Karakura Church Update
The Karakura Church, a Western staple of Karakura, sits nestled between the Shopping District and the Ochiba forest, just off of Komichi road. The church stands out on our Japanese island, due to the Westernized build style often found in Europe or the Americas. The church would have features commonly shared with other churches that follow Christianity. The Karakura Church would offer this religious practice, despite its minority in Japan, and would be quite a popular spot for the mixing pot that is our city. The church was founded during the Meiji period, during the restoration when a ban on Christianity was lifted, allowing religious freedom throughout the country. Two centuries later, the church has undergone multiple restorations to keep up with the population and changing times of our city.

Recently, Karakura church underwent some major demolitions and renovations, the first being a major demolition of the old church in preparation for a new modern church to take its place where it once stood. Along with this would come a new update to its surroundings, not only to the Ochiba forest but the graveyard as well.

Once the opening of the new church had come upon us, a simple interior was placed inside the church, and for what it seemed the interior would just be temporary until the furniture would arrive at a later date. Upon a later discovery, it would be discovered that the interior that was being used was to be permanent for the interior. This information would be brought to Karakura News, in which an idea had been discussed among two of the higher-ups. After a decently lengthy discussion, a conversation between the former Mayor Annabell Sturm, Kazuo Deluca, and myself would be held at town hall. The discussion could contain the idea of Kazuo and I to close off the church for the time being, helping demo the interior and update it to the modern needs and wants of the Archdiocese of Karakura.
After getting our needed approval and permits from the town hall, we got straight to work. We locked off the church from the public, started breaking down walls, and opened up areas that were previously unused by the church. During the conversations with Sturm, we had gathered a list of necessities that would be needed by the church.
This would be included in the following:- Office for the current lead or highest position in the church.
- Bathroom, because everyone needs one.
- Classroom for Sunday school
- Storage room
- Overflow seating during services
- Confessionary
- Meeting room
After some time, the interior of the church would be redone, the walls would be painted and the new furniture would be delivered and placed accordingly along with some more.. [redacted] areas. Once the construction was completed, the news station would park their news vans outside on the side and create a simple broadcast to announce to the town.

As the news broadcast reached across the town, citizens would begin to flock to the church to explore the new interiors, along with reporters scattered around to greet and help the visitors with questions or comments. The interior work being a seemingly successful project to help the once shattered representation between the Church and Karakura News would now have a somewhat understanding of each other.

Since the demolition of the interior, there have been some rumors of a statue causing havoc to many of the church goers. Now do we have a reasonable explanation for this to happen, as there could be unnoticeable toxic fumes located in the abandoned train station just underneath the church and graveyard.
This could be causing hallucinations and paranoia to those who breathe in these fumes. Will the full truth ever be discovered, or will it just forever hide in the shadows?
