On a scale of one to ten, I would say that my activity is on a solid eight. With my timezone putting me way ahead of the rest of the server, I am generally only on till around 6am my time. If needed, I am able to stay up later but I generally try to sleep before the sun rises. [Not the healthiest but it's still something !] However, as I am a college student, there will be some days where I would have to log earlier because I'd have to wake up early the next day for my classes. But, with my second year coming to an end towards the mid of April, my activity should be able to shoot up as I'd only have to worry about work and not waking up early for classes.

In terms of activity regarding what I do on the server, I would say that I'd have a rather extensive experience with that? When I first joined SRP, I found myself in the Crime faction and as time went on - I started trying other factions. I was a professor for three months and then I decided to join the reporter faction! Where I have stayed since then. My one year anniversary in reporter is actually coming soon so!! Excited for that. Apart from being in paid factions, I've also dabbled in the jock faction of SRP. My time there was cut short but I really enjoyed myself there. I have learnt so much from being in this factions. From learning how to plan engaging lessons for students to detailing a javelin throw.

Why do you want to become a Shopkeeper?:
I'd be lying if I said it wasn't about the money. Yes, I am greedy for money and I want more. But apart from the obvious, I believe that my shop idea would allow for a new roleplay hotspot. This idea was developed sometime last year in october with my good friend Casey, we wanted to co-own a shop with our characters Kaoru Jin-Ryuk Hattori and Ciaran Crombie. It was supposed to be their retirement after leaving a life of crime. Although now the two of them aren't together, I personally still find this idea really cool and simply wanted to try out! If I get in, I get in. Of course, this store would allow for me to bring a new character to life.
Essentially, I want money, I want new form of RP and I just wanted to try applying to shopkeeper.
What do you plan to do with your shop, and what makes it unique?:
The name itself is a hint at what this store is going to be. 'PuriKura' is the japanese abbreviation of the english term 'Print club'. This store is heavily inspired by the photobooths that you can find in Japan. The ones where high schoolers would visit with their friends to take pictures and have a physical copy of the picture as a keepsake. In SIngapore, these photobooths are really common too. But instead of it just being a random box in the middle of nowhere, it is a proper store. There is a whole area for you to fix your makeup and hair - and a whole section dedicated to props that you can use for your own mini photoshoot.
For my plans regarding the store, I intend to have an open area that'll be built according to a theme. These themes will last between one to two months and then they'll change. Which means that it'll be a new experience every time someone visits it. I'll use an example to explain my idea further.
Example:
The theme for April and May is 'American Diner'
The store would have an area that is built to replicate the diner and there would be multiple stations for photographers to stand. When the store is not opened, I intend on keeping the themed build open to the public - they would just have to take the pictures themselves.
I have a few ideas for potential themes that I will list:
- A train cabin
- A plane
- An elevator
- Aquarium
- Circus
- Candy land
- Jail
The possibilites are endless with this. It could even have special themed sets for festive seasons! Like for Lunar New Year we could have a traditional chinese house set up.
What will you sell in your shop?:
I intend on selling mostly props, hats and if possible? Those facial expression sets.
For example, since the theme that I am using for this application is American Diner props that could suit this theme that is being sold at my store would be:
- Drinks (Items, not actual food)
- Snacks (Items, not actual food)
- Records
- Glasses accessories
- Signs that can be furniture/held
- Check pad
I also intend on swapping items per seasons so customers would always be able to get something new every few weeks.
Of course for my shop, there will be something different which will be the photostrips. The customer would pay 5k - 10k (Depending on if the design they chose is limited or one of the basic ones) The way the customers would order the photostrips would go to the cashiers and then they'd be handed a 'ticket' (It'll be a book with their chosen photostrip theme). Afterwards, they would go to the area that they want and hand the photographer the book. The photographer would then snap three pictures of them and edit them into the photostrip before asking for their discord user in /looc. And then within minutes, the edited picture would be placed into the photostrip template and sent to the customer via dms!
If I were to get a two storied building for my store, the photobooth areas would be on the first floor that'll be open 24/7 for public use.

How will the shop look like?
In all honesty, I do not have a preference for the exterior. The interior is what matters when it comes to this store as that is where everything comes to life. The interior ideally would be at least two levels high. With the first level being the photobooth area and the second being the shop area.
In my shop, there will be three areas with plain colored back drops (Pink, White and Blue) but the main attraction would be the specialty built sets.
RippedZan has very kindly offered me their building skills and helped me build up a mock up of how a themed set would look. [Of course, modifications will be made should I get accepted.]
There will be designated spots for photographers to stand. The mock up build is also lacking SRP furniture and other details so think of this as the foundation before you add more makeup to spruce things up. Also once again, credits to RippedZan for this build because I cannot build for the life of me...

Event Idea
I've actually reached out to the lead of the Photography Club regarding this so if I were to get accepted, this event would be something I'd actually host.
Event rundown:
A collaboration between PuriKura and the Photography Club.
The photography club lead will have a meeting with my shopkeeper after spotting an advertisement regarding PuriKura looking for clubs to collaborate with. The club members would then gather with the employees of PuriKura where they will be given an IC briefing (As well as an ooc one) regarding how to operate the store. Coming up with the photostrips will definitely require a lot of OOC planning as we are going to have to sit in a VC and figure out how they wish to design their photostrips - but I will do my very best to ensure lots of RP happens.
What is involved in this event:
- A limited edition, one opening special themed photostrip designed by the photography club
- Photography club students being able to gain real IC experience in photography (This will be like a gig for them as they will be getting paid)
Uniforms
The uniforms for the store would change according to the theme that is currently set up. For example, for April to May the theme is 'American Diner' so the uniforms for both cashiers and photographers would be server uniforms. Inspired by old diner uniforms!
If the next theme is 'Airplane' the uniforms would be changed to flight stewardess and pilot uniforms.
Special discounts
As my shop will be primarily targetted towards students (As they are IRL), I intend on doing a group special. If someone were to bring a group of at least 5 people to participate in one of the photobooths, they will be able to purchase two different photostrip themes for a discounted price. Buy one get half off the second type of thing!
How would my booth operate during events
If an event were to occur and PuriKura is able to have a booth, I intend on having a simple one color BG and have a specially made themed photostrip to go along with the event.
Example:
If there is a halloween ball and PuriKura is boothing, we will have an orange backdrop set up and have a special halloween themed photostrip design!

I feel like I'm repeating myself non stop but Casey and I came up with this idea while we were discussing our korea trip. As someone who comes from an Asian country, these types of photo studios are rather common. We have a whole strip in Singapore dedicated to photo studios and I'm unsure if others around the world get to experience these with their friends OOCLY so I figured that if I were to get to create this on SRP, at least others would get a chance to experience taking a themed photoshoot and getting a physical picture as a keepsake.
