Describe your activity on the server:
I have been extremely active since I joined the server around a year ago from today! I get on the server whenever I have free time between my classes and on weekends, often staying up late, just hanging out with friends and walking around on SRP to look for RP. I’ve also occupied myself with other factions that I’ve dedicated my time to, just to keep myself busy and expand my roleplay opportunities!
Even if not on SRP, I find myself still working on things that revolve around the server through artsy or role-play ‘extras’; things I’ve been doing for fun. Like the reports and ideas I’ve done previously and plan to make in the future! Renders of my characters that I’ll have myself or others post to Onrian, alongside character art as well!
Safe to say, I’ll be remaining an active member for a while!
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
Yes! I understand.

What shop/category are you applying for?:
“Restaraunt/Cafe”
Why do you want to become a Shopkeeper?:
For fun! I am always reaching out on this server for opportunities that I find interesting and believe I can thrive in with my passion. And, in all honesty, I have a lot of heart that I’m planning to give to my restaurant if I get accepted into the role. I’ve spent time planning a character as the owner, designing a logo, making a mascot, and much more to really immerse myself in this plan of running a place on SRP that I can be proud to own.
I will say, the idea of a shopkeeper is definitely a recent development in my mind. I’ve thought about it before, but I never really considered being in the position until I started convincing myself more and more about how fun it would be to live my dream of being a restaurant/cafe owner.
God, I really want that IRL.
But, going back to SRP, I just think getting a chance at something that I know I’d love and have fun with is all the more reason to apply. It’s like a passion project for my enjoyment and everyone else's!
What do you plan to do with your shop, and what makes it unique? The vibe?:
I have a lot of ideas with my shop, and it all kinda stems from a very ambitious reality that I think about often. Owning a restaurant/cafe is a dream, genuinely. The thought of finding a space and making it your own, for yourself and others to enjoy, is so enticing. And with that, I plan on creating a shop that brings my dream into a reality.
I will make my shop “Ji-Ai” into a more whimsical and relaxing place for everyone to gather. The vibe is really based around the character I made for the restaurant/cafe, Vergel Villanueva. A fanciful guy who believes that everyone deserves to treat themselves with love and care. A man who believes in the ideas of the spiritual, like crystals and chakras, palm readings, tarot cards, etc. Essentially, a spiritual hippie! And although Vergel could open a store to sell those ideas, he desires to reach into the soul. What better way to do that than through the stomach?
In line with 'self-love,' Ji-Ai is a shop meant to soothe the soul. Calm music, a lush atmosphere, and employees that care more than just taking orders and delivering food. The whole point is that the store is meant to feel more than just a place to buy dishes; it’s supposed to be a place where people can make memories, roleplay scenarios, and enjoy their time taking a seat and look forward to coming back next time.
It’s a place centered around you, for you. And I think that makes it shine in a unique way!
What is the backstory or lore tied to your shop?:
“Ji-Ai” | 自愛 | translates to - “affection, compassion, or deep love.”
Most importantly, self-love.
The opening of Ji-Ai wasn’t a sporadic idea; it’s been a long-time goal of its creator, Vergel Villanueva. In the place where Villanueva grew, the man learned from a young age how much love means to a person.
How? Well, through his parents, of course! Through his own eyes, Vergel saw just how even the coldest of hearts could be thawed by his mama’s warm, tangy si****ng soup. (Food is even how his mothers met!) But good food has been a staple in Vergel's life; he’s seen how it changes people. How it nurtures you, molds you, feeds you, and morphs the soul. In the best ways possible, Vergel knew from childhood that his purpose was to share his feelings and ideals of love with others.
In the same way that his mama could, he would try too. Love from the soul, through food! And eventually, after taking years to master the culinary arts, Vergel would branch out into the industry to create a restaurant/cafe where his dreams could come true. Through it all, Villanueva did not come alone! He’s joined by his partner-in-crime, Juno! A cute rabbit with a distinct star-shaped birthmark around his eye! The inspo for the store’s logo and mascot! (They’ll appear soon!)
Do you plan on having an employee uniform?:
I do! But it’s nothing like a full fledged outfit. It’s mostly accessories that people can add onto existing outfits they might already have! Bandanas that wrap around the head, and aprons/half-aprons that cover the front of the body!
Ji-Ai's Logo!

Ji-Ai's Mascot: Juno!

Pop-Up Events!
I say 'pop-up' events because I have ideas of making my shop opening more engaging with the community that wouldn’t happen EVERY opening but would appear every once in a while! Like a specialty touch to my store!
Spiritual Readings!
So an important part of my character and his store is the spiritual aspect of it all. Again, he meant to be a fun and whimsical character, and I plan to play that out to the max. I think a fun event to host in my restaurant would be spiritual readings!
This means things like fortune telling through a crystal ball, palm readings, or even things like tarot card DetailRP! Just some fun interactions that I believe fit the themes of the restaurant’s aesthetic.
The Stage!
I love performances. (Going off on a little tangent) I love people who perform and even performing myself, though I’ve only done that a little in my time on SRP. But, regardless, I definitely would love to feature artists and their works as they sing and role-play on stage whenever I may open!
I’ve even considered other types of stage work that I've seen before, such as poetry nights that I could host; stand-up comedy while people sit and eat, and all the other niche yet interesting things I could do with the access to a stage for people to get on.
Sponsored Outings!
So this is a more 'out-there’ idea; it kind of involves having to push my shop to a different location, thoroughly, it means, of course, and inviting people to interact and mingle through group activities that everyone can enjoy. Maybe like a sponsored star gazing event at the beach at night where Ji-Ai travels and sets up a stand on the beach and seeks hot foods in the cold night air. I could potentially tie in other shops or even academic sections into this idea as well! Like having my store sponsor a club or team who want to fundraise and supply them with food while they host activities that fit the starry… crystal-whimsical and fun vibe I’m going for! I think it’d be great for cross-faction interactions and public fun!
What would the exterior look like?:
The lot itself doesn’t have much scale to improvise with on the outside, and I kinda love it. I don’t know if it's a ‘me’ thing, but I always feel like a compact space can feel more ‘homey’ compared to a wide open area. The actual problem is just turning the squished area into something that works. I’d imagine SMOTHERING the place in plants. Plants on plants on plants on PLANTS. Streamers? Banners? A little earthy, traditional, and overgrown.

(Collages made to express vibe!)
What would the interior look like?:
I think that the more mystical the inside can appear, the better. I’m talking patterns, lights built into walls, foliage falling from lamps and ceilings, banners of designs, and crystals built into the walls like the CAVES. Genuinely, as whimsical and as fun as it can get, I would love literally nothing MORE than to achieve this overwhelmingly cluttered yet oddly relaxing look if ever possible in SRP.

(Collages made to express vibe!)
What will you sell in your shop?:
There’s A LOT in mind; pinpointing a vibe isn’t hard; it’s more of the 'what is there to sell that fits,’ that gets me. Personally, I’m aiming more towards hot foods! Temperature-wise at least. I know there are colder items I’ve seen before sold in restaurants, but I do really associate the vibe of Ji-Ai to be warm, comforting, and filling. So I think rice bowls with meat would be fitting; multiple Asian-style noodles would be entertaining to me. I have other genres I want to dive into for my restaurant to see as well.
Sections devoted to vegan options, spicy dishes, and seafood - I KNOW IT'S A LOT, I know!!! It’s just that I do want a variety, but in variety I also want to keep that theme of homey, comforting! SO, with all those ideas in mind, I envision that hot AND hearty meals across all categories are exactly what I want!
AND DRINKS! I think that drinks are where I plan to be a little more broad with what I feel like flows. There’s a lot that fits into that theme of comfy and cozy: teas, hot cocoa, light coffee, etc. I mainly would like to focus on selling anything like those rather than items similar to sodas, milkshakes, mocktails, etc.
Earlier I talked about heavier foods, but I really do love a sweet treat, and there's no way I wouldn’t have dessert to go! Tying in with that love for homemade food and warm feelings, I think I’d like to lean towards bakery sweets. Cake, muffins, macaroons, and the likes.
How many employees do you plan to have?:
[20] - I know my limits, and I don’t want to set an unbelievable number that I wouldn’t be able to keep true to both the people I advertise myself to in this app and the potential people I might hire if I’m accepted. So, I do believe that 20 is a number in which I can assign both reliable people AND keep track of them.
I believe a good roster would look like this!:
[1] ShopKeeper
[2] Managers
[3] Hostess
[14] Waiters

August 28th, 2026. 4:37 pm. A tan foreigner trails into the room, nodding his head as his eyes seem to shine at the sight of his interviewers. His right rose to send a wave towards the others in the room. Walking over, he took a seat, warm autumn eyes resting in your direction.
[???] "Heyyyy! Nice ta meet’cha. Glad to be here."
[!]
You’d nod in return, stacking papers and picking up your pen. Ink glided across as you began the interview.
[Interviewer] "Thank you for coming in. Why don't we star easy? Tell us about yourself."
[Vergel] "Wellluhm, my name is Vergel! Vergel Villanueva."
He’d run his hands through the blond strands in his hair.
[Vergel] "I go by he/him, but I don’t see a need for no 'mister' this and 'mister' that; just Vergel is fineee!"
[Interviewer] Right, well then Vergel, how old are you?
[Vergel] “I turned 33 just a few days ago, dude! Times sure are flying by, aren’t they…"
[Interviewer] I see what you mean. So about your store… Tell us about your love for the game. Just how passionate are you?
A little chuckle from the man in front of you.
[Vergel] “It isn’t a love for the… the game; it’s a love for giving.”
Villanueva sat up, a sincere smile that slipped out velvet words.
[Vergel] “I grew up loving my culture, the food that came with my own, and those that I was lucky to experience.” - “My store has that ideal feeling in mind. I want others to feel the love and comfort that I felt through my mama’s cooking.”
His eyes seemed to trail down to his fingers, fidgeting amongst themselves.
[Vergel] “Life is hard enough as it is, maaan… If I can help people through it in ways that I know I can-“
His eyes rose, linking back to yours.
[Vergel] “Then I will!”
[Interviewer] That’s some optimistic thinking. Do you have a plan for making your dreams a reality?
[Vergel] “Maaan, of course I do!”
The chipper tone seemed to return.
[Vergel] “The store is a part of the dream that will guide me into a reality where I will impact other people for the better.”
A smile rising from him.
[Vergel] “I might be new to the game, but I’m more than ready to play…” - “Duuude… I hope I said that right.”
[!]
And like that, Vergel continued his speech until the late hours arrived. The interview eventually coming to a close.
