What's the title of your suggestion?: Make it easier to get college tag!
What's your suggestion?:
My suggestion is to lower the educational credits needed in order to get into college bachelors, and only college bachelors. As a masters degree is intended to be hard to get into in a realism sense.
I think lowering the credits needed to graduate to 30 rather than a whopping 50 would make it easier to get into college for those who are not able to grind to 50 in a better manner.
I personally have had issues and have been trying for months now to get a secondary college tag but am unable to be online during most hours school time goes on, therefor my weekends are taken up by trying to get credits. On top of my other responsibilities I partake in, it's been incredibly difficult to get to the point of graduation. I know I'm not the only person to face this struggle as well.
If you're already in a sports team the instance of you wanting to get into college on a non primary slot and your primary is a sports member, you could face strikes or warnings for not being active enough on your sports slot. Along with if you're in other factions - Like teacher, or professor. But those are just examples of in game situations that could halt the progress on it.
If you work a full time job, or are in school, it's hard to be online at the same time as school time in game, let alone during hours classes are hosted that actually have homework! Because even then, some don't even host with homework assigned to them so the point of participating is lessened. I'd also assume that's frustrating for teachers hosting classes that don't have homework to them, because not as many people attend.
So if not lowering the credits needed down to 30, perhaps add a stipulation where x amount of classes attended could result in 1 or 2 credits rather than an entire reliability on homework. It would still keep people attending classes. Though I could see that being abused and or exploited by completely negating credits as a whole.
Another idea would be to bring back exams more frequently, however, allow more people to pass via the exams rather than a very very small margin. But I do understand the reason as to why exams are seldom hosted as is because of the strain to the server and the crashes that ensue.
So that would bring me back to lowering the required credits to 30.
How will this benefit the server and community?:
It would benefit the quality of life of many of the people attempting to gain access into college. If you have responsibilities outside of SchoolRP it's incredibly difficult as is to get into college, sacrifices are often made beyond the screen and game in order to make time to do such a thing.
Allowing it to be a bit easier to get in would mean for better roleplay opportunities. And a bit less frustration from the player base.
College sees a bit more roleplay interactions, some college slots don't interact with anyone below college either, along with it would bring a more broad spectrum of new faces within sports teams, or other things you'd be required to have college for. As of right now, it's also difficult to get onto a team via scholarship, I believe this would help also alleviate stress from captains and prospecting tryoutees.
