Shrine Event, blessing the Onsen Water!
After the recent construction of the hotsprings, the water was drained completely in order to help construction with the cavern. Now most people, including myself, might've found themselves curious about what happened throughout the day in case they’ve missed it. I also spoke with somebody who was at the event, including most of the shrine staff who were involved!

Akari, Akari Schwarz.
Right Miss Schwarz, what did you think about the blessing of the water and the Kagura dance?
Well. I think it was beautiful to watch! It’s a nice opportunity for the people of Karakura to learn more on Shintoism, whether that’s dances or different acts they do throughout.
Thank you for your time.

Tachitsu, Mirai.
Can you give us an in depth explanation of what happened? Or at least what you all did?
Well let's see, first things first we had the gift shop and omikuji stands open, mainly just greeting guests. Then after a bit, Haruka, Charlotte, and I made our way to the Kagura stage. I would say our performance went quite well! I was a bit nervous but it worked out in the end. Then we gathered everyone to the onsens, where we performed an ancient ritual, used to bless the onsens. We did it perfectly, so now the waters will be just like they were in the past! You should notice the effects the next time you take a dip! In celebration, we allowed all of our guests to party with us! Some of the staff here dressed in fish costumes, handing out mini fish kites as we got shot with water guns. It was good fun, and I am really happy how things turned out.
How do you think the event turned out?
It was a lot of stress in preparation, but as the event went on, everything went super smoothly. So to answer your question, everything was amazing.

“How did the event go in your eyes?”
I feel it went wonderful! It's nice to see so many people give the monastery love. It was a little stressful, but we had each other to help us through it!
“How do you think YOU did?”
We worked hard up to the event, too, to make sure everything was prepared. Very proud of our wonderful Mitsue for everything she has done to help us prepare and set up this event,
“Do you have anything to say to the public?”
Hmm.. Perhaps that we are always open and welcoming. We would love to see people visit our monastery more, especially since we can provide warm places of tranquility during such harsh climates! We even have hot cocoa, and snacks! Hehe, we have a lot happening soon.

“How did the event go in your eyes?”
It was very fun! I enjoyed the ritual, doing the kagura with my favourite maidens, and being a fish that was hunted by everybody for ages. . . I mostly enjoyed spending time with Haruka!
“Do you have anything to say to the public?”
For me, it was an event like that really captured my interest in the shrine. I'd like for people to know that we want to welcome them with open arms! I hope we've gotten to inspire many, in the same way that I was.

“How did the event go in your eyes?”
I would say they did very well, the ritual and kagura was performed perfectly and I am very proud of everyone.
“Do you have anything to say to the public?”
The shrine always welcome visitors and if you don't know what to do then come up and have a chat or a cup of tea! We also offer various services and rituals.

“How did the event go in your eyes?”
I think the event went splendid. It's always nice to see the entire town gather for occasions like this! It's one of the rare moments where I forget about the town's bad reputation. . . Yes, I had so much fun. It was well done.
“Do you have anything to say to the public?”
I'd like everyone to know that this isn't the best we have. I want everyone to start getting their Kimono designs ready because we're definitely going all out for the new years festival like we do every year. I want the entire shrine to look like a colorful field of flowers and I need everyone to help me!

“How did the event go in your eyes?”
Amazingly! We practiced so hard and it definitely paid off. Our maidens and Priests did so well with the event and the ritual- and people loved the Kagura from the Maidens. So I'd say an overwhelming success!.
“Do you have anything to say to the public?”
That the Onsen is now blessed and fully open!
