Describe your activity on the server:
I started playing SRP on June 23rd, 2023. Being a part of this community has been one of the highlights of my life as I've met many great people throughout the years. I've laughed, I've cried, and I've even made life long bonds. With that said, I try to be on as often as I can with the exception of playing other games and being at work in real life. I had to take a break last month due to some health issues, but now that they are figured out I'm able to come back just in time to once again try to apply for KPD.

During my time on SRP, I've done many sorts of roleplay ranging from family roleplays to school roleplays, all the way to gang roleplays. I've tried a bit of everything here and there, and am even a teacher, though I've only been able to join the teaching faction. I spend my time mostly with friends but would love the chance to become a part of the KPD faction and meet new people, new friends, and even hang out with some of my favorite officers (they know who they are)! I only work part time and am currently taking a break from college to focus on some other things, so I have plenty of time to be a teacher and KPD officer as well as hang out with friends on other games!

What is your motivation for applying?:
During my time on srp, as I said above, I've tried many different types of roleplays. Some of characters were adults, some were children, others were gang members, some even were arrested at some point. During all of this time, I've only ever been in two factions - teaching and sports. I've had interest in different factions; however, it never worked out. My first time applying for KPD, I was still relatively new to the server and didn't completely understand everything it entailed or even the amount of work the players put in for that. The longer I've been on srp, the more interested I've become in it. I've seen many events involving the KPD and have even befriended a few of the officers. My main motivation for joining the KPD would have to be to experience a new type of roleplay and learn more about the happenings. I want to roleplay as an officer and forge both icly and oocly relationships.
What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
While my knowledge of Police work both icly and oocly are lacking, I'm ready and willing to learn as much as I can. Below I have made tables of what I have studied during my time on srp.

| Tranquilizer | This is an item made of plastic that is used to help neutralize suspects. Unlike the items listed below, this can only be used by Police Sergeants and Detective Inspectors and those above them. This requires an action and a successful roll to be removed from range and requires a successful hit for suspect to be knocked out for two ooc minutes. This is not muggable and has a range of thirty blocks. |
| Pepper Spray | This is an item that has a three use limit that is accessible for all officers and EMS workers. This item requires an action and a successful roll to be removed from range. Requires a successful hit to blind suspect for 60 seconds unless suspect is wearing a gas mask. It cannot be stolen and has a range of two blocks. |

| Fingerprint Scanner | This is an item accessible to all on-duty officers. This item must be used as ItemRP and is used to scan the fingerprints of suspects. It did not state if this item was muggable, but given that the item most likely is located inside of the KPD, it's safe to assume it is not muggable. |
| First Aid Kit | This is an item accessible to all on-duty officers. This item must be used as ItemRP and is used to help injured suspects and civilians while on duty. This is only a temporary fix meaning that EMS must be called for serious injuries to be properly treated. This item adds an extra five oocly minutes to the bleed out timer. |
| Body Camera | This is an item accessible to all on-duty officers. This item must be used as ItemRP and is used to help keep police officers honest when on duty. The cameras record all icly actions (you record your screen oocly) to keep the officers honest and prevent dirty cops. You can not remove or mug the camera, however you can destroy it with a blunt or sharp weapon. It takes two hits with a blunt weapon and one with a sharp to do so. |
Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
Police are important to SchoolRP because with the amount of crime and gangs in Karakura, police are essential to keeping the city's inhabitants safe. They work hard to keep the city under control and help in many ways including putting criminals behind bars, protecting the city's higher ups (the mayor, deputy mayor, etc.), and even taking reports for things like theft and harassment. There is no crime too small for KPD and they are always willing to help out when needed. With all of that said, on a deeper icly level, it allows the residents of Karakura to feel safe when walking at any time of the day.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are needed to attend or you will be punished?
Yes, I understand and fully acknowledge this.

“My name is Daniella Mauve Ivy. It's a mouthful, I know. I prefer to go by Dani.”

“I’m currently twenty-five years old. My birthday is in October. On Halloween to be exact.”
(Currently 18 before application).
What are your character's gender and pronouns?:
“I go by the pronouns she and her and I am female. Good on you for being progressive enough to ask. The people in New Jersey were not that progressive.”
Please select your highest academic role at the time of writing this application:
(Grade-12/Bachelors/Masters/PhD):
Daniella is currently grade 12.
What languages does your character know besides Japanese?:
“I know JSL and French. I’m originally from New Jersey, which is in America, but we moved here to start anew.”
Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
"Ah! Yes, it would be important for you to know what I look like wouldn't it? Here, let me do a spin!"

Description: The girl before you exuded a hefty air of confidence, surprisingly so for her short stature. Her purple highlighted hair bounced lightly, contrasting against her green eyes. Her quiet voice rarely raised, but with every word that unmistakable New Jersey accent bled through. The expression she wore daily could be described as a hostile RBF, but interacting with her would prove this was just her cover, not her story.
--
Daniella Mauve Ivy, more commonly known as Dani is a 5'0 tall woman with long black hair coated with dark purple highlights. She is thin and slightly underweight, weighing only about 90lbs. Even with being underweight and thin, she is relatively muscular as she takes training to become an officer very seriously. She is the fourth oldest of seven siblings, her siblings Brian and Rebecca both residing in Karakura. She's a strong mother figure to her younger sister and tries to teach her right from wrong. She has what would be considered a resting you know what face and walks as though she has a purpose.
How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
"That's a good question. In professional situations, I do my best to stay professional but allow myself to joke from time to time as I find it's important to allow yourself to release at least a small bit when at work. I work hard to build trusting relationships with co-workers that way I know if needed, I have people I can rely on. As for casual situations I tend to keep people outside of my close circle at an arm's length. This is because you never truly know who you can trust, especially in Karakura. It's important to keep your guard up and pay attention to those around you, even when off duty."
What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
"My outlook on co-workers and teamwork? Well, I believe both are very important, especially in this line of work. When you're a police officer, you rely on the coworkers with you to have your back and keep you safe, especially when things get intense. In the police force, your co-workers are your lifeline. You need to be able to rely on them as well as trust them. This makes it vital to build strong relationships with them and let them know you have their back as well."

What's your character's backstory?
It was a generally chillier Halloween in New Jersey. Renee Ivy laid on the couch as her children slipped on their Halloween costumes, ready to go out and trick or treat with all the other kids. What an eerie night Halloween was, it always made Renee uneasy. Maybe this is why she didn't realize she was in labor until hours later. Her husband, Winston finished getting the shoes on the three little ones before turning to his wife. "Are you sure you'll be ok?" he asked, worry evident in his voice. "I'll be just fine, Win. It's just some cramping. You know Halloween always makes me uneasy. I'm just going to turn on a movie and try to get some rest." Famous last words. About halfway through their trick or treating endeavor, Winston received a call from a neighbor. His wife was being rushed to the hospital as she had gone into labor. He quickly gathered his three children, who seemed to be bummed that their trick or treating was cut short, rushing to the hospital. By the time he got there, Renee was holding a beautiful baby girl. She smiled at her husband and children, tears in her eyes as she spoke. "Meet Daniella Mauve Ivy."
Fast forward several years and Daniella is now eight years old. She was a spitfire and a daredevil as well as a jock who had been training since we was five years old. She was constantly trying new things, but constantly getting hurt in the process. She'd go through multiple boxes of band aids in a week but still kept going. "What a child" her mother, Renee would say as she watched Daniella climb up the old tree in their backyard, scraping herself as she did. Daniella didn't seem to care about the sc****s, she was too busy having the time of her life. It wasn't until around age thirteen that her parents started to worry. She would giggle to herself, have moments where she'd make random noises or say words uncontrollably. She even started to talk to herself, mentioning hearing voices to herself. Daniella was diagnosed with mild schizophrenia, and while medication did help to an extent, Daniella forced herself to learn how to mask it. She refused to be the strange child who got bullied for things she couldn't control. After many years, she taught herself how to act like a normal human being, ignoring the voices, forcefully holding in the ticks and giggles. Life was almost normal for her, though she still struggled.
High school and college was a whole other story. Her family, including her five siblings and parents, Renee and Winston, moved to Karakura, thinking that this would be a better place for them. They quickly learned they were dead wrong. Crime was around every corner and while the children did their best to stay safe, they learned that in Karakura, there's no such thing. Their parents were found dead about a year after moving. They'd gotten into some trouble with one of the nearby gangs and ended up in a puddle of their own blood in the sewers. Brian, the eldest child, took to raising the rest of his siblings with the help of the twins and Daniella. Daniella felt as though her heart had been ripped out, her mother being her support system her entire life, but she sucked it up as she knew her siblings needed her - especially Rebecca who suffered from mild schizophrenia as well. That day changed something in Daniella, something inside her clicked and she began her journey to become a police officer. She made a vow that she would fight crime in the city of Karakura one day and avenge her parents by removing criminals from the streets.
General knowledge
Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
“No, you cannot legally own a pocket knife in Karakura, I mean if you could there'd be a lot more stabbings than there already are.”

You can also get some medical devices like wooden canes, eyepatches, bandages, and even hearing aids! Obviously this is just the tip of the iceberg, there's plenty more items you can get without a prescription.”

If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
"That's a good question considering we are held to a higher standard as officers of Karakura. If I noticed this, I'd immediately step in between the two, defusing the situation and gathering information on why it happened. Once I finished with that and the situation seems to have calmed down, I'll contact my higher up and let them know what I saw and the information that I had gathered, allowing them to make an informed decision on disciplinary action - that is if any is needed."
What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
"If my co-worker was being assaulted, I would quickly take in the situation, seeing if contacting back-up is needed before stepping in to help. I'd detain the assailant before questioning them on why they assaulted my co-worker. From there, I would ask my co-worker if they'd like to press charges and charge the assailant accordingly."
What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
"Corrupt, huh? That's a toughy, but an important question in this line of work. If I was informed that my coworker was corrupt, I'd immediately alert my suspicions to my higher ups, letting them know what I knew as of that moment as well as what I had seen or heard. After that, if allowed by my higher up, I would continue to gather information on my co-worker, being sure that they were corrupt and letting my higher up know so that the proper disciplinary action could be taken."
How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
"Sometimes you really wonder how desperate an officer must be to accept a bribe. Honestly, I'd turn them down immediately. I'd then make sure they were properly detained before reporting the incident to my higher up as I find it important that they know that the criminal is trying bribe officers."
