Welcome to the Shrine. In this faction, you'll involve yourself with Japanese traditional values and help foster the culture of Shintoism within Karakura by interacting with the community and playing an important role by inspiring its simple and modest practices.
You will assist in bringing people of the town forward and together by hosting events, encouraging harmony and maintaining the customs of the religion bringing it forward to a new generation of individuals.
As a shrine staff you will learn civil services by aiding the community; this will be specialities as straightforward as offering tea and a conversation, to facilitating our giftshop, providing tarot readings, to the more complex tasks such as hosting wedding. Priests will uptake the responsibilities of holding shinto practices and prayers and Maidens will have the honour of performing Kagura, a dance to entertain our kami, and assisting our priests in practices and prayer.
Shrine staff can complete a maximum of 10 tasks per month and earn up to 100,000 yen.

Do I need to know anything about Shintoism before I apply?
Nope! You can apply with 0 knowledge in shintoism as you will be trained on the basics.
How old does my character have to be?
21-80
Can my character have dyed hair and/or tattoos?
Whilst real monasteries do not typically allow dyed hair as it is a taboo in Japanese culture, the Shinsei Seinaru Monastery allows you to do this
Can I gang roleplay on my shrine profile?
No, you can on other alternative slots though.
When do applications get reviewed?
Applications are always opened but a review date will be posted in the Karakura Town discord when we are looking for members.
What are character values?
This is the beliefs and principles that your character decisions, behaviors, and sense of right/wrong are shaped. It about what they wish to achieve, these are the foundation of moral and ethical principals. Some examples can be honesty, faith, honor, leadership, their standards, etc. Though this question is optional, it is highly recommend to answer it as it can help think about your character in another perspective.
