♫ What experiences do you have with roleplay?: ♫
Throughout my time on the server, I’ve gained a lot of roleplay experience through my main character (Nikita). By playing Nikita, I've been able to participate in a lot of interactions involving the history and lore of Karakura, learning how to adapt to different situations created by other players. I enjoy these scenarios, other than focusing on my own character I believe good RP comes from everyone involved having fun
when I was younger I played some warrior cats and creatures of sonaria on roblox if that counts
♫ What is your motivation for applying? ♫
My motivation for applying is to contribute to the Hospital Faction by creating fun and meaningful roleplay for everyone involved, patients, co-workers, and other players involved. After spending a lot of time developing my current character (Nikita) I wanted to create a new character that can explore a different style of roleplay, more focused and centered around helping others in the community and creating some cool interactions. I'm hoping through Elias I'll be able to provide fun and realistic medical scenarios while improving my RP skills and contributing to the faction
♫ Which role are you applying for? ♫

Their duties range from many things such as the following; minor illness, injuries and responding to emergencies where quick decision making and teamwork can be essential. They can also communicate treatment plans between co-workers and patients to ensure they receive the best care.
Psychiatrists focus on the evaluation and support of a patient’s mental wellbeing. Whether it be through assessments, counseling or long term therapy where needed. They occasionally work alongside doctors when physical and mental wellbeing can overlap.
Paramedics are highly trained professionals, who serve as the first responder to emergency situations, accidents and/or crises that can occur. They specialise in life support and stabilizing a patients condition, later transporting to a hospital for better care

ur local friendly canadian doctor
Elias Preston grew up in a warm and close community where neighbours knew one another by name and treated each other like family. Helping others soon became second nature to him, rarely hesitating to help if the chance came. His parents would encourage him to volunteer in various activities, letting Elias to believe these small acts of kindness through his volunteer work could have a lasting impact upon other peoples lives, who may be struggling.
One summer, while dealing from a persistent and everlasting cold, Elias visited his local emergency care/department for a routine check-up. While he sat quietly in the waiting room a distressed patient began experiencing a severe panic attack, disrupting the entire room. The confusion and panic had filled the entire room, frightening young Elias. As he watched the doctors and nurses work together, to calm down the patient.
Elias had always expected doctors, and nurses alike to just 'fix people', but he never took notice of how they ever spoke to the patient. In this frightened scenario, a small truth came to Elias's mind. The realization that medical care, wasn't just about knowledge, it was staying calm. This unforeseen event, had now planted the first seed in Elias's mind that eventually led to him becoming a doctor
As Elias entered his teenage years, the memory of that day in the hospital still stuck to him. Naturally, he found himself drawn towards biology and human anatomy, spending a lot of his free time reading about how the body's system responded to illnesses, and physical injuries. Along his studies, Elias continued volunteering within his local community, developing the essential skills to remain patient and composed, while keeping communication and empathy at a high when assisting people who've dealt with different paths of life. Overtime, one visit to the hospital and some curiosity, had now peaked Elias into developing an ambition to pursue a career in medicine.
Elias would later begin his journey into higher education, where he decided to pursue medicine with the goal of putting his curiosity in a way of helping others around hm. His previous years of studying were a challenge to him, in many ways he had never experienced before. Requiring himself to be dedicated, discipline and remain focused under pressure. When learning about the human body, and different medical procedures Elias had discord that every patient, ultimately carried their own story. Making their treatment more than the simply understanding, rather than the patience, communication and the ability to reassure people in some of the their most vulnerable, and weakest moments.
After Elias completed his studies, he entered a supervised residency program within Canada, near his town. During this time-period, Elias had gained experience assisting senior physicians, observing procedures and learning how to approach different situations. Although, Elias's education had prepared him technically, the residency taught Elias the importance of adaptability and teamwork.
Throughout Elias's residency, he continued to develop his understanding of emergency medicine, the field he had picked. Learning that every situation, ultimately required a different approach, and that even the smallest decisions can have a serious impact on a patient's recovery. While his knowledge in medicine was essential, Elias found more that the communication and trust were equally an important part. A patient who could feel understood was more often willing to cooperate with treatment, and a team that could trust one another could perform more effectively under difficult scenarios.
As time passed, Elias could only become more confident in his own abilities, still maintain the mind that had guided him here from the begging. Here, he had now completely understood that medicine was a field, where learning could never truly end. Every patient, colleague and experience could teach him something completely new. Instead of seeking out recognition from his superiors, Elias focused on becoming someone others could rely on in difficult times.
However, Elias's dedication to medicine can sometimes become a weakness. Elias always likes to think of the things he could have done differently in some situations. For Elias it is very difficult to keep his professional duties and his private life separate when he is off-hours in the hospital. He ends up feeling frustrated because he does not always have control of the situation in such a way that will ensure the safety of the patient. This is because he thinks too much about his patients and situations that took place before.
Elias eventually decided to move to the city of Karakura in order to pursue his career as a doctor in the best way possible. He thought that it was the city where he would be able to put all of his experience into practice. Although it is clear that there might be a number of challenges when you have to start to work in new conditions, Elias thought that moving to the city of Karakura would be a challenge but at the same time a great opportunity.

♫ What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus? ♫
Elias specialises in emergency medicine. He chose this field because of his interest in working within unpredictable situations where essential skills are best used. He believes that during medical emergencies, a doctor's responsibility isn't to just treat injuries, but to help and reassurance and stability to patients during their moments of fear and panic.
♫ Does your character have any work experience in medical positions? ♫
Before he went to Karakura Town, Elias had been a supervised resident of Emergency Care in a hospital in Canada. Working alongside many experienced doctors during emergencies taught Elias how to remain calm under pressure.

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
♫ Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others? ♫
Elias Preston carried himself with quiet confidence, rather than seeking out authority. There is no need for Elias to show that he wants to take control of any conversation, or to unnecessarily draw attention on himself. He usually likes to watch and understand people before speaking up. Often giving him a thoughtful, and approachable demeanor. As patients and colleagues notice that Elias often takes time to listen, rather than to immediately respond.
In regards to how Elias communicates with the patients, he thinks that giving assurance in the procedures is as significant as the procedure itself. He makes sure not to bombard people with complicated terminologies but explains to them the process of the procedures step by step.
During emergencies, Elias's personality becomes more focused. During medical emergencies, it may cause others to become overheated and overwhelmed, Elias relies on his training to remain steady, and patient. He carefully assesses situations before acting, communicating clearly with those around him. His composed nature can often help reassure both patients, and his colleagues during difficult moments.
Nonetheless, Elias's commitment to the field of medicine is as a result of his personal issues. Whereas Elias looks tough on the surface, he finds himself unable to let go of his difficult cases when he comes off duty. Elias often indulges in introspection, trying to find out if he could have done better or if his method was right. This gives Elias constant introspection but makes it difficult for him to be able to relax.
Elias has a little habit of remembering the smallest details about his patients, whether its their concerns, personal worries, inquiries or just small things like their favorite color. He believes these small details help remind patients their more then a medical record.
Physically, Elias presents a professional appearance. Elias's hair is kept black and neat. His choice of clothing indicates that of a responsible person since he presents himself professionally, through self-expression. At 5'10 and average build, Elias blends easily within a crowd.
♫ How does your character act around the hospital? ♫
Around the hospital, Elias maintains his calm and approachable demeanor. He doesn't just view his role as treating patients, but creating an environment where people can feel safe and understood in moments they feel fear, or uncertainty. Believing every patient deserves to be treated as an actual person, other than an individual that's just another case. Taking his time to listen to their concerns, and understanding their situation before deciding the best possible choice.
In his interaction with other people in the same workplace, Elias appreciates the teamwork that is among these people. Elias knows well that a hospital needs the cooperation of all the members in the team, whether it is the doctors, the nurses, and the paramedics or anyone else in the hospital. He is respectful towards all these people and always takes every criticism or suggestions in a positive manner.
During these quiet moments at the hospital, Elias makes use of these periods for his study of medicine. From studying published papers of the medicines, learning from others and past case studies, Elias firmly believes that his skill and knowledge can only be improved by constant efforts on his part. But sometimes this dedication makes him get involved so much in his work that he finds it difficult to disconnect from it.
Elias is even more focused and straightforward when there is an emergency situation at the hospital. Instead of being consume by pressure when making these decisions, Elias relies on his colleagues, and the training he's put himself through to remain composed when making these quick decisions. Despite knowing the fact that everything can just end up going the wrong way, he aims to make sure every patient receives the care and attention they deserve.
Unlike in the case where Elias is working in the hospital and is serious in his approach, Elias is much more relaxed outside the hospital environment. Elias is a person who is very dedicated to his job; however, at the same time, Elias feels that the hospital should not be a scary place for patients as well as staff. Elias establishes rapport quickly and is very firm about being nice to people.
♫ Does your character function better on their own or with others? ♫
Elias performs best in part of a team. While he’s perfectly capable of working independently when needed, he believes emergency care/medicine relies on the trust and communication built with cooperation. Openly welcoming constructive criticism from both colleagues and patients, taking an understanding that every member plays an important role in achieving the best possible outcome.
