What experiences do you have with roleplay?
Since joining in late May of this year, I’ve fallen in love with roleplay once more. Making new friends, creating storylines, rivalries, and romances with others has been an experience I’ve missed dearly. With my time on the server getting bigger, so has my experiences as well, I’ve done plenty of general roleplay across Karakura, with strangers, friends, and other characters that are inside of factions. Last month, I completed the mandatory 50 education credits and had my character Koda Tsukiyama graduate into college.
GangRP was a completely new experience that I delved into in later July, I joined a gang called Gokegumo. A lot of my friends had joined and I was rather skeptical, but decided to leap at it as my character had an ICLY motive to do so, despite me being a bit hesitant. Going to the first training was plainly put, nervewracking, seeing everyone masked up and with weapons was certainly a new experience to me but I persevered the pressure and started to get more and more into it. Eventually, the gang would disband and most of us moved to a new gang called Kagetsu, where my character Anatolii is currently. My love for GangRP grew more and more, as my knowledge grew, in this gang as we did events, did training and fought for turf. Currently, I am a Higher Up in Kagetsu, and cannot wait for what the future holds.
What is your motivation for applying?
My motivation for applying lies a lot with me IRL-wise, while also being head over heels with the opportunity to join the EMS faction and get to experience the unique roleplay it offers. Outside of SRP, I’ve trained and succeeded in becoming a certified First Responder in Ireland which I hold very dearly to me. The medical field is something I find myself obsessed with and I have a deep passion for learning and furthering my knowledge/understanding of anything and everything medical-wise. When it comes to roleplay, I’m always trying to improve my detailRP and I believe that joining EMS will absolutely help me in doing that while also getting to treat and look after the citizens of Karakura.
Which role are you applying for?
Doctor
What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?
(This is to gauge at your current understanding of the faction prior to acceptance)
Paramedic
The first responders/medical technicians, they are the first to arrive on scene to treat patients. Their job is to treat pre-hospital care to the patient(s), gather important information to relay to the hospital and transport the patient to the hospital if needed.
Doctors
A doctor’s role is an amalgamation of important tasks that are used to diagnose what is or isn’t wrong with a patient, they then must treat it whether through the use of tests, prescription drugs or perform surgery. Doctors deal with cuts, stabs, illnesses, check-ups, transplants and more.
Psychiatrists
Where the doctor deals with primarily physical issues, psychiatrists deal with the mental aspect. A psychiatrist’s role is to assess, diagnose and treat mental, emotional and behavioural disorders.
Hospital Director
The Director is at the head of the chain of command, they are responsible for leading staff, overseeing the heads of departments and their duties, and making sure patients are getting the highest level of care they can receive.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?
Yes, I acknowledge this.

Character Backstory (Optional):
Rowan St. Cloud was born in Galway to an Irish mother, Saoirse, and a French father, Louis, growing up in a home that mixed her warmth and kindness with his discipline and structure. His early childhood was spent exploring the Irish countryside and the hidden gems inside it, where he picked up a quiet resilience and a curiosity about how things work, like the human body. When Rowan was 12, his family relocated to Marseilles for his father’s work. The move hit him hard at first, he went from rural Ireland to a city full of quick French speech and sharper expectations. But he adapted, learned the language, and found himself drawn to biology classes. After graduating high school, Rowan pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology, achieving it at the age of 20. He itched for a bigger challenge and a broader world and medicine felt like the right road. He chose Japan partly for its reputation in medical research and partly out of a desire to start somewhere he didn’t already know. In Tokyo, Rowan enrolled in the University of Tokyo’s Faculty of Medicine program. The cultural shock was real, and he struggled to make friends but adapted quickly to the eastern world's structure and rigor of the program. He completed his medical training at 26 and entered a five-year General Surgery residency at Keio University Hospital. Surgery appealed to him because it demanded decisiveness and calm under pressure, traits he’d learned the slow way across three countries and two identities.
SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?
Rowan’s specialty is general surgery, whether it’s treating simple cuts, cleaning a wound or dealing with a harsh burn, he has always been able to handle the pressure and responsibilities that comes with it. If you asked him what’s his favourite part about it, he’d most likely respond back with how he feels seeing a patient leaving after being treated. The sensation he gets after doing a good deed is why he holds his job in such high regard.
Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
In the city of Karakura, he doesn’t have any work experience. Rowan completed his residency at Keio University hospital, focusing on general surgery.
SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?
Rowan stands at 6 feet 1 inch, his build is quite slender for someone his size as he weighs about 75kg. One could describe his hair as a dark, hazel brown, it was shaped in no particular style, just in the way that he preferred. His eyes are a few shades lighter compared to his hair, and his skin has a warm tone to it from growing up in the sunny city of Marseilles. One might assume, from afar, that he is quite distant with others or that he likes to keep to himself.
How does your character act around the hospital?
On a quiet day, Rowan likes to wander around the hospital, checking in on recovering patients, talking with faculty members, and maybe take a sneaky, smoke break when nobody is looking.
Does your character function better on their own or with others?
Rowan keeps it to himself, but when he first arrived in Japan and got accepted into the University of Tokyo, he was seen as an outcast as he struggled to learn Japanese, which left him many-a-night alone. He never took it to heart though, Rowan loves conversing with people and he is often seen as a soft-spoken, intelligent man. He much prefers to be in the company of others.
