Good Evening, Karakura. A dark cloud looms over the Saiky Estate this night as local elder, Junpei Saiky, passed away from a heart attack. Known as the oldest man in Karakura passing at the age of 101, which for sure is a record on its own, leaves many citizens in the town heartbroken and upset as he oddly enough was loved and enjoyed by many in the city.
Junpei Saiky was born in Karakura, Japan February 16th, 1921 to Sakata and Himawari Saiky and is famously known as Karakura’s oldest citizen and even ranking as one of Karakura’s very own Police Captain back in the day. He lived to raise four children of their own; many themselves becoming important figures in Karakura such as Dean, Hospital Director and more. As most of his children left Karakura to pursue their own dreams, Junpei was left with his troublesome grandchildren and great grandchildren. He found his peace after living through an entire century and lived out his days within the Saiky Estate, which soon became his final place to rest.
The Saiky family will be hosting a funeral in his remembrance at the local Shinsei Seinaru Monastery, the shrine on the mountain for those unaware, tomorrow afternoon.
Junpei enjoyed his walks through Karakura and in doing so touched the hearts of many citizens of the city. The shrine, the city, and the Saiky family will miss him greatly. Rest well, Junpei Saiky and thank you for your years of service.
