What is your discord username?
My discord username is derisioncvt

Describe your activity on the server:
My activity on the server is something that I frequently take into account. Being a student full-time, my activity shifts and changes to fit my schedule, but I never struggle to log onto the server. On a scale from 1 to 10, I would describe my overall activity as a 9.5. I am on almost all hours after I get home, which is 4 pm EST. I find myself active whenever I get the chance.
I am busiest during football season because I am a cheerleader, but that might change with time. I plan on doing volleyball, and maybe soccer, next school year. I would only ever be inactive during IRL practice or games, which are not held that often, to my knowledge. If my activity ever becomes an issue or concern to me, I will put in an inactivity notice.

What is your timezone?:
My timezone is EST, Eastern Standard Time

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
Amino, 2015 | I joined community after community to make characters and have fun. It’s crazy to think I still have some of my OCs from Amino, considering how long ago that was. They remind me of where I started and how much fun I had back then… along with how many times I was caught staying up way too late.

Discord, 2020 | I joined roleplay servers to play as my favorite characters and hang out with all kinds of friends. Some of these servers are far more interesting than others, with different anime fandoms I partook in. I still do it now and then because, honestly, I still have roleplay partners on Discord.

Minecraft, 2023 | I joined SRP in July of 2023. I started strong, and even now, I feel great. I’ve made countless friends, applied for factions and community roles, etc. Nothing could’ve prepared me for the absolute joy I would find in such a server. I’m happy that I started when I did.

Minecraft Roleplay Series’ | How could I not mention this… lol. When I was younger, I loved nothing more than sitting down and watching Minecraft RP creators. I still do, which is why I am proud to say that I am a cast member of multiple! Recording episodes while being able to play my characters is one of my favorite things to do.

What is your motivation for applying?
My motivation for applying is to both improve my medical knowledge and hopefully grow as a person. I am interested in forensics and medical work as a possible job in the future, so why not test the waters with a little “test of strength?” I currently work under the role of medical staff in Stone-Haven Community Asylum on Roblox, which (not-so-shockingly enough) requires previous and basic medical understanding. I believe that I would thrive in this faction, so I want to try it out!

Which role are you applying for?
(Doctor or Psychiatrist)
I’m applying for the Doctor role.

What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?
(This is to gauge at your current understanding of the faction prior to acceptance)
I will explain, to the best of my ability, the knowledge I have of the Doctor Department. I will leave out individual Psychiatry and Emergency roles and instead summarize them.

Hospital Director
The hospital director’s job is to oversee the Hospital in its entirety, coordinating hospital activities and ensuring smooth workflow. The hospital director is the “BIG boss,” in a way.

Clinical Lead
The clinical lead is kin to one of the “right hands” of the hospital director. A clinical lead is a healthcare professional who supervises staff, resolves problems, pushes clinical standards, and more. They have a hefty job and do it well.

Clinical Supervisor
From what I have read, the clinical supervisor manages and oversees the clinical work of mental health practitioners. They also mentor staff and recruit new medical staff!

Attending Doctor
An attending doctor is a physician responsible for a patient's overall care.

Senior Doctor Resident
A senior doctor resident is a medical resident in their last and final year of residency training, which implies that they have the most knowledge within their residency.

Doctor Resident
Similar to a senior doctor resident, doctor residents are medical graduates still training to become fully licensed.

Doctor Trainee
A medical school graduate... a doctor in training! Self explanatory.

Emergency Department
The emergency department is often the first to help when EMS is called to a scene. They’re trained to quickly assess and treat patients to save lives. AKA. . first responders.

Psychiatry Department
The psychiatry department specializes in diagnosis and mental treatment and is trained enough on regular medical care to save patients time until Doctors or Paramedics arrive.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?
Yes, I understand that if training is held whilst I am online and active, I am expected to attend and will be punished if I do not.

I’m Gekkō Khang, and I live exactly how I want to.

April 13th, 1979: Sprouted, Growing With Time

Soft coos and gentle cries filled the room as the flower cradled in Akemi Khang’s arms blinked its small eyes open. The harsh lights were her first discomfort, and her mother found a way to shield and protect her sensitive pupils. She was primarily raised by her mother and father, and she was taught never to step down from the pillar she found herself upon. She insisted she do everything on her own despite her parents' eager desires to assist her, and she was typically found in her backyard, admiring the beauty of wildlife and nature alike.

This little girl, however, had a passion. She wanted to help the helpless—assist the weak. Her parents, of course, recognized this early on and encouraged her. She never lost her cool, even when she couldn’t figure something out. She wanted to be the best. The positive bounce back was something that she craved.

August 19th, 1993: Excellence and Perfection

Many people claim these years to be their best, golden, or silver. Gekkō Khang was nothing of the sort, and dedicated every living hour to her studies—hit the books, would you? She was nothing short of determined. This young woman had no time for parties. Her minutes were scarce, and she would go all out. Ace every test and outdo the rest of her class by a mile. She was ahead of her game, but someone was not impressed.

Daiki Khang, husband of Akemi. Perfections father, without recognition of excellence. He never said a word when it came to his daughter’s achievements. He gave a nod. He waved her off and returned to his hobbies, igniting anger within such a young Khang. This anger fueled her desire to achieve more than she could, and she worked tirelessly, all until she couldn’t handle it anymore. She promised herself that she would make it out.
She graduated a year ahead, valedictorian and medical prodigy.

August 19th, 1997: Education, Love, Despair

The moon sat at her computer with eager eyes. Her mother stood just behind her, and her father sat across the table. Legs bounced up, then down, beneath the table. There was little chance she would receive such a letter, but this was a dream Gekko had been working towards for a long time. Reloading her inbox again and again, the anticipation was killing her. She needed this. She needed acceptance.
After what seemed like forever, Khang got the email. She pressed the brightly tinted notification as soon as it appeared, and her lips pressed firmly together.
"Congratulations, Khang Gekkō!
Welcome to Hanoi Medical University."

It was only the smallest snippet of what such a message entailed, but enough to send the small group into spurts of cheers and gratitude. A proud mother, and . . only a nod from her father?

She walks with purposeful pride. A year into college was enough time to settle herself and grow familiar with her surroundings. She was on her way to a local shop, headphones on when she walked head first into something—shaking her head softly as she was now positioned on the ground, a faint voice called to her. It questioned, with a hand that assisted her in making her way back up. A cold-haired boy with obsidian eyes. His expression contorted as he met her gaze, and Gekkō’s remained all the same. She gave a small bow and let the man's hand go, making a foolish attempt at leaving. He turned on his heels and immediately grasped her forearm, denying her departure. He asked her so many questions. Her name, where she's coming from, if she'd like to be his friend, and finally, her number. They should stay in contact, shouldn't they?
Gekkō was not against the thought. She offered up her contact information and pulled herself away from the boy, eager to run to the store so that she could get back to her studies sooner rather than later.
This was not the last she would hear of this man. He sent texts her way whenever given the chance. He told her everything she needed to know, and before she knew it, they had been walking at each other's sides almost every day. Loki Wynn, a man who refused to let such a woman go.
Together until the very end, they stayed by each other’s side through everything—even death. Daiki Khang passed away, and for what felt like an eternity, Gekko couldn’t find the air to breathe.
Her sorrow remained full, and Wynn kept close. He was only visiting for the summer but maybe he was able to stay longer. . he had to, for Khang. He stayed at her side as long as need be, all until her graduation. She, at first, chose the same profession as her lover.

An Open Door

The two started a family, got married, and moved to Karakura.
Gekko Khang and Loki Khang began their work at KPD—Karakura Police Department. This was not what Gekko dreamt of, and in secret, she began her application for Karakura’s Hospital as a doctor. Altering her path for a man was foolish. She did not know why she chose something that she did not fight for, but with her application finished, she was only able to hope.

Maybe she would finally rest easy, as Dr. Khang.

SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?

(Ensure this is appropriate to the position you have chosen. Some examples can be found here)
“I specialize in Forensic Pathology. I chose this focus because I began my work in Karakura as a Detective, and forensics has always interested me, which is why I chose this focus.”

Forensic Pathology is the practice of using law and medicine to determine the cause of death in unexpected or violent cases. Forensic pathologists use many skills and techniques to perform their work, which includes autopsies and medical history but are not limited to such.

Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
“I have no experience in medical positions before writing this application. The most you will hear of is me tending to wounds before EMS arrives on scene, which I attempt to do with care.”

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?

“Beautiful.”
Mother Nature brings forth beauty and strength. Gekkō Khang embodies every quality, all while being graceful. Her pale skin glows like starlight, and her dark hair flows effortlessly, reminiscent of dusk. Her heterochromatic gaze—one brown, one green—is sharp and steady. A gold wedding band adorns her finger, a quiet testament to her love.
“I mean, beautiful and… beautiful and demanding.”
Not everyone enjoys being perceived. When it comes to Gekkō, her carefree nature always shines first. She assists those who need help and uplifts those who fall. Kindness is a feature of her personality, and she wears it with pride. Something that hides deeper is her demanding, no-nonsense attitude. A woman who speaks on her disagreements and stands up for what is right is held in high regard within her family and earns the respect of many.

How does your character act around the hospital?
When stationed in the hospital, Gekkō presents herself with respect and a calm nature. Pulled to all things beneficial… the likes. Her tone is comforting while her hand is precise, and she would never dream of anything less than ensuring her coworkers can trust and reside in her whenever needed. Whether you need a shoulder to cry on or someone to talk to, she’s your gal!

Does your character function better on their own or with others?
I would describe Khang as a versatile woman. She can change and adapt, much like a flower able to adapt to and change its environment. She works best when she can focus and does not find being alone or in a group a large factor in her success. She enjoys the conversations that spark whilst working with a team but appreciates the solitude that comes with quiet. If she had to choose, she would say that working alone would suffice, but having someone to rely on would likely benefit her.
