I am currently quite active on the server. I'd give my activity a solid rating or 6 or 7 out of 10. See what i did there? I apologise. Anyway, I plan to be a lot more active on the server as despite being new I am really enjoying with interacting with the SRP community. I have been speaking to a few experienced players which is how I actually ended up here applying! Of course my activity may be limited on some days too.

Shop Information
My own little bit:
What ACTUALLY makes your shop different to rest on SRP?
Well, for a start. Name one other SRP shop who has incorporated an investment system for their business, and a charitable aspect of it! Owning a shop is not all about making as much profit as possible but rather having an impact on those who will actually benefit from the shop being around. Yes, I will be selling all the favourite products that your and your next door neighbour might want. But look at the impact it will have on Karakura. Generous donations going toward other town factions to help improve their workforce supplies, events for the city to attend to.. Who knows, there might even be an annual Karakura music festival where upcoming artists from Karakura can have their chance to perform on a stage! All funded because of one shop doing the deed that most money hungry people aren't willing to do. And that's to GIVE.
Yes, the main front of this is entirely going to be a shop. But underneath is where change and magic will take place, people of Karakura will have a chance to see where their well-spent money actually goes. They'll have an opportunity to invest, feel good and also benefit from all of this!
My shop is entirely different in the aspect of what goes on underneath, it may just look like your generic old shop that sells the old bits and bobs but realistically it will hopefully be working wonders.
Okay, So how will your shop look? Where will your meeting rooms be, where will information boards be? Etc.
These will all be showcased in a custom build I plan to create. If this application is under consideration, I would like the dimensions of my allocated shop space messaged to me so I can go into a creative world with the SRP resource pack and created my very own shop exactly how I imagine it to look. It not only saves your builders time but also gives me time to tweak any bits and bobs that I don't like about the build I create. If I'm able to have these block dimensions before hand then a model can be created much before and edited into this application! Rather than using reference images, I'd rather be able to create EXACTLY what I want and then either show it to your builders or quite literally copy and paste it from my own world. Then its a one and done thing with little tweaks to be added. There might be the occasional interior change if there are seasonal events coming up or notice boards that might need to be changed but that should be about it.
For now, here are some reference photos of what I would like the shop to look like.
If applicable, the shop with have an upstairs and basement so products can have space to be showcased on walls/shelves. The same sort of style shown in the images is what I would ideally want the interior and exterior to look like.
What shop are you applying for?:
Kiku Dokyo. However I am wanting to re-brand the shop and change the name to Nobelle
Why do you want to become a Shopkeeper?:
I am wanting to become a shopkeeper because I enjoy being responsible for things and I have some unique ideas of what sort of shop I would like Nobelle to turn into! I also want to become a shopkeeper as I'll be able to interact with a lot more people and get myself into all sorts of scenarios whilst also helping others that I interact with. My entire main reason for wanting to become a shopkeeper entirely relies on being responsible for a shop, paying any taxes and managing my characters expenses and also hopefully being able to see my ideas help others enjoy playing.
What do you plan to do with your shop, and what makes it unique?:
My plan:
So Nobelle will originate from Ireland and have some heritage incorporated into its design and architecture if possible. I want my shop to be somewhere that players can still go to when I as the shopkeeper is not online due to timezones for example and i've seen its most popular during the evening for me, leaning toward the player base mainly being American which I suspected? The idea behind this is that so when I am not able to be online due to time zones, I will have employees who can see to said customers and serve them accordingly! A simple click & collect system essentially. Now to attend to this idea I will have the following staffing hierarchy:
Shopkeeper [1/1]
General Manager [1/1]
Site Manager [1/1]
Shopkeeper: The big dawg. Essentially I will be managing my general manager and site manager. They will report to me about any mishaps in the business, any worthy ideas from the below roles and pay all earnings to the financials role. The financials role will keep said funds until both of us are online. At the end of the week, the financials person will give me a breakdown of how much the business has made in the week, an average per opening, and a list of how much is owed in Tax, Employees and Restock costs.
There will be an in depth description of what each role will do in the discord server once it has been created, along with it being in the applications.
General Manager: This role will essentially manage all Managers and take reports from them. The general manager will be expected to review any applications and assist in running the business. This role will be welcome to open the shop or act as the Shopkeeper. If the person is unable to send out adverts in SRP chat, then a channel will be designated in the discord for all active customers to be notified. The general manager will also be able to create a separate advert where they will be able to advertise the shops' contact number (Could be in game or via the discord where a designated channel will be created! This channel will only be able to be used when an advert is sent out and customers will have their texting privileges removed once a closing advert is sent out) and be able to have any orders texted in! The GM will then create said stock order or notify any THREE cashiers depending on how much attention the advert gets. This will then offer more shift opportunities to employees.
Site Manager: Now this role is essentially who will put forward any changes to the shops look. Seasonal event upcoming? Changes are to be made and this will be the man/woman to do it! They will manage how the site is ran. Exactly what it says on the tin! They will consider any costs of using external builders to change the look of the shop or if lucky enough, use someone in house and offer a bonus check for the extra work load on said employee. They will also act as GM in the instance that an employee may want to complain about a Manager or Supervisors behaviour or notify them of any mishaps in or outside of work. Only anything MAJOR will be taken into account if happening outside of the workplace.
However that is a whole different topic which will be explained and incorporated if the shop is successful in creation.
The above roles will help assist in my click & collect idea in the instance that they will be able to access the stock, create a note of what has been sold to customers so that when the Shopkeeper is next online, restocks and tax can be paid accordingly.
Financials [1/1]
Manager [3/3]
Supervisors [3/3]
Cashiers [9/9]
The above roles here will go as follows:
Financials: This role will essentially help me, as the Shopkeeper, manage funds, pay employees, keep track of incoming and outgoing funds for the business and collect earnings from the Cashiers of Nobelle. This role will only be available to one person and will be a trusted person of the business. This role will likely NOT be filled upon opening of the new store but rather once I have employed Cashiers and Supervisors. (Supervisors will have the opportunity to be promoted to a Managerial position based upon their affect on the business and sales of their 'group' of employees. Per ONE supervisor, there will be three cashiers allocated to them who they will supervise, this will then lead to once their original supervisor being promoted.. One of the cashiers will have the opportunity of being promoted to a Supervisor.
The financials role will mean that person will have to have ICly meetings with the shopkeeper or GM / SM. All info will then be relayed back to the shop keeper no matter what.
Managers: There will only be three allocated managers whose role to be to manager the three supervisors. One supervisor will report to one manager and each will take note of that supervisors' group sales. There will be incentives for those with the highest earnings by the end of each OOC month. Either being increased discount in store or a bonus pay for that specific group in that specific group. Incentives are a perk and not necessarily EXPECTED. These incentives will differ depending on the success of the stores Monthly earnings report.
Supervisors: As mentioned in previous role descriptions. This role will be open to three people and will be one of the nine cashiers that get accepted into the shop. With the new opening, the SK / GM / SM will manage all nine. The supervisor role will be opened after the first week of the cashiers role being filled (If not filled, it will open after 6 have successfully applied. Hopefully within a week of opening the new shop) The role will require the Supervisor to supervise three of the nine cashiers and they will be grouped as to help with the incentives program described above. This may be as simple as Group A, B and C. The cashiers will know who to report to, they will get shifts based on a first come, first served basis. Only one cashier from each group will be able to work at one time and will rotate through. If an employee is inactive for more than two shifts. Then they will have a review with their supervisor and if they MISS their next shift, they will be fired and applications will re-open. To make it fair, the reviewed employee will be notified OOCly of when the next shift will be available so they can be available or let us know if they will not be so it is not unfair.
Cashiers: As simple as it sounds. This role will be the face of the business in the instance that this is who the customer will see most of the time. They will have the opportunity for promotion and will NOT be grouped yet until the supervisor positions have been filled. After week one, each cashier will have a review with the SK and discuss their opinion on the business, any changes they could see fit, any addition to stock that may be booming at that current time. The cashiers with the most influence on customers, sales and ideas will obviously have an improved chance for promotion.
The Shop and its Unique spin:
So. What exactly is Nobelle? Nobelle is a shop originating from Ireland! Yes, Ireland! Tarik Kojima has an Irish background and is passionate about it. Nobelle will incorporate Irish designs and subtle details of the Irish history. Now, the actual shop itself will sell Gifts & Accessories. This will be anything from Toys, Jewelry, Watches, Glasses, Sunglasses and much more! I intend to create a physical catalogue that players will be able to have in game so they can benefit from our click & collect system rather than waiting for the business to open its doors just to see the stock we have on sale. This catalogue will be updated with any new stock that is put on Nobelles' shelves.
We've discussed the click & collect system, now lets to move to where Nobelle will benefit the people of Karakura! Nobelle will offer a loyalty program in the instance that when you spend a certain amount, you will get a voucher that gives a certain discount in shop! To eliminate any forgery of these, the discounts will be given via books. These books will be printed via ONLY the original, therefore giving the small text "Copy of Original" Cashiers will check for this small print and only accept those with it. The Original book will of course be kept with the Shop keeper to protect its value so a good thing hopefully will not be ruined. Each book will have an expiry date of course.
This loyalty program will hopefully boost the amount of customers the shop sees and give people something to look forward to when the shop opens!
Another idea I want the shop to have in place is a "Giving back" scheme. This will mean that any customers of the shop, no matter how much they spend. A small percentage of their purchase will be put into a charity ran by the shop along with the customer having an option to put in any amount they may like to. The charity will be called Givings From Nobelle; GFN. This charity will directly support Karakura in the instance of donating to the police department, town hall, hospital and any future builds. The shop will hopefully build close relations with the rest of the town factions to further see this idea being put into place. The above idea will entirely rest upon agreement from other factions and profits of the business.
Nobelle, given that this will be allowed, will also be available to invest into. Nobelle will have [10/10] slots for shareholders to invest into the company. These shareholders will hold the ability to suggest new products to be put on the shelf, suggest price adjustments, discounts in store, board meetings to discuss any further ideas and the biggest asset of them all.. Shareholders will be paid dividends from the company. Based upon earnings reports which our shareholders will be invited to attend, they will be paid accordingly in how well or bad the business does per month. Dividends will paid in a percentage depending on how many slots are filled, if all 10 slots are taken, depending on earnings.. The current shareholders will take a 1.5% take of the monthly profits. For example. Ten share holders invest 1 million yen into Nobelle to help fund building costs, stock costs etc. Since investing, each shareholder now has the above benefits and are entitled to receiving dividends each month. If Nobelle makes 500,000 in their first month, each share holder will be paid 7,500. Of course the dividend payments will change upon each months figures. These will paid after each board meeting with the shareholders which will typically take place on the 1st of every month depending on OOC timings etc.
Shareholders are NOT capped to an investing amount but should note they will ONLY receive dividend payments, not profits on their investment amount. Their investment amount entitles them to the described benefits above, of course with the more invested.. The bigger the benefits will be such as an increased dividend percentage payment, more discount and so on. Their investment amounts will go to the other parts of the business such as "Givings From Nobelle" purchasing of new stock (new customs bought from players)
My final idea and plan of action for the shop will be hosting quarterly events so the customers of Nobelle can have a say in what products are kept on our shelves, any reasonable pricing lowerings. These quarterly events will be held within the shop or outside the shop and a pop up stage will be placed in either area. All higher up roles (SK / GM / SM) will attend these events and be there to take onboard any ideas from the customers of Nobelle. Customers will have a chance to speak into a microphone to explain their views on the business or ideas for us to help engagement with us. One Manager will take this role of letting them speak, therefore offering Managers to have a chance to have a shift in the shop and interact with customers rather than mainly staff of Nobelle.
Payment strategies. Payment to Supervisors, Managers, Site Manager, General Manager and Shopkeeper will be entirely based upon performance of their respected area. Of course the Site manager and General manager will differ as their role include the entire business rather than an individual piece of it. Managers will be paid Monthly, depending on their supervisors reports of how much their cashier group has made during that month. Supervisors will be paid weekly at a 20% payment cut while cashiers will be paid at a base 10% payment cut. Apart of the staff incentive program will be this: The best performing cashier from each group per week will have an increased payment cut to 17.5% to have cashiers be more active for shifts and constant "want" to work for Nobelle.
Based on restocking costs, some payments may change while the shop is during its opening phase.
What will you sell in your shop?:
I plan to sell anything and everything under the genre of "Gifts & Accessories"! This will be things such as Toys, Jewellry, Watches, Glasses, Sunglasses, Plastic masks, Misc items such as decks of cards, umbrellas and anything more on the public restocking list!
Most products will have an orientation to what is currently doing well in the instance of what people of Karakura are currently buying at the time. For example if my shops sells more Sunglasses as a generic genre, then the future featured item will most likely be a set of sunglasses, of course differing to the current ones at sale. All featured items will not reach the shelves unless demand is that high for the product. They will be a limited edition asset piece essentially, therefore hopefully creating a sense of an item being "highly sought after".
There will be featured products to the shop and they will hopefully change every two weeks given the variety of products I will be able to sell at Nobelle.
How many employees do you plan to have?:
In total I plan to have, 19 employees. The staffing hierarchy is discussed above and showcases all the roles I plan to offer for Nobelle.
Employees will also not have a set uniform to make them feel comfortable in their job role. The only requirements will be an ID card/lanyard that the staff will be able to wear if that is an option to buy within SRP.
Shopkeeper Tarik
A little bit about him
Tarik Kojima. Aged 27.
Tarik stood at a height of 5'10 and had an unusual fashion sense... He carried a friendly demeanour about himself and had a pleasant resting face. His skin was rough and tattered as if he hadn't taken much care of his skin despite making sure everything else about him was spotless and well taken care of. Shoes? Not a hole in sight. Clothing? Not a rip to be seen. Tarik was quite self taught with a lot of things, especially on taking care of himself since moving out into the city at a younger age of 16. His eyes were a forever mystery, they never seemed to leave the floor as if he enjoyed keeping himself.. to himself.
He has always had an interest in financials and businesses and has been dying to create one of his own. Tarik ideally wants to others to benefit from his work rather than himself to benefit. Of course being well-off is in his mind. The people and image he creates will always come first.
Tarik lived in Waterford, Ireland before moving and grew up there during his childhood. From a young age he's had that edge over people with his sales skills and had always tried bartering with people for all sorts. Some rubbish found outside someones front porch? He'd try to convince you it was worth a kilogram of gold! In most cases it worked, some cases it did not. People rarely took him serious mainly down to his fashion sense, now who realistically runs around in a velvet red trench coat along with a red waist coat?! Nobody! Literally nobody except Tarik Kojima.
Do you have any questions?:
If accepted, is there a list of items that can be bought as a shop keeper for the set shop genre that is applied for? Is this info then allowed to be relayed to others (My financials role) to assist in IC money management so that the role can actually exist?
Thank you for taking the time to read through my writing.
Hoping to reach and change many, Napoleon.
