Over the last few months Karakura has shown us an increase in its weather and natural disasters, which leads us to today's topic. .
—--------------

A sudden earthquake shocks hundreds of residents, causing multiple landslides - where did it come from? Why so sudden? Many questions we, the people of Karakura, cannot answer. With the sudden rupture, many seek cover within the walls of the hospital, and the school, looking for a way to avoid any tragedies. With fallen trees - debris scattered around the city, many were unable to avoid the fiery hell pit the earthquake brought upon us, including the mild fires spread throughout.

As civilians seek shelter inside the hospital, many on-duty hospital staff tended to those left behind on the school grounds. This quickly caused a problem for the staff, as not only were they dealing with the mess the rupture caused, by the victims it trapped. With millions, probably billions, caused in damage, the city quickly began filling the gaps the earthquake left behind. - Alongside the forest - the Zen Garden and Saiky Estate were rumbled to the ground as a result of the earthquake. Fires quickly spread around the areas due to sets of candles being knocked over.

I took aside a hospital worker roughly 48 hours after the incident – here is the conversation I’ve recorded, and tips and suggestions left behind for you to see.

[!] The sound of a click – the quiet aura of what can only be determined as a hospital filled the void. A quick tap on a microphone, before a man spoke . . [!]

TM:
“Goooood evenin’, Karakura. I, Teruyoshi Mizoroge, bring you the latest news. On today’s casting, I’m joined by a lovely guest. I’ve pulled aside a hospital worker to answer a few questions both you, the audience, and I have. Tell me, Miss . . What’s your name and occupation within the hospital walls?”

SK:
“Lovely to meet you, Teruyoshi! My name is Dr. Sunako Kirishiki, but please, the name’s Sunako. I work as a Psychiatrist here in the Karakura Hospital.”

TM:
“Perfect, Sunako. Can you tell me how long you’ve been here, and if you’ve experienced any weather similar to the incident we had occurred the other day?”
SK:
“Of course! I’ve been working here for over a month. Everything regarding the earthquake recently was my first ever time experiencing such a thing. It being my first time made me extremely anxious!”

TM:
“So I expected. The sudden quake caused millions of yen in damage, causing those nearby to flee for their lives and shelter within the hospital walls. I believe you said you were there at the time, no? What was the weather like? Was the hospital the busiest you’ve seen it?”

SK:
“My co-workers and I were downstairs seeking shelter - we could feel the shaking, followed by a rolling motion. It felt horrible; straight out of a movie scene, if you would. It was terrifying. - A bunch of us went to the school to help escort students and teachers back to the hospital to be treated right away. Many kids came up to me seeking out mental help, but to their luck, I was unavailable. Upon arriving back at the hospital, it continued. Kid after kid - the hospital was overrun with patients seeking medical help. That, by far, was the busiest I’ve personally ever seen.”

TM:
“Do you believe that any wildlife were injured? Critter homes run over by the debris – trees falling on each other. . Is that’ somethin’ that bugs you? What about the damage to the civilians? Is this something we'll never recover from?”

SK:
“As I went on patrol, I witnessed the Zen Garden in shambles. The confession tree knocked over - the trees in the area around fallen with. This deeply saddens me. I love our town, and seeing the wreckage left behind after such a tragedy hurts me. Many civilians felt fear - their parents, siblings, partners, and friends, were not answering. An event like this strikes fear in the hearts of everyone, causing them to cling onto each other and everything around them.I knew I was terrified, but my first thought was directly set on my kids.”

TM:
“For preparation of the future, do you believe that the hospital is a safe haven amongst others for the civilians of Karakura to seek shelter from in case something like this were to occur again? Is there anything we can do to prevent less injuries, or worse, casualties within the city?”

CK:
“Like any place, a large quantity of people isn’t the best case. At the heat of the moment, we were the safest place in the entire city - reporters like you were seeking help as well. We tend to everyone, after all. - A word of advice, however - refrain from being near heavy furniture or buildings. Try to get yourself on the ground floor as soon as possible.”

[!] Other than the quiet ambience of the hospital in background, the two remained silent upon turns - exchanging questions and answers. [!]

TM:
“Bravo, Sunako. As much as I’ve enjoyed sitting here and indulging on such a topic, I have to see myself out, as it’s nearing the end of the recording. We, the people, would like to thank you for coming on to today’s casting. Is there anything you wanted to ask me?”

CK:
“I have nothing more to say or ask. It was lovely chatting with you, Teruyoshi!”

[!] Teruyoshi offered a laugh in response, before pulling the microphone back up to his mouth. . [!]

TM:
“Well, that’s all she wrote. Thank you all for listening in on today’s interview hosted by yours truly. Until next time, folks. .”
[!] The recording came to an end. [!]

That brings us to an end on our latest news. Thank you all to those who've taken the time out of their day to read and listen to this, and thank you to Miss Kirishiki for being along for ride! See you next time, Karakura.
