Merry Christmas Eve, Karakura - and happy holidays if you don’t celebrate this particular holiday!
Yesterday, on the 23rd - we introduced a jazzy new event to the city in the tree of Eden. . Thankfully, it was successful and no more tragedies have occurred at Eden! This time, a beautiful Christmas tree lighting event was held by the citizens of Karakura - which got everyone in that jolly spirit!
Two hot chocolate booths were set up, selling relatively cheap hot drinks with the prettiest and yummiest add-ons! The weather was cold, and it was snowing for a great amount of the event, which was the perfect circumstances for some spontaneous hot-cocoa booths! It appealed greatly to the citizens, and the lines were constantly filled with choc-craving event-goers!
In addition to this, groups of carollers were let up on stage to perform some festive favourites! A group of highschool cheerleaders decided to step up and show some Bobcat spirit upon the stage - with a classic from the movie “Mean Girls”. They sang jingle bell rock, without the audio malfunctions like in the movie. . Even the costumes matched pretty well! After jingle bell rock, a good section of Paul McCartney’s wonderful Christmastime followed (which was definitely a favourite for some of the older citizens in the area). They wrapped up their carolling with some “The sound of music” - covered by celebrity Kelly Clarkson, my favourite things! Some of their moves on stage for the song were questionable.. But the crowd went wild.
The second group of carollers went for more of an edgy theme - performing a rock version of Last Christmas.. A classic by George Michael. . It’s safe to say they honoured him with a sick electric guitar playing in the background. . and instead of carolling traditionally, it was more-so screamo!
And of course.. The tree! The tree of Eden was all festive for the occasion, adorned with various Christmas lights, ornaments and decorations.
