Backstory:
Naku was born 18 days early and was born partially undeveloped. Her right eye had yet to develop fully and had to be removed when she was only 4 years old. She was also born with dwarfism and believed herself to be the shortest person in the world. Because of her eye bandage and shortness, she was constantly picked on in school. In 7th grade she had her eye bandage ripped off by a gang of bullies that caught her alone on her way home from school, which revealed the empty hole behind it. The bullies ran away in terror, dropping the eye bandage. Naku was lucky enough to catch her eye bandage and was able to sloppily plaster it back onto her empty eye socket. From then on she avoided everyone and became somewhat of a master at stealth. She became very lonely at home and at school, but she pretended it didn't bother her. One day while walking home from school she heard a helpless squeaking noise coming from a nearby bush. Out of curiosity she investigated the bush and found a small mouse that seemed to be lost. She named it Faji and decided to take it home with her. The mouse was surprisingly tame, which made her wonder if Faji had been a lost pet. From now on she was no longer alone, and even though animals weren't allowed in a majority of places she went (ex. school) she still carried Faji everywhere with her. When she entered High school for the first time, she was very scared, but less scared than she would have been now that she had Faji at her side. She got harassed nonstop in High school and became extremely paranoid of everyone, so when a white-haired boy approached her and asked if she needed help after she tripped on the stairs and fell, she was taken by surprise at his nice attitude. She accepted his help and asked why he was being so nice, to which the boy replied: "I get bullied too, we'll be better off together, don't you agree?" Naku agreed and asked why he got bullied. Certainly it wasn't because he was ugly, and he seemed to be a nice person. He explained that he was gay, which surprised Naku a little, but didn't scare her off. It instead made her question humanity. How dare they bully someone just because he was gay! From then on, the two stuck together, forming a strong bond that led into the present. Andre, which was the boy's name, became her best friend that could never be replaced. As they grew up, Naku became more and more reliant on Andre for help, and in an uncomfortable situation would often cower behind Andre if he was there. One day Andre introduced Naku to his other friends, and at first Naku was shy and scared, but eventually warmed up to them, making lots of new friends to hide behind in overwhelming situations. With this new confidence, Naku might start crawling slowly out of her shell and into the world as an independent young woman.
