General activity
I joined SchoolRP somewhere between late 2021 and early 2022. Since then, my activity has constantly shifted as my responsibilities outside the server grew. Over the course of these past four years I have taken multiple breaks, ranging from mere weeks to my most recent break which lasted around half a year. While my activity has shifted consistently over these past years, I feel that because I am graduating in just a few months and finishing classes in the next couple weeks I will be more capable of dedicating more time to not only SchoolRP in general, but the government faction if I am accepted.
Given that I will soon be free from schoolwork, and considering my current activity on the server, I feel that I would be put at around a 7/10, which I expect to soon move to an 8/10 as I will no longer have to focus on study.

History with factions
Over the course of the past four or so years I've only ever applied for and been accepted into the teacher faction (art teacher), this experience while unrelated to the government faction is still something I see as significantly important as it helped me learn the ropes around being in a faction and the general requirements for the applied role. Being in the teacher faction also helped me learn my limits, being in one of the most high maintenance factions gave me the opportunity to figure out what I can and cannot do and when I need to cut back to prevent the possibility of getting burnt out.
History with CrimeRP

What is your motivation for applying?:
Having only ever been part of the teacher faction, applying for something that differs from my past experience feels like the most natural next step for me. I want to try something new, and the government faction wasn't even something I'd really considered until the applications were announced on the town discord. Between my time in CrimeRP and being a teacher as the only formal role I've ever held, I had become more drawn to the government over other options such as reporter, shrine, or EMS. From what I've seen on the outside, the government faction is more structured and serious than most of the other factions on the server, an environment that I genuinely feel I'd fit into well. I'm hoping that joining will let me experience the server from a completely different angle, and push my roleplay further than it's gone before.

The Constitution of Karakura
The constitution of Karakura is a list of seventeen articles detailing the rights and responsibility of every citizen of Karakura. Each article has significant importance to the way individuals live their lives, from the guarantee that every citizen will not have their human rights infringed upon to the right to plead Not-Guilty to a crime upon being arrested by an officer of the Karakura Police Department (KPD). This constitution and it's articles are heavily based off the real-world constitution of Japan, with alterations made to better fit the world of SchoolRP.
Karakura's laws, regulations, and legislature.
The government of Karakura is responsible for the safety and wellbeing of it's citizens, this list of laws, regulations, and legislature was made to ensure the safety of Karakura's citizens. This list details every all of the possible offences such as fineable offences, motor vehicle offences, animal-related offences, minor crimes, assault crimes, government crimes, major crimes, and lastly murder crimes. This list is used by the officers of the Karakura Police Department (KPD) to arrest individuals who intentionally violate them, it is also used by the government as evidence in restraining orders and in trials held by the judicial branch to decide whether a person is guilty or not-guilty of committing a crime.
What are your goals for being in Government Faction?:
My goals for joining the government faction range between both short-term goals and long-term goals. These goals were not only my motivation in general for applying to another faction, but are also specific for joining the government faction.
Short-term goals
My short-term goals for joining the faction are mostly based on the fact I had only recently come out of a break which lasted around half a year. By joining the government faction, I'll be able to reinvolve myself within the server from a different position than I left in. As another goal for the short-term, I want to meet new people that I haven't yet interacted with, which I feel will be easier given how the government faction is very player involved. As a lawyer, I'll also be able to improve how I roleplay and write lore due to the heaviness of the paperwork and possible interactions to be had.
Long-term goals
My long term goals for joining the faction are to mostly give myself another outlet in which I can create meaningful roleplays that aren't always in relation to CrimeRP. I also want to contribute meaningful developments to the government faction, whether it be in the form of participating in law changes ICLY, or providing feedback OOC based on my own past experiences externally while involving my newer internal experience within the faction.
In your own words, describe the different roles of the Government Faction:
Within the government faction there are three departments which people can be applied for by anyone on the server, these departments are governor, judge, and lawyer. These departments each rely on one another to keep the Karakura government stable. Additionally there are the roles of Mayor and Deputy Mayor which cannot be applied for, and are generally held by the faction lead and an individual with extensive experience within the faction (likely to be one of the department heads).
[Mayor]
The Mayor is the head and public face of the faction, representing the government as both an internal authority as well as an external one to the general public. The Mayor oversees the direction of the government, and is ultimately responsible for the town hall and government functioning properly and as smoothly as possible. They set the directives for each department, detailing the jobs to be completed while coordinating the flow of work to ensure that the government remains stable. Beyond setting direction, the Mayor is also responsible for the roster and membership of the faction OOC, managing who is brought in and ensuring the government remains appropriately staffed. They coordinate between the different branches of the faction, keeping an eye on each department's leadership to make sure that everyone is doing what they're supposed to and that no one is falling behind. As the public face of the government, the Mayor also represents the faction externally, whether through formal announcements, public events, or general interaction with the community, ensuring that Karakura's government maintains a visible and reliable presence.
[Deputy Mayor]
The Deputy Mayor is basically the Mayor's right hand, it's not really its own separate role so much as an extension of what the mayor already does. A lot of it comes down to helping run things internally, whether that's events, tasks, or simply keeping the faction organized day to day. If the Mayor isn't around, the Deputy Mayor is the one who steps up and covers for them.

Governor is a bit of a misleading name in all honesty, it's more of a town hall clerk role than anything. Most of the job is public-facing stuff such as inspecting businesses to make sure they're up to code and surveying people to get a sense of what's going on around the city. They also help out with paperwork like adoptions and marriage certificates, which takes some pressure off the judicial branch. And then there's the front desk work too, handling inquiries and ID requests. In short, if it's paperwork or admin-heavy, there is a good chance that it will fall into the responsibilities of a governor.

On top of that, judges sign off on warrant requests from the Karakura Police Department (KPD) too, depending on whether the evidence provided actually holds up.

Lawyers also do a fair bit of front desk work, answering citizen inquiries while also building up their own client lists.
Overseeing the department is the Attorney General of Karakura, who manages the lawyers as a whole and typically has a final say on how legal matters are handled.
