December 8th, 2023
On a Friday night of December 8th, 2023. The Karakuran government had hosted a Q&A Panel for citizens to attend and ask questions about the Karakura Town and Its current status as a multicultural Island just off the coast of Mainland Japan. The Q&A Panel went about as good as one can be, the trend of the questions asked to the Panel was mostly about the progression of the town of Karakura or about Its crime rate problem. Reporter Leo Volante and Tao Mazukai were present at the event, taking notes and uncovering what questions the citizens of Karakura have for Its government and what their concerns are mostly about.
Reporter statements:
Tao Mazukai:
‘It was surprisingly dramatic- I think we learned a lot more today, whether for good or bad, whether it's about the government or the people under it.’
Leo Volante:
‘A lot of the questions are commonly asked questions, and thus the people on the panel tend to just skip some people’s questions, but at the very last, It was quite an event.’

The public’s reception towards the event was absolutely great too, the entire city hall’s downstairs courtroom was filled with citizens eager to ask the government their questions, and even I.. Leo Volante, gave a shot at questioning the panel a question on behalf of a friend. Everything was going great but in the midst of it, there was a bit of a situation arising outside of the City Hall, sadly I was not outside during that time but apparently from witnesses who were there, an EMS Worker was being harassed by a couple of students. But never mind that incident, the Q&A Panel went as well as people would think, and we got plenty of insight on how the Government works… by the time this report is published there might’ve been something that has been reported that is ironically related to the insight on how the Government works and what they’re working on or up to in the recent weeks.
Plenty of unique questions are asked by the citizens to the panel, and here are some of the most Interesting questions asked during the event:
- [Malina Eden]: “Good Evening, my name is Malina Eden. So.. The government in Karakura has been notorious for being picky and choosy with the information they share with the public, which has caused hell to break loose on more than one occasion. For Example, the riots that ensued following the Akihito and Police force sweeping murder under the rug controversy. Another that comes to mind is a former mayor being incited on domestic abuse charges. My questions is.. How has the Karakura Government changed from then to now? What are you guys doing to actively be more for the people?” [Q]
- [Yui Tsu]: “That was… Two Questions. I’d like to first clear up that the government does not ‘Pick and Choose’ what information we tell you. There is a line dividing classified and unclassified information that the town hall withholds for the safety of the citizens. That said, the town hall has recently increased its roster of government workers, and we’re actively working on pushing out more trials on a weekly basis due to having more available workers. Thank you.” [A]
- [Blaire Togomi]: “H-Hello, um.. My question is… what exactly does the Mayor do?” [Q]
- [Ezri Akai]: “Well, mainly I look over the entirety of the government, When people apply I’m the one who hires them, and I do overlook the entire city and ensure the overall make sure that everything is running smoothly from governmental perspective.” [A]
Here are some of the question that intrigues or I find interesting, and It encapsulates what the citizens think and question about the Karakuran Government. why are they sometimes seemingly very picky and choosy, and what exactly do they do? The Answers given by the panel is also enough for most, but not enough for a few, but that’s really the best one can get out of the Government. Maybe the next time they host another Q&A Panel, we might get more answers and explanations.
Until then, trust the process, trust the government… they might be shady sometimes but at least they’re keeping the town away from total anarchy. This is Reporter Leo Volante, Signing out.
