What is your motivation to apply for reporter?:
The reporter faction is one faction I don’t know much about as a whole- so I want to learn more about it from the inside. I enjoy writing reports and look forward to trying new writing styles. I have heard good things about the reporter faction being beginner friendly, as well as the fun bonding activities you do as a faction. I want to expand my RP experiences, and find new people to interact with, and hope the reporter faction can provide this.
Do you have any experience with writing? What is your relationship with writing?:
I am studying musical theatre, so I have experience in script writing, and planning. As well as activity reports in parabellum and writing character lore documents. I also have a knowledge of heavy detailrp given my position both on the track team and as a gangrp-er.
Are you aware of - and will follow - the set of rules provided to you?:
yes
Why should we accept you over others?:
Because I’m fun I promise. I can do both serious and goofy rps, erm … I’m British so like.. Yeah. I also love a good yap and I PROMISE I’m not a crashout!

Do you understand you have to stay completely neutral with all reports? (Your report can't have any OOC or IC bias towards a specific group.)
Yes, understood 100%
Do you trust that you will be able to stay active and complete the monthly quota?:
yup!
Summarise what you imagine work as a reporter is:
Well … you have a lot of different personalities for starters so.. I can see it being very HECTIC. But, I’m sure it’s also very fun. The general shena****ns would make for very entertaining days. I’ve also seen the reports on all kinds of things, including.. Fish. Flash events and colours of the days in the broadcasts so, the freedom is a vibe.

How would you describe yourself in under 150 words?:
I love a bit of fun, after all, all work no play is kinda depressing and this town does NOT need more depressed people. I've been called air-headed but I don't see it personally! I apparently give “mom vibes” whatever that means, which is weird cause I'm lonelier than the final pringle in a tube and definitely childless … Unless I was cloned and don't know about it.. I like to think I'm pretty chill though so.

What are you interested in writing about? How will you achieve this, and would you consider going out of your comfort zone?:
Honestly, I'll write about whatever. The weather, fun facts, upcoming events and holidays. Anything that can be written about pretty much. I love going out and talking to people so I'd start there, find out what people are interested in and such. And of course I'll go out of my comfort zone, I'd be a pretty bad reporter if I didn't give the people what they want.
What are your expectations for the job?:
Good time and chill vibes. Like, writing is meant to be relaxing ya know? No point getting stressed out about it, just have some fun with it.
Do you have a criminal record? If so, list the crimes below:
nope- unless you count be hopeless at romance a crime..
Fluent Languages (Underline your native):
Unfortunately I only speak Japanese, I was born and raised in karakura and then moved to Tokyo for college, before moving back here to start a life of my own.
PROMPTS:
You will have to write two reports about a topic of your choice. Here we can see how pronounced your writing is and how creative you are. Use your own formatting and your own report idea. (If you're found plagiarizing an actual report or another applicant, you will be denied.)

#1 - General report. Report about a topic, informing players about an event or significant issues to Karakura.

#2 - Interview. It's important to have well-rounded questions. Create your own interview with ten questions or more. And answer them yourself.
The sound of a recording being started. There was distant chattering in the background as students floated between classes and drifted down the corridor. “Mr Watanabe, I'm Miss Kurose, thank you for agreeing to speak with me.”
“Of course, it's a pleasure to meet you - I look forward to the questions you may impose Miss Kurose.”
A quiet hum, followed by the sound of a pen being clicked to life. “So, Professor Watanabe, can I ask just to get the ball rolling, what subject do you teach?”
“I teach a literary subject known as creative writing.”
“I see! I studied that myself for my masters in Tokyo, a very interesting subject indeed” The quiet sound of a lunch bell tolled in the background. “Mr Watanabe, Samuil- May I call you Samuil? What is your favourite part of your job?”
“Mr Watanabe preferably.” - “My favourite part of the job would be the quiet hours of grading homework and planning more lessons” A brief pause, a short silence. “It's the more relaxing part of the job after all.”
A hum of acknowledgement as the sounds of writing faded into the background. “I see. Understandable, children- even the ones who are supposed to be mature, can be most draining at times.” A brief pause as the writing ceased. “And.. What are your favourite parts about the other faculty? For example, maybe any events you all host? Any bonding activities? What makes it fun?”
A hum from the other side this time. “I would not say my students are the ones that are draining.” A long pause, it seems the question had taken the Professor by surprise. “Out of the rare few I've interacted with, I'd say my faculty members are good company to be around, whether it be during events or when we're doing our jobs.”
Silence filled the space for a moment, the sounds of Children outside in the courtyard filled the space before the reporter spoke again. “I'm going to ask you to be entirely transparent with this next question.. don't worry it shouldn't get you fired!” - “If you could change one thing about your job, what would it be and why?”
Another pause. “I wouldn't change anything at all.” A rather.. short answer, but I suppose that's to be expected if the Professor truly did enjoy his job.
“Nothing at all? Alright then…” - “this may seem controversial to some, so I do hope this doesn't cause any problems… However, There have been reports of favouritism between some staff and students, would you care to comment on that?”
“Don't tell me it was-” the Professor cut himself off mid sentence, composing Himself before continuing to answer the fledgling reporters questions “Any favouritism is frowned upon, everyone should be treated the same in the learning environment. If these reports are true, then I am simply disappointed in my fellow coworkers and they should do better.”
“Alright, let's See here..” Quiet counting could be heard, 1 through to 5 as the reporter kept track of the questions she had already asked. “What are your thoughts on staff to staff relationships in the workplace? Do you think they should be allowed? Should they be kept strictly professional?”
The sound of a man shifting in the chair. “If they were to be disallowed, then either I or my wife would be out of a job and need to find another.” - “I believe every ‘relationship’ in the workplace should remain professional, even marital relationships.”
The reporter's tone remained light though professional. “I see, we wouldn't want that would we!” That day's ‘song of The day’ could be heard humming quietly as more notes were written down. “right, back to business I suppose..” Their tone shifted.. it still held a slight lightness to it, but it was more serious, clearly the reporter had locked in. “Mr Watanabe, I'm curious. What inspired you to take up teaching? What led you to academia? What keeps you motivated?”
“In my youth I wrote often. It helped me to express myself, given I have quite the … cold exterior, if I may.” The sound of a throat being cleared from the male's side, perhaps he had gotten sidetracked with his own thoughts. “That hobby of writing eventually blossomed into what it is today: I now teach at the college as a literary professor.” - “getting off of work is what keeps me motivated. The weekends, time off, vacations.” A blunt, yet honest and realistic answer.
Writing ceased as a page was turned. “Understandable. Long days. Long weeks. I suppose time with family would be relaxing.” - “Professor, what would you say one of your favourite classes are? And why? Which one seems to resonate with both yourself and your student?” A pause as the reporter prepared herself to start writing his answers again.
The quiet sound of a foot tapping against the wooden floor of the classroom. “Any class activity that involves actual writing, such as my poetry or short story lessons. My reasoning is simply because they're easier to teach, and the students themselves Seem to prefer them over my other lessons.”
The sounds of writing ceased once again. “Alright, we are nearly done, don't worry I'll let you get back to your classes soon enough..” As if on cue, the PA systems for both college and high-school began announcing classes, as the words merged and blurred together in the background. “What would you say is one of the more rewarding parts of your job, Mr Watanabe?”
Silence filled the space, a silence made deafening by the sudden absence of the class announcements. “seeing the success of my students, how far along they've come in their studies. A good indicator of that is watching their grades improve.”
“Alright Mr Watanabe, just before I ask this final question, I wanted to thank you for giving me a good chunk of your time, I know you're very busy..” - “what advice would you give to anyone who wants to follow this pathway as a career choice? Whether it be through teaching or a different pathway, any advice?”
“It wasn't a problem at all, Miss Kurose.” - “I'd advise Them to look at the pros and cons of this career Choice and if they'd prefer this career then to pursue it to the best of their abilities.” A pause as the Professor reminisced his own journey. “whatever path you choose is a good one; if you want experience before becoming a professor, then simply go the teacher Route and expand from there.”
The bell tolled to signal the start of the period, and the recording was turned off with a CLICK!
