Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
Teachers are important to SRP because without them what would the server be? SRP stands for school roleplay and without teachers, the name is not what it lives up to. Teachers are there to interact and immerse students in fun and engaging environments, either that be from classes, reports, or just general questions they may have. Having actual teachers in a school-based roleplay server will also keep people coming back and getting the chance to have those experiences more than once, it makes roleplaying more alive and gives people something to do.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you may lose your role?: Yes
Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?: Yes

In-Character Section

What's your character's full name?: Yechan Paeng
What is your character's nationality?: Korean
What is your preferred subject to teach?: Performaing Arts (Drama)

Describe your character:
Yechan Paeng is a 7'0 Korean male born in Seoul, South Korea with his younger brother Hwan Paeng. He is not a very social person but becomes dedicated to completing any tasks he may receive from his piers or friends. He is kind and doesn't take lightly to any arguments or insults from anyone around him. He likes to help others and make sure everyone he is around comfortable, if not then he will go out of his way to make sure that they are. Yechan Paeng normally keeps to himself but is open to any chances he may have to have conversations with anyone, in a way, he will begin to open up and eventually become comfortable around that person.

Yechan's dedication doesn't stop at a certain point, when he is given a task, he will stop at nothing to get it done. This is why Yechan wants to become a teacher; he believes with his perseverance and kindness that he will be able to make an impact on students and create a healthy and creative learning environment.

Yechan loves creativity, his interest ranges from pencil and paper to paint brushes and canvases, and then to voice and stage. He is very interested in writing and has a journal filled with a lot of his own ideas and stories. These stories have their own impact on his life as he believes in happy endings and positivity which is what a lot of his writing consist of. This can also tie to his own personality; commonly described as the "Gentle Giant" type. Although he can get serious from time to time depending on the situations he is dragged into. He will also change his tone around students and piers, treating them both with respect and kindness but keeping a more matured attitude with his co-workers.

Yechan Paeng dresses in a very polite and proper way. He is usually seen in well ironed clothing and likes to stick to button ups and dress pants/shoes. He refuses to go out dressed improperly, although sometimes he is seen in something more comfortable depending on the day and mood. He has brooding black hair that for now reaches to only his shoulders but is always kept neat and styled, Brown eyes, lightly tanned skin, and has a tattoo going down his right arm.

What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
Yechan's outlook on students is nothing short of their creative minds. He thinks that everyone has some sort of artistic ability and just needs the chance and supplies to express themselves properly. He wants to help them understand their skills and what they're capable of, he will go out of his way to give these students a chance. He views them as someone to protect; He just wants them to be able to understand themselves more.

Now for co-workers, Yechan shows all kinds of respect in hopes to build a healthy worker relationship with anyone he may interact with. He looks up to other teachers as well as his bosses and hopes to become as skilled as they are in the future when he dives more into his career. He views them the same as he views himself which is having the passion to wanting to help teach future generations.

What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
Yechan hasn't had the best childhood growing up and by that, I mean he didn't have a lot of friends. So, school wasn't always enjoyable for him. Growing up he had to rely on himself and his brother to entertain his child like needs, to which he turned to arts and acting. Yechan's only escape was his drama teacher back in elementary school, he would always love going to her classes and just getting the chance to prove himself different. He would see how her lessons affected other students and how much she would inspire them all. He wanted to be like that, to be like her. He wanted to see people smile, see their creativity light up. One day, the school advertised for a short play, Yechan was too scared to even apply even though deep down he really wanted to try it out. It was a struggle, and his desires were too loudly spoken because as he was in his drama class preparing for a group lesson, the teacher pulled him aside and offered help, not because she felt bad but because she saw his dreams and wanted to help him. In the end, he ended up getting the part and did the play. Ever since then he swore to be like her, kind, inspirational, challenging, always wanting to help. This would also include his dream job, which was to become a Drama teacher himself just so he can see the same light and passion like he did when he was kid.

Roleplay Scenarios

A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
I would ask them what they don't understand about the topic I'm teaching and try to explain it in a slower pace so that they could properly understand the information I'm giving them. I would also break it down into questions, an example to this may be something like breaking down how stage positions work by asking the students questions such as, "If I were a lead actor in a play and I have to be downstage, stage left and stage right, where would I go?" What would also help, is if the lesson is more physical, I'll have them do more physical examples themselves to they could understand.

A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
I would first try to get them involved in the lesson as much as possible to maybe get their attention back onto what I'm trying to teach, if that doesn't work then I would resort to giving out warnings, then detention and then possibly the chance that they'll get kicked out of my class.

Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
Two Ideas that I may have is the following:

1) Students will get to act on an improv lesson, but as they do their improv skit, I will announce changes or words that they have to include, and they would have to work around their newly acquired situation. An example to this may be when two students per say are acting out a disagreement I would just yell out "so and so walks into the room accusing one of them of stealing their Oreo packets," and they would have to think about how they can act around or with that.

2) A lesson that will cover a famous actor or script writer, students will get the chance to be able to make their own scenario or script based on examples I've given them. They'll turn the scripts in to me, and I can decide which ones are appropriate for them to act as a class.
