Describe your activity on the server:
I've typically played the server quite frequently within the last year of getting back into the server. I typically play around 5-7 hours nowadays when I can because I enjoy the server quite a lot. As of recently I've gotten a job and it's been a bit harder for me to get on the server due to time constraints or being distracted with other IRL things. But, recently I've gotten back more into the server and feel more motivated to want to play the server when I can after work. Before taking a very extended break from the server, I used to play SRP back in 2018 and 2019 but stopped due to school and real life occurrences kept popping up and it refrained me from being able to get onto the server when I wanted to. However, back in early 2025, I came back and have been learning a lot more about the lore within the server itself that I missed out while I was away and when I was very inexperienced back then when I first played. I've gotten much better with experience in writing lore for my characters and getting better with DetailRP, but there's always room for improvement and more experience and I'm always up for more learning and to get better at it. I've come to be more expansive with how to RP different scenarios, especially when it comes to this server and have grown accustomed to it while I've also been learning the combat of the server, learning what is and isn't allowed, what has changed in that time span of me being gone. I've gotten involved with the GangRP within the server and have learned a lot from it since then. I do a lot of DetailRP and overall more experienced RP with the people I know in general. Back in October I applied for School Faculty and got accepted as a Caretaker, have been playing frequently on that character ever since being accepted, as well as briefly joined the EMS Faction and had a lot of fun within that faction when I was in it. I've majorly enjoyed the different overall experiences with the scenarios within other factions while playing on the server.

What is your motivation for applying?
For around a month or so I've been really intrigued with trying out applying for the Shrine Faction, it's always seemed the most mysterious-like faction in the server and that also interested me as well. Also with having a recent boost to wanting to try more within the server I've also been motivated with applying for the Shrine Faction because I think it'd be pretty fun getting to know the faction works and how just overall fun it might be as a thing, as well getting to know more people, that's also fun for me to try out when joining a faction. It'll also be another for me to get better with my DetailRP in a different kind of field compared to the others I've been in.
What do you currently know about Shintoism? Are you willing to learn more about it?
I currently do not know a lot of Shintoism, practically 0 amount of it throughout my life. However I am very willing to learn in my free time or if I get accepted into the faction. Shintoism itself has also seemed very cool so being in a faction that learns a lot about it seems like a very helpful way of learning a good amount of it.

She would bring her hand up to the temple of her head very softly, ever so moving a few strands of her hair to the side of her head, closing her eyes as she sits gently within her seat infront of whoever was infront of her "My name is, Taimatsu Higanbana. My mother gave it to me because she said she wanted her child to have a special name.." Taimatsu would then open her eyes, staring infront of her with eyes that had a soft glow of amber within her pupils as she brought her hand down to her lap, smiling ever-so brightly.

Taimatsu would blink a bit before processing the question given to her, she'd then bring her finger up to her cheek, gently tapping her cheek as she thinks before speaking "My title..? Mmmnh.. I never really thought of that- Hmm.. I suppose Maiden Higanbana or Ms. Higanbana, I think those are good enough..!" Taimatsu would then softly chuckle nervously to herself before bringing her hand once more back down to her lap, waiting to hear the next question.

"Ah- My age..? Hmmm.. I never really say it because I never think it's important.. But I'm around.. 26 years old- I think that's still pretty young-" Taimatsu would then brighten up a bit as she speaks once more "Oh! But I am turning 27 in around 4 months or so!" Her face would then go back to her gentle smile as she looked ahead of her.

Taimatsu would take a moment to process the question just given to her and she'd sigh, looking away a bit off into the distance, softly sighing to herself "Unfortunately no marital status.. Just single, that's a bit of an odd question-" Taimatsu would sigh softly one more time before looking back forward infront of her.

Taimatsu would bring her hand to her chin as she thought softly, having her hand to her chin thinking to herself before speaking "Mmmmh.. Mostly Japanese.. Last time I checked, Heheh.."

It would take a moment for Taimatsu to respond but she would speak after thinking for a moment.. "Hmmm.. I only have a bachelors degree in Art.. I never really wanted to go through college again because of family.."
Backstory
Taimatsu grew up within a small town that resided near the magnificent city of Japan, Ise. Having already been born in such a town with such a religious significance within Japan, Taimatsu would be raised from the ground by her mother in almost everything Shinto and Buddhism. Taimatsu's mother would herself have had a slightly difficult hand in life when growing up and after having Taimatsu, she felt as if her child was a special gift given to her that she wanted to name her own daughter, something as special as she was to her. Having then giving her the name of "Taimatsu" which meant 'torch' to her, seeing as Taimatsu this new flame of life that she was allowed to have and raise, she thought it matched quite well with their family name of "Higanbana", meaning 'red spider lily'. Taimatsu thought this was the perfect name to give to a child of her own and would continue to raise her with the most care and passion as she could so she grew up to be just compassionate.
Once Taimatsu hit the age of 12 within her life, her mother would be walk with Taimatsu through a nice autumn filled park before bringing her to a bench and softly sitting down next to her before looking directly at her daughter and giving her her usual warm, nurturing smile before asking a simple but tricky question to Taimatsu. That question being "What would you like to do in life, dear?" Taimatsu would look at her mother after hearing such a question, it was so simple in concept but so tricky for herself to answer with certainty.. Taimatsu would then respond to her mother with a look of passion in her eyes “I want.. To make people happy.. And I really want to help people believe.. Help them find the meaning they’re looking for.”. Once Taimatsu told her mother her goals in life, she would respond with a warm smile and small pat on the head before walking with her back home, having been content and happy with her goals.
Unfortunately for her life would change drastically for her as she would be hit with the sudden news of her father having lost his life in an accident. The news would devastate her mother the most, having grown a bit distant during her time of grieving, even distant to her own daughter that she cherished so much. Such distancing would leave Taimatsu to eventually try and deal with the stress of being distant from her mother by having to apply herself to a small shrine. However, after 3 years of distance between the two, eventually her mother would grow herself out of the feeling of loss and would contact Taimatsu, telling her to meet up and talk to her at the same park. Having sat down with her, she would immediately apologize to Taimatsu, making amends for all the years of no contact with her. Taimatsu would listen to all of her mother’s words, she would gently hug her, not needing to say words to show that she forgives her.
Time had passed before Taimatsu would now be in her adults years, having now reached 25, in that time she has achieved some of her small goals and dreams in life, having worked at the small local shrine within her town, achieving helping some of the people that newly attended the shrine that needed help. After having done the most she thought she could within her town, she would start thinking of traveling abroad around Japan to help others while she travels and figures out where to settle for a while. Eventually, having traveled to the town of Karakura and now decided on staying within the town for an extended amount of time, having caught an interest in the town and the citizens that reside in the town.
Taimatsu would now have reached 26 while still living in Karakura, still getting used to everything that happens in the town. Soon after she would eventually notice an advertisement for the Shinsei Seinaru Monastery on a sign when walking around the town, seeing the ad she would immediately interest her and she would immediately take said paper to start applying herself to the monastery.
CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE / SITUATIONS
How does your character act around shrine grounds? How do they interact with guests and other staff?
She acts quite peaceful and very nice, she gives off a very kind and heartwarming atmosphere when around her. She’d never hurt a soul due to how she was raised. While around guests she’d be very kind and welcoming, always open to any answers that she could give. While around other shrine staff she is exactly the same, that being always kind and always open to talks.
You see a guest jumping around the roofs of the building and overall disrespecting shrine grounds, how would your character handle it?
Taimatsu would immediately specify the irritant guest in coming down from the roof of the shrines and being very disrespectful, she would then bring them over and talk to them about why they shouldn’t do that to the shrine grounds as it’s very rude and generally horrible in-terms of ruining the sacred grounds of the shrine. If the guest were to continue being disrespectful Taimatsu would go let a higher-up of the monastery and tell them of the guest, describe them to the higher-up and insist on them being removed from the premises if not prohibited and refused to enter temporarily.
Why does your character want to become a shrine maiden/priest? What do they wish to achieve?
Taimatsu had once applied herself to a previous shrine when she was younger, but having traveled and deciding to settle down within the town of Karakura she felt it would be a nice idea to apply to the shrine in Karakura because she herself still felt like she wanted to continue her goal of helping others find meaning through faith within the things she believes in. All they want to achieve is continuing to be helpful in their goal throughout life as she continue to grow and learn more of this town and its culture and really help the people.

Taimatsu is a character who is always kind and tries to be helpful as she can be with anybody around her, she is always open to everyone and she is always wanting to give kindness back to the people she thinks deserves it due to her beliefs. It’s really hard for her to be rude to anyone or even be hurtful in any way as she was never raised to be disrespectful to people.

Due to how Taimatsu was raised due to how important her birth was to her mother, she would have immense faith the more she grew up in the city she lived in as a child. She has immense faith in Buddhism, she is always open to give anybody a helping hand into the beliefs that she has, helping them find meaning within faith if possible to help them become better people. Though she tries to not let faith disrupt her core ideals of never being rude unless they so deserve it for the way they act and disrespect the sacred beliefs.
