I would describe myself as a fairly active player on the server overall, having played for many years and staying as involved as I can, aside from a few periods when it became stagnant. This was mainly due to IRL responsibilities, such as work, which conflicted with my playtime. Despite this, I reached a point where I have far more freedom to come online at many times during the week and engage with the rest of the community in all kinds of roleplaying scenarios and events! These involve, but are not limited to, growing connections with residents throughout the City of Karakura, participating in major City-held / Club / School-Related events alongside companions (one of which was a professor internship), volunteering to help with several community events with the former Shop Owner & Co-Owner of Yona-Yona (a business which is now shut down at the time of writing), and progressively making efforts to grow a bigger reputation as an experienced Tailor (a hobby and self-given occupation that my character has in-game). On this note, my character is indirectly affiliated with an OCCLY Tailoring Server called "Euphoria," which places great emphasis on providing a safe space where tailors and artists alike work together to deliver noteworthy apparel and artwork to many clients. Most recently, I've also contributed to helping establish a brand-new shop within the server alongside the Shopkeeper, known as "Lunaria Atelier," for which I designed the logo. For these reasons, I've become even more engaged with the community, and I seek to maintain that through other means as well, even to this day!
To summarize, if I were to describe my current activity throughout the year and up until now on a scale of one to ten, I'd most definitely rate it at a seven. This is my schedule for the days and times when I'm typically able to come online.

I'm interested in applying for the [Priest] role! Also, I'd prefer it to be transferred to a different, open character slot rather than my main one, which holds the [College][B] Tag.
What is your motivation for applying?
Faction Interest
I've always loved going to the events that the Shrine holds. Each time there is one, it's often an experience that only makes me want to visit again, specifically ones that I can recall, such as the Himatsuri (Fire) Festival, a Public Cleansing at the Hot Springs, a Summer Lantern Festival, and most notably the New Year's Celebrations! I don't believe any other faction on SchoolRP has intrigued me more than this one, purely for the cultural significance that it holds and emulates, and the many new roleplay opportunities that it offers. I've been encouraged to join several times by friends I've played with over the years, especially those who have experienced the shrine faction firsthand. I also vividly remember participating in a Shrine internship over one year ago alongside a friend who went on to become a Maiden for some time! It let me see much of what the Shrine offers in terms of engagement and what makes it such a unique environment for roleplay. That time is one of many examples of why I'd love to join. I believe this faction will offer me a different area of roleplay that, although I'm not yet accustomed to it, I'd still love to participate in alongside other like-minded people who share that interest!
Shintoism & Culture Interest
Another reason I'd be very interested in the Shrine is my genuine curiosity about learning more about Shinto. Japan's culture as a whole has captivated me since I started playing SchoolRP and creating original characters, from the core values that define the people who represent the country and its society, to the arts and traditions it's typically known for. The religions that they worship are definitely one of these things, specifically Shintoism, as it's always been a belief that has intrigued me, and I would gladly learn more about it. Joining the shrine will definitely encourage me to immerse myself in this very interesting and eye-catching way of life in a much more fun and engaging way, and I feel it will also provide me with many new and amazing roleplay opportunities that I'd greatly look forward to amongst the rest of the staff and people who visit.
Character's Background/Relation to Shintoism
Lastly, I wholeheartedly believe this occupation suits my character's modesty, which is a major personality trait that he typically portrays during many roleplay sequences, and naturally inherited from his family lineage within his lore. For this reason, he strives to build healthy relationships and connections with people he appreciates and cares deeply for, and joining the Shrine will bring forth a new arc I've been meaning to give him for some time, giving him a new sense of purpose while holding his ideals close. This will further incentivize me to expand my character's lore around his interests/morals as a Karakura Resident, and it will also let me experience a side of SchoolRP I've wanted to become more involved with for a long time!
What do you currently know about Shintoism? Are you willing to learn more about it?
As of now, my knowledge of Shinto isn't extensive, and I still have a lot to commit to memory; however, I'm fully willing to go out of my way to learn in my spare time if needed. Not only do I fully understand that this role requires a solid foundation of roleplay knowledge and interaction regarding the fundamentals of the practice itself, but Shintoism as a religion also fascinates me to a greater degree that I feel stretches beyond just simply roleplay. In fact, I've made efforts to do research on my own time, and even long before, when I initially applied for the role on a different character. I can say with utmost confidence that I'd absolutely love to immerse myself further in learning about the religion through the many interactions and roleplay opportunities I'll be offered during my time at the Monastery.

Toshihiro's formality is often on full display while tending to the Shinsei Seinaru Monastery and in every interaction he has with others. Although generally not very talkative, he has no issue with cooperation and presenting himself as a valuable asset to the Shrine, while also expressing deep appreciation for his title. One of his most notable traits is understanding the importance of making an appropriate first impression on those he meets, and knowing by default that he should always treat others how he'd like to be treated, especially in a sacred space such as this one. He would typically spend his time performing prayer rituals for the Kami, making offerings, cleaning the environment, and monitoring the shrine grounds to ensure everything was in balance and no trouble arose. In addition, his compassion and willingness to bond with the rest of his Shrine Peers knew no bounds, yearning to build stronger relationships with them through Shinto practices, activities, and passionately sharing his interests and hobbies outside of being a Priest, including his love for tailoring. For guests, this too was almost no different for Toshihiro. He kindly greets anyone who visits with open arms, assuring them that the environment they set foot in is one where they are safe and are free to ask for any assistance if required. Overall, he acknowledges very well that his presence and the actions he commits, alongside the many other shrine staff, play a vital role in making the Monastery feel truly safe, and a treasured piece of his culture which should be respected.

Although stricken with shock, Toshihiro would quickly compose himself and act with urgency, approaching the individual as formally and directly as he knew how. He understood well that, after all, the Shrine was not to be treated as a playground in any way, shape, or form, which he demonstrated accordingly.
"Sir/Ma'am! I would very kindly ask that you do not prance around the rooftops in such a way. These actions are not to be tolerated in a place such as this. If you hesitate to comply, then we'll have no choice but to escort you off the premises..."
Upon hearing their willingness to comply, he'd attempt to guide the individual towards safer ground. In doing so, his tone would carry a strong hint of seriousness, yet also lightheartedness, as he offered his gratitude and a fair warning before carrying on his way.
"Thank you for your cooperation. I was partially worried that you'd potentially harm yourself. However, I'd politely like to ask once more that you don't repeat something like that, please. Not only is it immensely disrespectful to myself and the rest of the staff, but even to the very grounds you set foot on. If this is to happen again, there'll likely be more serious consequences... Understood?" He said in a strong but calming tone; nonetheless, his gentle demeanor eased the situation for both sides. Although his mood showed reasonable discontent, his emotions wouldn't sway him from believing everyone deserves a second chance to redeem themselves and their actions, as long as they're willing to show for it.

In his hometown, he periodically visited another monastery in his free time, paying his respects and making offerings to the Kami, while also following the guidance and teachings of the several maidens and priests who welcomed him. This was no different; to him, the Shrine Grounds were a pure and sacred place that reminded him almost of home and greatly exuded a feeling of tranquility that he couldn't compare to anywhere else. His fascination with the atmosphere and peaceful nature, having visited many times over the years, only reinforced the notion that he, too, was capable of preserving this feeling of peace by helping to make the shrine feel safe and free of calamity for visiting guests.
