Dawn's family opted to relocate to Karakura, Japan, when she was nine years old in search of better employment prospects. Dawn found the adjustment difficult because he had to say goodbye to his pals and his hometown's comfortable surroundings. He found it difficult to get used to living in a foreign nation and a strange culture, but because to his friendly disposition, he quickly made friends.
