What is your motivation for applying?:
My motivation for applying is through my love for faction roleplay and the in depth laws and regulations that the server has to offer when it comes to the Government faction. I love how special sitting and observing trials feel, I believe there is nothing truly like it on the server and being able to get the chance to help deliver a unique event like how a trial truly inspires me.
Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:

What are your goals for being in Government Faction?:
I’m always looking to find ways to improve as a role player in general, and with the government faction I believe, not only will I get better but I will improve my writing skills as well. Moving more towards SRP, as someone who puts value in good quality interactions between myself and others on the server, my main goal would be to enhance the roleplay experience for those alike. With the role of a judge, I’d be able to create engaging and meaningful interactions with everyone through in game scenarios. These would be through role-based events such as engaging courtroom scenes/trials, issuing warrants, and moving other players’ storylines to deepen their lore through things such as officiating marriages and approving adoptions papers. There are of course the smaller tasks, like desk work and such, but I wouldn’t want to pass these off as menial interactions. I’d just think that with each time I get to speak to another body on the server, my goal is to turn it into something that carries meaning. That’s ultimately the goal I’d work towards while in the government faction.
In your own words, describe the different roles of the Government Faction:
Mayor
The mayor is the head of government in Karakura, they designate funding to different departments that fall under the government's jurisdiction, lead council meetings, and represent the city in events, ceremonies and causes where their presence is required.
Deputy Mayor
The deputy mayor is the second in command, often acting as a replacement if the mayor is either unfit medically to due their duties or in rare chances will take on a caretaker role if said mayor were to be impeached/removed from office.
Judge
Judges preside over civil and criminal court matters. A judge’s job is to make sure court cases are handled fairly. They listen to the evidence, make sure everyone follows the legal rules, and decide what the law says should happen. Other tasks include filing restraint orders, ordering search/arrest warrants, officiating marriages, approving adoption paperwork and much more.
Lawyers
Lawyers are hired attorneys that are paid to represent you in court, they will meet with their clients, other lawyers and judges to gather information and evidence to build up a case to argue your case/defence in court procedures. If they feel the need to, lawyers may also file restraining orders for their clients if they feel it is necessary.
Governors
The Governors work around the clock to make sure the front office of the government runs smoothly, efficiently and flawlessly. Governors main responsibilities consist of handing out ID cards, officiating weddings, attend and overlook trials, approve adoption papers, survey the public, and perform shop inspections.

Full name:
A 5 foot 11 inch man dressed in a finely pressed suit sat across from the interviewer, his face held a level, composed face with a small smile. Glancing down, he’d adjust the cuff of his sleeve. “My name is Hugo San Sebastián, pleasure to make your acquaintance.” Once finished with his remark, he’d give the interviewer a simple nod.
Preferred title (Mr., Mrs., etc.):
Raising his left leg up, he’d place it atop his right thigh followed by placing both hands atop the folded leg. “My preferred title is Mr. I go by He/Him pronouns too, I’d like to add.”
Current age:
The Basque man would quietly chuckle looking down at his hands that rested on his leg. He would chime in response to the question. “I am 40 years young!”
Date of birth:
Hugo would lift one of his hands and gently slide it inside of his jacket and remove his wallet. He’d remove his ID card from his homeland of Spain, and slid it across the table towards the interviewer. A younger, clean-shaven version of Hugo could be seen. “December 12th, 1985 is my birth date. I believe that makes me a Sagittarius?"
Academic Background:
Taking back his ID card, he’d tuck it neatly back inside of his wallet, then folded it up and placed it once more inside of his jacket. As the introduction questions had ended, he’d lean back in his seat and fold his arms. “Well, I initially started my career in law back when I was 23, I got my law degree from the University of Barcelona where I specialised in constitutional and criminal law. Afterwards, I completed my doctorate in constitutional law, then I took my judicial exams at 27 and have been working as a judge ever since.”
Work experience:
Hugo lifted his right hand to his face and began to itch his chin. “Well, I was employed by the Spanish government to be a judge of the National court which was my main term of employment. Before that I was a provincial court judge and way before that I worked in a McDonald’s on an assembly line.” Hugo let out another chuckle to himself.
Nationality & born location:
Hugo would perk up at the mention of his nationality. Leaning forward slightly, his smile grew. “Ah, yes, yes I am Basque! I come from the city of Bilbao in Spain. Big city, very proud too, we love our football, oh gosh don’t get me started about when I told my parents I was going to Barcelona for college.” Hugo quickly shook his head and hands. “Apologies, next question heh. . . “
Criminal record:
After hearing the question, Hugo gently shook his head. “No, no record. I’m very fortunate to be born and raised by a good, hard-working family who taught me to respect the laws, and those who enforce them.”
What makes you a good candidate for this job?:
Hugo turned his head ever so slightly to the left, pondering to himself for a moment, before leaning forward and placing his hands on the table. “Firstly, I’d like to say I have the experience required to do this job to the highest standard. I’ve resided over thousands of cases in my lifetime and I hope to reside over more here in Karakura. Furthermore, I’d like to say I possess the skills and qualities that are demanded of this job like integrity, impartiality and discipline. A judge is not defined by how difficult a case is, but by whether their judgment remains unchanged in the presence of pressure.”
