[✮] Upon pressing play, a brown haired female across a light pink-haired female was seen in view. At first view, there was a notebook on the table, in front of it was a small hamster eating celery! [✮]
Nicole - “May you state your name for the camera, any name works, responding to your job or legal wise.”
Yuma - “I am Yuma DeLuca, Acting Mayor of Karakura as of currently.”
Nicole - “Right, now, DeLuca. Could you start with what you know? Regarding the break-in at town hall.”
Yuma - “From what was told to me and what we eventually found out. A gang, called Manhanto, had taken a judge and ransacked the lobby and the Mayor’s office of the town hall. Eventually, Ami Aki had found them and fought them. Which, as we all know, led the mayor into her current state.”
Nicole - “Do you have any idea how they reached the mayor, or rather, the offices?”
Yuma - “I wouldn't know, the power was cut the the town hall when it happened, to my knowledge. So, our CCTV wouldn't have caught anything. I also was not at the town hall at the time.”
Nicole - “When you reached the town hall, how was the scene. If you are comfortable explaining that is”
Yuma - “Oh, everything was tossed around. Books on the ground, the map of Karakura City was flipped around. Ami’s office was completely trashed. I am unsure of how they got the judge in the first place, nor how Ami knew where to find them.”
[✮] Nicole seemed to move forward, writing down everything Yuma was saying, looking up every so often [✮]
Nicole - “Now I'm going to step into the questions regarding your role as acting mayor. How prepared were you to step into this role on such short notice?”
Yuma - “It isn't the first time I have taken the position. But, this time, I am prepared to take on this position.”
Nicole - “How do you plan on reassuring the community during this time as acting mayor?”
Yuma - "I ask for the community to work with the government rather than fight it. There have been many times where situations could have been fixed or handled if people simply just, well, did the right thing and reported it to the police. I will try to help those affected by the situation directly, but this is a community effort. If nothing is being reported, how can we know what to fix if no one tells us? Yknow?"
Nicole - “I completely agree, though if a gang was able to get that close to a judge, and the mayor of this town. What does that say about their level of influence? Is there anything you, as acting mayor, are doing to prevent this from happening again?'
Yuma - "I cannot do anything if I know nothing of what is going on. If people are withholding information on anything similar to this or this situation entirely, they need to speak up. Otherwise, this will continue to happen. How they got to the Judge at the Town Hall in the first place is a mystery to me in the first place. As the mayor, she went to them. I think that shows a type of bravery that this town should embrace rather than point fingers and hate towards the Government.”
[✮] Yuma sighed, catching the reporter’s attention [✮]
Nicole - “Mayor Ami was indeed brave, risking her life and much more. With that being said, with you being in the same position, do you feel safe?”
Yuma - "I feel completely safe. I trust our town's Police Force, along with my own family, to be able to protect me along the community. I walk around town on a daily and I don't get harassed."
Nicole - “That is lovely to know, I'm glad this didn't cause you any issues to run our town properly. Do you believe or have speculation that the mayor was specifically targeted? Along with the judge, or was it just another way to scare the town into acting against our officers and government officials?”
Yuma - "The sad thing about Karakura City and how people treat the government, people target government officials simply for small and very minor things. There could be a million and one reasons why they would attack the Judge, or any Government Official at that."
Nicole - “I completely agree, our town is filled with so many citizens ready to jump at any wrong said given to them. Though, is there any information you can give regarding Mayor Ami or Judge Kasuhito? Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm bad with names.”
Yuma - "To my knowledge, they both are still in the hospital. They are getting the most amazing care by our Doctors, we have here in Karakura City.”
[✮] The video was edited to show the hospital; it was dark, only with the lights from inside illuminating the street in front. Fading back to when Nicole spoke, it zoomed into the middle of the two women. [✮]
Nicole - “I believe this is the last question I have for you. Do you, acting Mayor Yuma DeLuca, have anything personal to tell our citizens of Karakura? What are your priorities? Anything to say to ease their minds?”
Yuma - “Just report things you find suspicious. If you don't tell anyone, nothing will get done about it since no one will know about it. Trust us in making the town better, greater even. But the first step starts with you.”
[✮] The reporter closed her book, placing her pen on top. The video seemed to be edited and was shortly cut, given an end scene [✮]

K818 - “For legal reasons, I cannot state my full name, so it’s K181.”
Nicole - “Great, we are going to get into it straight away if you don't mind. When were you first made aware of the situation at town hall, more specifically to the 110 call?”
K181- “I wasn’t present at the emergency call we received. I was one of the responding officers after all our units were deployed. I was under the impression that it was just a break-in with a couple of people who caused trouble. However. . . as we all know, that wasnt the case.”
[✮] The sound of a pencil etching onto paper could be heard; small thumping sounds on the table coming from the opposite room. [✮]
Nicole - “When you first arrived on the scene, what was your initial thought. Explain to me in as much detail as you can.”
K818- “Like i stated before, I was under the impression it was a nasty break-in. I had arrived at a crowd of people outside, as I'm sure many had seen. The interior of the town hall was a complete wreck. However, we had many talented officers to quickly but things under control in regards to town hall's status.”
Nicole- “Right of course, though as we know this wasnt just any ordinary break-in in was it? What were you told by - I'm guessing the commanding officer. What was the update given to you?”
K818- “I'm afraid I can’t disclose that information, miss. But yes, it was no ordinary break-in; anyone who listens to the news would know that.”
Nicole - “Sorry, I should have guessed that was on me. Let me ask this then, from you, a town official. What can be confirmed so far?”
K818 - “Sorry, I'm a bit lost. I was under the impression that the news station knew this story very well. The deputy mayor's husband was one of the people inside the town hall, I believe a reporter as well. Perhaps it's best to speak to him, no?”
[✮] The sc**** of a chair, scratch of a writing utensil against paper, and ever so often, the sound of rhythmic bumps vibrates the audio [✮]
Nicole - “That is correct, yes, though as a first responder, it's good to get their side first. This is quite touchy, so answer as you may. Is it likely that someone within the city officials leaked information that allowed this? Is it even likely? How were they, the criminals, able to get into the town hall and assault the mayor and judge?”
K818 - “That is currently under investigation. However it is being handled, I can assure you. I'm very limited in what I can tell you at this time. This is a very sensitive subject for all of us.”
Nicole - “I completely understand. I'm guessing you couldn't allow me to tell the public if you have anyone in questioning or under surveillance for this incident, either? If not, are there any precautions taken to ensure the safety of other government officials, such as the deputy mayor who stepped up in the mayor’s shoes? What about the public?
[✮] The reporter’s voice seemed to grow lower and more inquiring as the questions were thrown at the officer. [✮]
K818 - “That’s correct, we cannot disclose that information. My best suggestion would be to have faith in your government; it may take some time for all of us to reach a comfortable state again with this drastic change, however, it will be done in due time.
Nicole - “Faith in our government? The same government that was so easily taken advantage of, the same one that was so easily – How did no one see this coming? Does this city have any leverage left against the people who call themselves Manhanto, or are we playing catch-up with them? Are we playing into their games without knowing their rules?
[✮] The reporter seemed to get a more aggressive tone in asking these questions, hearing a shift in the chairs, the air was tight, and there was a pause in the speaking. The officer spoke up, and the chair scraping against the wooden floors filled the audio. [✮]
K818 - “I’m afraid that’s all the time I have miss.”
[✮] With that, there was another pause, then the audio cut out, coming to an end. [✮]
