What experiences do you have with Detail RP?:

Considering that I had an Officer character, I’d say that I am pretty decent when it comes to DetailRP. I’ve been practising Detail RP lately and I think that I’ve gotten better at it, of course nobody is perfect but I’m willing to practise more and get even better at it. Usually when it comes with interrogations and a lot of questioning which require DetailRP-ing.

What is your motivation to apply for EMS and how will you benefit our current team?:

I have always been interested in EMS, however, I have just now had the opportunity to apply. I just left a separate Government faction, as I am interested in trying a different style of roleplay aside from KPD - something requiring more detail. That is my biggest reason for joining, however, I would also like to join because I am familiar or friends with most of the established EMS workers. We get along well, and we’ve worked together many times in the past 6 months I have been in KPD. Lastly, I would like to join to act as a helping hand for the surgeons, as I have seen how stressful the work can get with patient’s constantly filing into the hospital.

There are several reasons I would benefit the faction, my biggest strength being my ability to work with others and familiarity with the faction system. As mentioned before, I worked within KPD for quite awhile, learning how to take orders, work with certain tools and plugins, and work alongside EMS. I know that I will be an amazing team player, and with already knowing other members, I will be able to properly work alongside them. Other than my familiarity, I would also benefit the faction as I am a very active member, so I will be able to come online at least once a day for a few hours at a time. And, with an already established character, I will be able to provide some unique roleplay experiences, as well as another interesting personality within the faction.

Which medical role are you applying for? (e.g: Surgeon, Doctor, Psychiatrist):

I’m applying to become a Surgeon.

Specify your knowledge for the role you’re applying for.

Surgeons treat injuries, diseases, and deformities through operations. Using a variety of instruments, a surgeon corrects physical deformities, repairs bone and tissue after injuries, or performs preventive or elective surgeries on patients. Surgeons are medical practitioners that specialise in evaluating and treating conditions that may require surgery. Those in this branch go through extensive training, as they treat mostly major injuries and are put under enormous pressure.

Categorize all the functions of the EMS and tell us what each of them does:

Trainees: New hospital workers fall into the trainee category, whether they are training to be a psychiatrist, doctor, or surgeon. As the title suggests, they are in training and not yet certified. These members of the hospital will be trained by surgeons, attendings, and higher staff until they are familiar with the hospital's protocols, regulations, etc. They will then be ranked up or demoted according to their performance.

Surgeons: As stated above, surgeons are medical practitioners that specialise in surgery. After training is completed, the trainee will become a certified surgeon, though they will still practice under and take orders from attendings, head of departments, and clinical leads. This would be considered the entree level for a surgeon, with room to grow and climb the ranks. These kinds of surgeons are on the same level as psychiatrists and doctors, and would be considered interns/residents at this level.

Psychiatrists: Psychiatrists are medical professionals who study, diagnose, and treat mental health disorders. Within the hospital, they are not qualified to treat injuries or perform any major medical procedures like a doctor or surgeon. At the very beginning of a psychiatrist career, just like surgeons at this level, they practice under and take orders from higher up attendings, clinical leads, etc.

Doctors: Doctors are medical professionals that assess your health, treat minor and some major injuries (They do not perform surgery), prescribe medications, and possibly refer patients to consult a psychiatrist. Doctors at this level, like the two listed above, follow under attendings and other higher ups.

Attendings: Attendings are surgeons that have completed their residency training, and are eligible to practice independently in their particular field. Attendings manage, train, and observe any interns or residents that are under their jurisdiction.

Head of departments: Department heads are appointed by the medical lead to administrate a certain field (Surgeons, psychiatrist, doctors). The function of the department head is to maintain, coordinate, observe, and record whichever field they are in charge of. They serve as lower level administration, reporting back to the clinical leads and hospital director on their specific department’s work. They also manage the attendings in their field.

Clinical leads: Clinical leads are a step above the head of departments, though they serve a similar function. While the head of a department will manage things before a clinical lead does, clinical leads can step in at any time and coordinate the specific department. They oversee whichever department they are leading and report back to the medical director if anything is amiss.

Director: The medical director is the highest in the hospital hierarchy. The director creates the hospital's regulations and protocols, oversees the clinical leads and head of departments, and is responsible for the overall regulation of the hospital's medical care. This position is the top of the chain, and thus they are responsible for how the hospital operates.

Do you acknowledge that you're subject to being demoted if accepted at any given time?

Yes, I do acknowledge this.

Do you acknowledge that applying for this role, you are agreeing to be 100% dedicated to the Hospital Staff role?

Yes, I do acknowledge this.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are authorized to attend or you will be punished?

Yes, I do acknowledge this.

Do you acknowledge that you are NOT to take things OOCly when dealing with training & situations?
Yes, I do acknowledge this.

BACKSTORY
(Make sure this biography/lore has 100+ words.)

Sakura Ōmori (previously known as Sakura Kaneko) was born in Karakura, Japan, as an only child in the Kaneko family. She lived a very peaceful life with her parents, Sakura was a very happy child. She was always friendly and often played with other kids who were around her age, due to her enthusiastic personality, she was accepted into friend groups easily. When Sakura turned 11, her parents were unfortunately brutally murdered by a gang. Sakura was left all alone, most of her friends moved away, however she continued her education in Karakura before going to Korea a few times to visit some relatives. Most of her relatives were working in the Hospital so she’d go and visit them, her aunt Chihiro was a nurse in Seoul so she’d give Sakura some medical lessons and showed her some basics on how to wrap bandages, disinfect wounds and some simple stuff. Sakura also went on an internship program in Seoul Hospital. Of course, she eventually had to go back to her hometown in Japan, this wasn’t enough to keep Sakura happy, she was alone, it was hard to deal with things without having her parents’ support. When Sakura turned 16, she got adopted by the Ōmori family. This was a good opportunity for Sakura to get a better life, however, the family was mostly filled with sisters who seemed to be more successful than her, this encouraged Sakura to try to get better and have a sort of a competition with her sisters. This led to Sakura trying out for a few sport teams and finally after many attempts she got in the Football team. She stayed in the football team for a while but she slowly realised that it wasn’t exactly her calling, so she left it. After some time, she decided to try and get a job. Sakura worked for a few months in Larenco along with her family, however the owner of Larenco has been changed and most of her sisters left Larenco including Sakura. Sakura was very self conscious and always criticised herself while growing up. She was still a shadow compared to her sisters who seemed to be more successful than her, this made Sakura close herself up from the world and made her start studying Medicine as an escape, hoping that she’ll be successful one day, she buried herself in books but luckily she was back on her feet as her friends and her boyfriend were there for her, supporting her on the way. Times were rough for Sakura but she worked hard in order to get past them.
