Jaibatsume cosmetics will truly add to SRP for the better.
What will you sell in your shop?: I will sell makeup products, accessories like bags and glasses, and services like hair dying, styling, cutting, nails, and makeup.
How many employees do you plan to have?: I plan to have around 6 employees.

What do you plan to do with Jaibatsume Cosmetics?: "I'd like to keep it a cosmetic store, since it fits with the theme I like so well, y'know? I really want the store to reflect my style, and since it's pretty unique in Karakura I think it'll stand out. I also want to add a salon section of the store where people can come and get their hair, nails, and/or makeup done."
Why are you applying?:
"I applied 'cause cosmetics have always gave me, like, a safe place. Whenever I get upset or something I just do my makeup, hair, or nails and I feel better. I also think I'd make a great leader, which is perfect for this role. In school I was actually the head of multiple clubs, and I worked customer service almost all of high school up until I was about 25, when I quit on my own terms to try something new. I shop a lot, which means I have the brain of a consumer, so I think I'm pretty up-to-date on what customers want."
What would you do if there was an altercation in your store?: "If people were fighting in my store I would handle it as calmly as possible. I would tell nearby customers to step back, and call the police to sort out the legal stuff. I would make sure no one got hurt as result of the altercation, and if someone did I'd make sure to get them appropriate help."
A customer comes in looking for something and it turns out to be out of stock, which makes them angry. How would you handle that?:
"I would handle it respectfully, checking in the back for any in stock. If there's none in stock in the back either I would tell them I would make sure to call them once we get more, if they would just leave their number for me to contact."
Is there anything else you'd like to add?:
"I would make sure to fairly pay my employees, and put their well-being before everything else. I know what it's like to work retail, and I know it can be exhausting sometimes. I would like to try to keep our staff pretty tight-knit if possible. I'd like us all to get along pretty well. Anyways, thanks for having me! I hope to hear back from you."
