Tomochin Taikan
Happy Tuesday, Karakura! It’s Tomochin Taikan, here to report yesterday’s news - and bringing you another dose of positivity.
Just yesterday, one of the governors in Karakura, Bao Koji, hosted an opening ceremony for the city’s new library! There previously had been a public library, but over time it didn’t gain as much traction or use as it could have gotten. . . Therefore a hefty process of turning a tower floor into a public library had been kickstarted! Then, on the 20th December, 2021 - the grand opening occurred.
Koji had begun his speech upon a stage, accompanied by Fei and Ayaka Kurabu - two people very important to the opening and possibility of this library even existing! The governor presented a very inspirational speech to the crowd, preaching against violence and towards knowledge - inspiring many to use the library for the greater good and to better the city as a whole. He then gave the mic to Fei Kurabu, the owner of the tower which beheld the library on it’s lower floor. She introduced her granddaughter, Ayaka Kurabu and explained the library’s third remodeling.
Finally, Ayaka gave some sweet last words with a speech regarding her focus on the library and hopes of how it will flourish. Over-all, all three of them spat some positivity at us that day. . How beautiful!
The ceremony was finalised by Bao Koji, protected by the officers of Karakura, cutting open the ribbon and officially welcoming everyone into Karakura’s own public library!
