Describe your activity on the server:
Okay! So, recently - for the past couple months or so - I’ve been quite active! More specifically, I’d say I’m active more than 30 hours a week. However, that is due to summer break. As school starts again within the next couple weeks, my availability will shift depending on the amount of attention it demands. Regardless, I will still be on as much as I possibly can and am confident that school won't have as much of an effect on my overall activity. I am, however, consistently unavailable in the evening on weekends.

What position are you applying for?:
Lawyer
What is your motivation for applying?:
I’ve rejoined the server after a couple years of inactivity, and while I love the SchoolRP factor of the server, I’ve really been meaning to explore some of the factions. Honestly, I never imagined joining the Town faction specifically, but while brainstorming about this character, I realized it would be a near-perfect fit for her! My other characters are definitely more lighthearted, so this gives me an opportunity to play as someone realistically snobbish and poised in accordance with their age. Not only that, but as I did more research around the role, it piqued my interest.
Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:
Yes, I have a thorough understanding of Karakura’s laws and Constitutional rights. This includes offenses, crimes, and the seventeen articles of Karakura’s Constitution. I also recognize that it is subject to change, therefore it must regularly be checked.
What are your goals for being in Government Faction?:
My overall goal is to expand my roleplay experiences and player interactions. There are varying types of situations that can occur with being an adult, even more so, when you are in a faction. It’s something I’ve always been interested in being a part of! More transparently, I hope it’ll bring more serious roleplay experiences and opportunities for DetailRP; I love it, what can I say?
In your own words, describe the different roles of the Government Faction:
Within the Government Faction, there are three applicable roles:
Governor
A governor’s responsibilities primarily focus on the upkeep of Karakura. Oftentimes, they are found issuing I.D. cards, officiating marriages, or surveying individuals to account for public opinion. However, other duties include approving adoption paperwork and attending trials. Furthermore, they are required to perform routine shop inspections, ensuring there are no violations to both public safety and establishment codes.
Lawyer
A lawyer’s job can be more private, as a large part of their title includes building and meeting with clientele. It is imperative that they maintain a respectable relationship, as in this role, connections are crucial. They are researchers, dedicating themselves to defending, or prosecuting on behalf of their clients. The goal is to strengthen their case as much as they can to ensure a win. However, this does not exempt them from standard desk work, as they share some responsibilities with governors and judges.
Judge
Judges are the defining figures within trials. They control the atmosphere of their courtrooms, ensuring the attendees are acting accordingly. In addition, they briefly spectate during lawyers’ arguments, stepping in when necessary or to sustain/overruling objections. In the end, based on the evidence provided to them and the cases created by the lawyers, they are able to decide the trajectory of the trial, as well as the fate of the defendant. Along with that, they share responsibilities with lawyers and governors; they indulge in front desk work, file restraining orders, officiate marriages, and approve adoptions.
Following that, there are two additional roles, that while they can’t directly be applied for, they are pertinent to the operations of Karakura’s Town Hall:
Deputy Mayor
A designated right-hand to the Mayor. One could consider them as an extension. They are a direct shoe-in when the Mayor is unavailable, often overtaking any responsibilities needed. The deputy mayor will also hold any necessary meetings and may be required to update the mayor as needed.
Mayor
The head of Town Hall, as well as all of Karakura. This powerful figure oversees the operations within the town including the other factions. Additionally, they approve and help direct construction projects and law changes. Basically, they’re the big boss.
Do you acknowledge that upon being accepted you can be subject to removal at any given time?:
Yes, I acknowledge that I am subject to removal at any time.
Have you read & agreed to follow the Government Faction rules?:
Yes, I have read and agree to follow the rules of the Government Faction.

Full name:
A woman with copper hair strode into the interview room. Thanks to her heels, each step created a clear, distinct ‘CLACK’ that echoed off the walls. She tugged at the back of the chair, carefully lowering herself into her seat. Her throat cleared, her jade irises fixated on the interviewer.
“My full name is Lenora Barrett.”
Her right arm twitched for a split moment before she settled for a bow of her head.
“I understand bows are more customary in Japan. Apologies, I’m used to handshakes.”
Preferred title (Mr., Mrs., etc.):
The interviewee’s medium-length nails drummed against her knees.
“Ms. Barrett is fine.”
Her lips parted- was she going to say more? Scratch that; she hummed.
Current age:
The woman beamed, placing a hand on her cheek. With the other, she flicked her wrist playfully.
“Oh, I’m twenty-seven. Can’t you tell?”
A snicker filled the room.
“I know everyone says this, especially in a place as reputable as Japan, but the secret is sunscreen. It stops the aging process-”
Nora snapped her fingers.
“-Like that. Do try it out and let me know how it works for you.”
Date of birth:
“November 17. A few teenagers have told me that makes me a… Scorpio? Now, I haven’t the slightest idea of what that’s supposed to mean, but alas.”
…Did she really just say ‘alas’? Unironically?
“I absolutely despise the arachnid, though.”
Work experience:
The corners of the woman’s lips curled upwards. Her chin raised in triumph.
“I graduated from the University of Cambridge. During my third year, I studied abroad in Germany at the University of Regensburg. Upon my return, I received my Bachelor of Arts Honors degree in Law, then I enrolled in their ‘Master of Law’ program. Through my dedication to my studies and travelling abroad, I’ve faced many different scenarios and individuals."
Her eyes, however, darkened.
“I prefer to specialize in criminal law, if that is an option. I find it… quite intriguing- both the people and the job itself. I don't favor civil law, but I am more than able to do that, too.”
Nationality & born location:
“I was born and primarily raised in London, but I’m also Greek. I believe the proper term is Anglo-Greek.”
The nails of her right hand briefly itched at her left palm.
“I visit Greece frequently; it’s beautiful. You should see it for yourself.”
Criminal record:
Barrett nearly scowled. Instead, a snort escaped her.
“Do I seem as if I’d apply for a job like this if I had one? Please.”
Oh, she took full offense to the question. Her lips pressed together.
“No, I do not have a criminal record. I could never associate myself with… No, just no.”
What makes you a good candidate for this job?:
Suddenly, the ginger deadpanned. The silence was deafening, it nearly caused the interviewer to squirm in their seat. Lenora realized the discomfort she caused, quickly taking a deep breath; a reassuring smile was offered.
“I will not sit here and claim I am superior to other candidates. Gloating on my own behalf is not in my nature… Most of the time.”
A smug smile crept onto her face to accompany that last comment.
“What I will say, however, is that I wholeheartedly believe in doing what’s right, and thankfully, there is a definitive outline for that. Of course, many situations come with some gray area; it is my job to clarify that.”
-
“Regardless of a person’s status, I will dedicate myself to ensuring they get the representation they deserve- I’m not shallow enough to leave an individual without a fighting chance. Some people need a shoulder to cry on, which is respectable in itself. Others, however, rely on wins, dependability. I’m confident I can offer both. If I’m unable to, can I really call myself a Barrett?"
A disdainful tone laced itself between her words.
"There is too much injustice in this town that needs to be corrected. It is time that those whose despicable actions have gone unnoticed are dragged into the light and prosecuted for the harm they’ve inflicted."
The two continued to converse. Near the end of the interview, Barrett routinely bowed her head, offering the individual a card with her full name and contact information on it.
