General Appearance
⛌
Appearance: Brown skin, a mesomorph build, and stands at around 5'7"-5'8". His face isn't very expressive but he tends to look serious or focused when he's by himself. Though when he's tired people have pointed out that he looks like he wants to hurt someone. You will normally see him wearing a jacket, hoodie or neither. You may also see him with a pair of raynans.
Personality: He can be described as calm, reserved, and creative. He calls himself an artist as he tends to make art and music, but he enjoys doing lots of stuff and is even good with technology. Although he shares his art, he never shares his songs with anyone but those close to him. He's never had an interest in sports or after-school activities as he prefers doing his own thing, but he doesn't mind participating in them once in a while. Due to his reserved nature, he never says much to people as he doesn't trust many people besides those close to him. Once you get to know him, you'll see him open up more and you get to learn more about him. He doesn't like talking about his past.

Backstory
⛌
Sometime in the 2000s, on the 27th of September in Japan, a child named Jay Cross was born to a Japanese father and African-American mother. However, a few weeks after he was born, they both passed away. Since no other family members are known, he would become an orphan.
During the time Jay spent in the orphanage, he grew accustomed to life, learned to speak Japanese, went to school, and even had a few friends. He thought his life was good. That is until a group of kids began bullying him. At first, it would start as verbal bullying over minor things, like small mistakes or just stuff about him. If Jay were to stand up for himself in any way, the bullying would get physical. It got so bad that it led to him becoming a reserved kid who was less trusting of others. He also began to hate his hometown to the point where he decided that once his middle school years were over, Jay would leave the orphanage, the town he called home, and run away to Karakura.
By the time middle school started, Jay was still an orphan. The bullying eventually stopped as well. He still held resentment towards the people who tormented him for years and began distancing himself from others to avoid the same situations from occurring again, which led to a strong feeling of loneliness. To pass the time, he would start messing around with technology to learn more about computers and consoles and how he could fix or modify them. At some point during his middle school years, Jay made a friend with similar interests who also helped him out of his shell a bit. Eventually, they had their friend group and would frequently hang out. By the end of middle school, he would eventually act on his plan of leaving and say goodbye to his friends, tell them they would keep in touch, and leave the place he once called home.
After a while, Jay would arrive in Karakura on his own. After living in a town for most of his life, he had to get used to living in the city, which did not take long. But although he got used to the area, Jay still didn’t know anyone or how to interact with others, and in order to protect himself, Jay would go back to being cautious and reserved. Though he did make a few friends after some time since his arrival, he has not seen them around for a long time. Since he wouldn’t have anything to do outside of going to school, walking around, and going home to his apartment, he would find a new hobby that went along with his hobbies of technology and art. He learned how to make music. Jay would begin making music only for himself, creating songs that came to his mind based on specific moods or songs based on his emotions. He won’t ever share them with anyone unless they’re close to him or someone asks him about it.
After turning 18, and being in Karakura for almost two years, Jay was eventually adopted by the Onodera family. Though he does not know his family members that well or is close to any of them yet.
