Moggie_Moe's BMD Application {} "My best enemy is you,"

Moggie_Moe

Level 0
OOC INFORMATION:

IGN:

Moggie_Moe

Describe your activity on the server:

On Mondays, I’m typically not on until later in the afternoon because I shadow at a dental office that day. Tuesdays and Thursdays I’ll be on in the mornings for a couple of hours before my night classes. Wednesdays, I’m typically on all day unless I have irl things I must attend to. Friday-Sunday, I work part time in the mornings, and usually get on around one to two o’clock in the afternoons. Occasionally I will have Sundays off and be online those days.

Specify your Discord username (USER#0000) and if you have a microphone:

moggie_moe {} I have a microphone.

Specify your country of origin and time zone:

I live in America in CST timezone. I’m typically on around eight o’clock in the morning or two o’clock in the afternoon. This can vary depending on holidays and my college schedule, but it's not very often.

What are your motivations in applying for the black market dealer role?:

I personally love how challenging criminal underground roles can be. You have to make quick decisions on dire situations that could result in a life or death possibility. Even the most minimal things can have the biggest consequences - as stated by the idea of the Butterfly Effect.

I enjoy the constant high of developing calculated and cold characters who can charm someone into their utter downfall. It's difficult to be this one person in public with good ideals and a high standard, but in the depths of their heart, is cold and meticulous. You must stay resourceful and quick on your feet. One slip up can bring more chaos that you originally intended.

It’s also appealing interacting with different types of characters and personalities in the server while also keeping intact with your own oc. You have to learn to navigate through every single individual you meet all the while maintaining yourself in the process. Trusting the wrong person could ruin everything you saved to build up.

I’d also like to brag on the server for this last bit. I’m amazed at how well everything has been formatted and placed for everybody to be able to enjoy themselves. I’ve never seen a Minecraft server be built and maintained this well over a couple of years. I came from FiveM and RedM rps - which are typically a lot more complex than what I see on Minecraft. This stands up to the standards of both of them, and yet this server is on a blocky game I’ve been playing since I was eight! I’d love to see how this continues to grow and actively be a part of it with the black market dealer role.

What helps you to stand out from other applicants & what can you uniquely provide to the team?:

As stated above, I come from FiveM and RedM rps. If you don’t know what that is, FiveM is modded GTA servers, and RedM is modded Red Dead Redemption 2 servers. Both of them are entirely based around gang related situations and ideas - one of them just happens to be in western times. I like to say I have more of an understanding of how roleplay works within the server with gang related content because of my time on them.

I’ve also been roleplaying for a long time. I have 8+ years of experience with text-based rp (my main genres being horror and psychological) and 3+ years of experience on game-based rps with RedM and FiveM. The only major difference is actively typing out responses in real time ingame.

I can adapt to situations and quickly respond within a reasonable time frame. Though my oc may be a bit different than the usually calculated ones y’all get, I’m a very keen thinker and can spot things quickly. I bring a long-term commitment with me. I’ve been hyperfixating on this server a ton, and I’d love to keep going while getting into the darker side of things in roleplaying. I’m very reliable and always here to provide support when I’m called upon. I love to make new suggestions and bring different kinds of ideas to the table on things that can be improved.

What previous experience do you have in working with a team?:

On a FiveM server called Lucid City, I helped manage a coffee restaurant while selling illegal content underground for gang members. I typically produced the items and sent them out for other people to distribute. However, there were times I had to step in because someone messed up and got arrested.

On a separate server, I was the leader in control of the production faction in a large gang run by a good buddy of mine. I made sure workers were hired, paid, and performed their tasks like they should be. Sometimes - in rp of course - there were a few people that had to be.. ‘taken care of’ if things weren’t going like they should be.

So, what I’m trying to say is that I have experience working with tons of other people to get a specific job done. I’ve been told before that if something isn’t being done right and no one is batting an eye to it, I’ve spoken up about it so it can be corrected. I know this is a gang rp server, but I do not stand for tyrants and misuse of power.

What suggestions do you have to help better the crime faction?:

I’d like to see a better combat, health, and rolling system. I think the rolling system is a bit too dependent on pure luck and not actual skills based on your character’s attributes. I’ve seen times where a fight should’ve been won by a particular individual based on stats alone, but they lost because of a flimsy role.

I also think the server should incorporate a crime attribute. In FiveM, you unlock more things you could do as you continue to do crime. However, starting out, you had to do more petty things like making gold bars, graffiti, or selling someone’s items for them so they don’t get caught. These things had to be found out purely in rp. I think it's also a great way to add another money earning system into the game, but with consequences. These things shouldn’t be taken lightly. Players will really have to think if it's worth the risk just for a bit of money. I’d love to go in more depth with y’all about it!

Are you familiar with all rules pertaining to weapon profiles, combat, permissions, and player conduct on the server?:

Yes! I have a dual monitor and keep the rules posted on one of them while I play so I can always check.

Are you familiar with that if you leave the black market at any point, the black market lead will have permanent kill permissions on your character?:

Yes, I do. I’m actually glad y’all have this implemented. It really makes people think twice before joining.

Are you familiar with that if your character(s) is/are killed or permanently arrested twice, you will be removed from the black market?:

Yes, I believe that is fair
.
Are you familiar with that you cannot reveal any out-of-character plans or potential addition to the black market to others?:

I am. We had a rule like this on the FiveM servers I roleplayed on.

“Appearance? You mean what I be lookin’ like? Well, devilishly handsome, of course! My mama says I look just like my dad. Short, blonde spiky hair, those stupid brown eyes, and some other sappy stuff like that. As for what I’m wearing, it honestly changes a lot. I’ve had people say I dress either homeless or posh.. Whatever that means. Oh! I’m like.. 6’4”? Eh, something like that. I never really paid attention to that kinda stuff.”

Describe your character's personality to the greatest detail:
I’ll have to go OOC for this!

Dojima is a case, in my opinion. He’s loud, ****y, and doesn’t really like people being up in his way. He tends to come across very aggressively to people, which ends up scaring them away when he could possibly be interested in them. He’s snappy, impatient, and hates sitting around in one spot very long. He also doesn’t exactly have a filter. He tends to run with his mouth on anything he decides to care about. His only weakness? Pretty women.

The only time Dojima will shut up is if a pretty girl tells him too. It’s like watching a puppy dog begging for a treat! He will scream and degrade every man he comes across if they piss him off. Ladies? Perfect little gentleman. Sometimes his squirreliness gets the best of him, and he sometimes says something wrong that earns a slap to the face.

However, if a woman is being mean as all hell to him, he has no issue setting them in their respectful place. It isn’t often, but he’s striked a couple of girls in his life for being loud and ugly to him. Sometimes he swears he’ll marry a dude just to not deal with an obnoxious girl.

Describe your character's backstory to the greatest detail: (200+ words minimum)

The Takaaki name used to be known as a respectable and well accomplished family in Japan. They owned several businesses, volunteered often, and overall helped out the community. It wasn’t until Dojima's dad passed away when he was three, did things end up ugly for him and his mom.

Toshi Takaaki - Dojima’s uncle - took over the company after his brother’s passing. A once honest man quickly turned foul at the amount of newly earned money he had in his possessions. It wasn’t long until the company fell into the ruins of the underground - selling hardcore drugs, distributing weaponry, and not to mention the endless amount of pleasure districts they adored.

Dojima’s mother couldn’t deny the desires that came with her freedom as a widow now. She no longer had to be confined as a petite, polite housewife anymore to a man she barely loved. She took anything and everything she could from Toshi after he gained possession of their things, and ran to the states when Dojima was four.

What did she spend that money on? Gambling, drugs, and anything else she could get her hands on. Meanwhile, Dojima got stuck in some county ghetto school that he couldn’t care less for. Everybody there practically picked on him for being some foreigner showing up out of the blue. They had no issues calling him all sorts of things they could come up with.

Dojima eventually just stopped showing up to school. No one noticed.. or cared for that matter. He thought he’d be better off at home. How foolish of him to believe that. His mom ended up marrying some white trash redneck that beat Dojima every chance he got. Didn’t clean his room? Beaten. Laundry? Beaten. Existing? Beaten.

After a few years of this going on, Dojima ended up running away. When he was twelve, he managed to sap some poor lady into letting him travel with her to Japan so he could be reunited with his long lost family. Whatever kind of stupid thing he came up with, she actually believed it.

Now back in Japan and homeless, he walked the streets for a long time. Some smaller gangs would let him jump with them from time to time, but it never lasted long. Dojima always ended up messing something up one way or another.

Finally, when he reached the age of twenty-one, he wandered into some new city he never heard of. A city where all kinds of people came to and lived together. A few loose-ended folk slipped a few tells, and he managed to hear about the black market in the underground looking for a new hire. That didn’t sound half bad to him. Wasn’t anything new he hadn’t already dealt with. With that being said, he got in the library, wrote up an application as best as he could, and left it in a baggie on the doors of the market entrance for someone to discover.

Describe an interaction that your character may have as a black market dealer: (This can be anything — a weapon deal, an event they may be involved in, or maybe an interaction with a gang)

“What the hell did you do!?”

He couldn’t believe it. One of his most prized accomplices he used to get into the prestigious High School actually managed to get himself caught. Amazingly, the other one managed to slip his way out of it, and ran his little tail back to the hideout to report to Dojima. “I-I’m sorry, boss! There was this girl-.. Everything was going fine! And I-!” stammered the little stain that managed to get away.

Dojima’s gaze narrowed at him with a look of disgust and utter disbelief. “I don’t give a shit what was happening. You failed! Both of you!” Rising from where he’d been sitting on some old worn out couch, he approached the terrified kid stuttering at the front door. He reeled a hand back and slapped him before grabbing his face to look at Dojima. He leaned in, breathing hot on the kid’s skin as he looked him over for any sign of fear. Oh, there was plenty of it. A creepy little giggle escaped from Dojima as he let go and bounced back from the kid. “Oh goodness! And I thought I was a little shit stain when I was your age!” he cackled, twirling like a complete idiot until he made his way over to fall back on the couch. “Utterly useless! Useless! Useless! USELESS!!”

The poor kid couldn’t even think of what to do about how wild Dojima was acting. He could only stand there and watch as his boss twirled his way back to him, and got down on his level. With a twisted smile, Dojima took a finger and slowly twirled a strand of hair from the kid’s scalp. He hummed happily playing along with it - as content as a child would be with a toy. Eventually, Dojima leaned into the kid’s ear and whispered. “You’re gonna find the money you need to bail that little shit out of jail, alright? When you do, you’re gonna bring his rat ass back to me,” he snickered before slowly standing straight up. His giddy, flowery nature soon fell into a look of dead seriousness - the kinda look that would make you physically suffocate from holding your breath too long. “You’re not going to fail. You wanna redeem your sorry ass? Bring a bat with you when you bring him to me. You’ll earn my respect back with it, got it?”

The terrified teenager desperately looked for any type of sympathy from Dojima, but he couldn’t find a damn thing if he tried. What kind of crazy was this dude? It wasn’t one he couldn’t really find. “O-Ok,” the kid stammered. It was really all he could do at that moment. That, and hightailing it out of there the minute Dojima dismissed him with a wave of his hand. He was acutely aware of his boss’s protocols too. He had three days to do this.. or he was gonna lose another finger.

Describe any other additional information that is notable in considering your character for the role of a black market dealer: (If inapplicable, put N/A)

Dojima typically feels like everyone around him has either abandoned him or betrayed him. He has a hard time talking to people because of this. It didn’t really help that his mom wasn’t a good figure in his life, and he tends to take that out on women he comes across occasionally. Deep down, he’s actually a very sweet guy who just had a rough time growing up
