The Creation of a new channel in the SRP Town Discord: #court-list
This channel should be view-only. That is: EVERYONE can see it, but only SRP Staff, Governors, and/or Judges should be able to actually use it.
The way the channel operates and is organized would be at the discretion of the government faction.
The channel would serve one simple purpose: to act as a 'Court List'.
To simply contain the dates of upcoming trials at Town Hall when a date has been 'finalized' and make them 'public'.
Of course, trials can be pushed back, but when there is a set date written down and agreed upon it could be listed here along with the case name (identifying the parties) and maybe some tag to let the public know what the trial is generally about (i.e. crime/assault, breach of contract, or whatever).
If there is a delay or the date is pushed back: the list can simply be updated.
Governors already organize when a trial is held and already have and deal with this information.
All that is being suggested here is that this very 'public' information about public trials happening at Town Hall in open view of the public gallery: is shared through pseudo-IC means.
How will this benefit the server and community?:
It would allow people to have some advanced notice of when trials are being held in Karakura's Court, even if the trials themselves may be pushed back. It is an additional responsibility that could be assigned to Governors and is quite low-energy: it doesn't seem like a dramatic or burdensome task. It also serves an IC purpose of being realistic and making Karakura's Courts more accessible. Currently, there is no way to learn about upcoming trials other than to (A) see the adverts when the trial is happening or (B) go into Town Hall and directly ask for all the information. Having this system seems like an easy, efficient way to get the information out there without being very burdensome on members of the faction at all
