Kagoshima Block
In 2003, Kagoshima Block A became the birthplace of Raden Bullock, the child of an English Immigrant, Cassandra Bullock, who had moved to Karakura because of her love of the beach. During Raden’s childhood, his mother encouraged him to interact with the sea and the creatures inside of it, which is exactly what Raden did, and loved. Surprisingly, Raden didn’t enjoy the sea itself, but more of the wildlife inside of it, with animals such as Dolphins bringing the most joy to Raden as he stared obliviously at them for hours on end, this made Cassandra’s job as a parent so much easier as she knew that the only thing Raden was interested in was the sea, which meant she didn’t have to worry about him wandering off into the night, she also didn’t have to worry about Raden falling into the water due to the fact that he would usually keep away from the water at all costs.
When Raden turned 12, his interest in the Ocean faded as he became introduced to the latest games, his favourite being Pokemon Black, a game ironically about capturing fictional animals and using them to fight, in contradiction to Raden’s faded love for animals. When Raden eventually turned 13, he became a student at Karakura High School. Raden’s early time at the high school was fairly rough as he was a short male standing at 5”3; this meant that Raden became an easy target for the Seniors as he wasn’t the type of person to fight back.
This changed when Raden turned 15, 3 years had passed, every one of them filled with bullying aimed towards him. It was a sunny day, and Raden felt somewhat confident as he strolled to school, smiling as he grasped onto the straps of his bag, as he entered the school through the front gates, he was swiftly greeted with a punch in the arm, knowing that it was going to be the same for the rest of the day if he didn’t do anything about it, something he should have said to himself years ago, he wildly punched back, not knowing who he was trying to punch; Either way, it didn’t matter, the small group had bullied him once before. Comedically, almost all the punches missed and were met with laughter by the two, with one ruffling his hair up, as they did this, Raden took the chance to get a look at their face, it was a tall, lanky black male with dreads, Raden then asked the male curiously “What have I ever done to you?” The male turned to his friends before looking back down at Raden, shrugging as he did, “I don’t know, everyone else does it, so why not-“ At this point, one of his friends barged into the conversation, completely dismissing Raden, “What do you mean you don’t know Jamal, just look at him, he’s a midget” Somewhat ironically, the male that had interrupted Jamal was the same height as Raden, upon noticing this, Jamal shoved his accomplice by the shoulder, sending him stumbling backwards, “Don’t make me feel bad for this kid man.” Jamal turned towards Raden, staring him down “Man, fuck you, I feel bad now…” Jamal paused momentarily, “You want to come chill with us for a bit?” Raden stared blankly at Jamal, flexing his nose before muttering, “Yeah.” Jamal turned, signalling for the small male to follow him, Raden quickly followed the two, hunching over moderately, smiling to himself as the three stopped at the Football field, sitting on the bleachers.
Raden quickly learned the small male’s name but forgot it the day after. In the following weeks, the three formed a strong bond, Raden learnt that Jamal and his friend were also English Immigrants, both coming from the city of London. For the next three years, nothing much changed, the three met at the bleachers everyday until Jamal and his sidekick graduated from Karakura College, in which the three would make changes, chilling with each other at the front of the school, the only thing between them being glass. Unfortunately, this stopped one day when Jamal did not show up, nor did his sidekick, this confused Raden, so to find out what had happened to them, he reached out to the Police. As Raden wandered into the unfamiliar station, he glanced over to a bald police officer with pale white skin, he described his lost friends and after a moment of waiting, the officer informed him of their deaths, it turns out the two would go out at night and scam people, they were bound to run into the wrong person one day, and that day came. Enraged by this, Raden decided to form a gang, after a moment of thought, he decided to name it Kagoshima Block, in honour of his fallen friends, and his mom that peacefully passed away 6 months before.
