What's the title of your suggestion?: Make vehicles stop working after driving on pavement

What's your suggestion?:
One of the main issues people encounter when driving vehicles is that they don't stop when you drive on the pavement, and if you're not quick enough, you could get in trouble for driving in the wrong areas.

I think that adding a plugin feature that prevents you from:
1. Spawning vehicles outside the road
2. Driving vehicles beyond the established road lines

would be a nice idea. Now, how on Earth would this work? Here's my idea:
- Make it so vehicles can't be placed down unless they're within a 3-block proximity of gray concrete powder (aka block used for roads)
- Make it so vehicles have a 90% speed reduction if vehicles go ontop of sidewalks (aka, if they go 3 blocks or further away from gray concrete powder)
- Pop up a title message if the player is driving the vehicle ontop of a sidewalk for longer than 5 seconds, telling them to go back on the road
- None of these rules are applicable to wheelchair and bicycle models

How will this benefit the server and community?:
This way, people would struggle a lot less with this rule and would make things a lot easier for staff to moderate

EDIT: Changed the slow-down feature and added a warning title message

+1 i cannot explain how often driving manages to mess my ping up so badly that i get 10+ second lag spikes that end up with me and my vehicle fused with some building

I like the concept though I feel like it could become a nuisance for players who lag and accidentally drive on the pavement. Suddenly halting or getting your car despawned because you went 3 blocks off the road in a lag spike can be irritating to say the least, especially in a situation where you’re trying to chase someone or escape someone!

I think best thing to do is just report to staff if it’s obvious abuse and players can get warned or their vehicles taken for it :D

-1 I believe it might be more realistic to reduce the speed of the car or vehicle. Just like in mario kart

I think it should not stop working, but slow down.
Because the SRP vehicles are very difficult to control, most of the time, driving on the sidewalk is accidental, and if it stops on the sidewalk, we have to get off and redeploy the vehicle, which is too troublesome.

I actually like this idea better, I'll modify the original suggestion, thanks ^^

-1 I think they should just make it warnable if they're driving stupidly on purpose, like imagine if someone is drunk driving, realistically they're going to drive bad, I like this idea, but not having free will with the cars makes it not as fun in my opinion, I hope that makes sense

There is a difference between irresponsible driving (drunk driving, u turning, etc.) and reckless driving (driving on pavements). The first is OOCly allowed (but not ICly allowed), whereas the second isnt allowed OOCly or ICly. If people are getting warned over it, why not add something to prevent it altogether? You can still drive over pavements temporarily (youd get a speed nerf) so it wouldnt cause issues with chases. It has the same logic as saying that "people shouldn't be prevented from using doors to other people's apartments. If they do it, just contact staff". Its clearly something that will get you in trouble, even accidentally. As a frequent driver, Id want the server to have a way to prevent me from accidentally driving off too far away

yea its a nice concept but for the laggy players I feel like this would heavily make people not want to use cars/buy them at all

I see your point, but realistically, when people are standing in the road, drivers don't have a choice but to swerve
