BACKSTORY
Meiko was born in San Salvador. The capital of El Salvador. She lived there until she was 6 years old than moved to Japan with her father to live with her mother and two sisters. She lived there for 5 years then moved back to El Salvador when she was 11 because of her parents divorce. She continued her education there but switched to homeschooling when her father passed away. She moved in with her grandparents after his passing but they struggled financially. For this reason she felt determined to ease their burden. She went behind her family's back and made a deal with a well known gang leader in El Salvador. She agreed to be at his command whenever he needed her, and in return he would pay her the money she needed in order to help them. But on her 15th birthday, she decided she would finally leave. Her grandparents were no longer struggling nor in debt, so she thought it was time. But little did she know once you go in you can never get out. At her attempt of leaving a bounty was put over head, she was no longer safe in El Salvador so she decided to make a run for it back to Japan and move in with her sisters. She has now been in Japan for a few weeks and she's adjusting to normal life there. But she still has the weight of the lies and secrets she has kept from her family looming over her shoulders.
