Distant Horizons is a mod that pre-generates LODs which are slightly lower quality chunks outside of the regular ones, allowing you to have a render distance of around 256 while only having a chunk render distance of something like 12. Recently they released a beta which allows the LODs to have compatibility with shaders, what better place to test this than in a city?
Took me a little minute to get this one working due to the DH & Shaders compatibility being in heavy early beta. This pack also includes a variety of performance & optimization mods to help get a smoother performance, just thought I'd share it with you guys as the current beta for DH & Iris has a lot of incompatibilities with most performance improving mods.
I'll probably upload this pack to CurseForge & work on it a little bit more if this post gains a good amount of traction!
