What are your motivations in applying for the black market dealer role?
To be honest, I've wanted to apply for a while but I've lacked the confidence and the knowledge, so my motivation comes from now understanding the responsibilities of being a BMD (and feeling brave). That, and having new roleplay opportunities that come alongside playing a bigger part of the market apart from the idea of openings and meetings. I really want to take a new stance on roleplay and push myself. I've also interacted a lot with BMD's over the course of the year (and few months) that I've been on the server both ICLY and OOCLY.
What helps you to stand out from other applicants & what can you uniquely provide to the team?
I've been indirectly involved in the market since early 2025, when I first joined the server. I'd ask lumaflies about it and, if it was allowed, I'd visit them on openings and get a feel of running around. It was those tasks that made me feel brave enough to apply to be an associate, which I ended up getting without an issue (thankfully). I am also involved greatly with CrimeRP which, I think, can help with knowing when/how to approach situations that may come my way as a dealer. Something else that makes me stand out is my roleplay centered focus within crime. Don't get me wrong, I love rolling and working fast to win a fight, but I also love the slow game of writing out lengthy interactions to better deepen a bond and fasten the fight to intertwine instead of ego about who rolled 150 and who rolled 1. I'll approach these situations with roleplay in mind, and if it gets to more than that (rolls) I will adjust accordingly.
What previous experience do you have in working with a team?
EMS:
For just over a year now, I've been within the EMS faction which is not only a roleplay heavy environment, but also one that demands consistent teamwork. My role is paramedic, so balancing psych work, doctor work and the response to calls is a major part - that and communication with KPD to get the correct orders and act of direction in line. It's teamwork heavy with call responses. I'd say I'm pretty good at working as a team both as someone who leads and someone who follows; I'll adapt to the situation and take the lead if I need to.
GangRP, Fight Club, BMDA & PROWLERS:
Being in a gang requires a colossus amount of teamwork and communication, especially when it comes to pursuing a target. Descriptions, locations and precise planning to corner and execute an attack takes patience and information bouncing from one person to the next. I've helped with bringing people down in a fight to defend somebody else, or exchanging information to find another. Another thing is fight club, which I am a higher up in. Whilst working, it's important people are in the loop about who is doing what and, if it comes to it, who's in trouble or needs a hand with a difficult customer. Also, payouts at the end is something that requires some level of teamwork and trust. My near final point is me being a BMDA and a prowler, which requires communication on the basis of helping a dealer find crates and defending it, as well as gathering intel. The use of ikigai is heavy there, with base communication points being left under the use of that IC social site.
A final point is me working in Yakedo Amai, a restaurant on SRP. I can't lie, I don't know what else to add that I already haven't said about the topics above. It's a teamwork heavy environment because it's a restaurant.
What suggestions do you have to help better the crime faction?
One day KPS:
This is a simple idea. It's the concept of KPS permissions lasting 24 hours instead of 7 days. I think this would be better roleplay wise because it forces players to enact on their perms as quickly as possible which can pose more risk and thrill-seeking when it comes to CrimeRP. With that in mind, it can force roleplay and instantaneous teamwork which can lead to enjoyable conclusions even if death isn't it.
One-use KPS poison:
A poison that can be purchased from a BMD but only used for the purpose of attempting to take a life. It doesn't work when ingested orally, and has to be inserted into the bloodstream which, in this case, would be via an injury of any type.
The poison in question would be Curare.
Curare isn't just one plant, it's a collection of organic compounds that have at least one nitrogen atom. It can be made by bacteria, fungi, plants and animals and then purified. When it has contaminated a wound or is inserted into the bloodstream, it causes paralysis after weakening the skeletal muscles. It can eventually cause asphyxiation due to the diaphragm paralyzing. This item can ONLY be used when paired with a sharp weapon.
With the use of this poison, it can also open up more fun scenarios for EMS. There IS a reversable medicine for the affects of curare, and the 8 minute timer for usual would still be present. Except it'd be less of a timer for bleedout, and more a timer for when medicine or intubation can be administered.
Are you familiar with all rules pertaining to weapon profiles, combat, permissions, and player conduct on the server?
Yes, I’m familiar with this.
Are you familiar with that if you leave the black market at any point, the black market lead will have permanent kill permissions on your character?
Yes, I am familiar and fine with this.
Are you familiar with that if your character(s) is/are killed or permanently arrested twice, you will be removed from the black market?
Yes, and I’m okay with this.
Are you familiar with that you cannot reveal any out-of-character plans or potential addition to the black market to others?
Yes, I understand that I can’t reveal OOC plans or additions to others.

Full Legal Name:
"It'sss.. Hibiko Sugiyama."
She wanted to say something else but, in reality, there wasn't much else. That was her name. Did they want an act, too?
Criminal Alias:
"I've gone by a few in my time, but Carmine will be the safest bet."
It was what someone else knew her by. Maybe if she kept it, she could be found easier.
Age & Occupation: (Note: if you become a black market dealer, you will be permitted the Adult role)
A long sigh pushed past the lips of Sugiyama, soon followed up with a, "Twenty-two and I'm unemployed. . . Legally unemployed." She began picking at her press-ons. "I make nails sometimes n' sell them. Does that count?"
Gender & Marital Status:
"I'm a woman, and I am not married." Said with a pang of confusion. She rubbed at the seams of her jeans, just on the outside of her thigh before continuing with a grimace, "NOT looking, either. Why is this even important?"
Ethnicity & Race:
OOC NOTE: Japanese & Irish
The woman shifted in her seat, eyes coming to a natural squint as she assessed the space ahead of her. Her voice was quiet, but not monotone.
“As far as I know, I'm Japanese. I was in the USA for the first 9 years of my life though, soooo. . Maybe I could be Japanese-American?”
A sheepish expression followed. Maybe she should invest in finding her birth certificate.
Known Languages:
"I can speak and write in Chinese and French. French I learned through my parents as I grew up and Chinese, I-" Her jaw snapped shut. This was the time to try and seem smart, right? NOOOOPE! "Honestly, I learned Chinese because I got bored. Not that I did it super quick though, it took me a fucking whiiiile."
Former Associations/Occupations:
"I used to work at Yakedo Amai? That count?" She reached up with her left hand, prosthetic, and pushed some hair out of the way of her face. "Wouldn't mind going back, though. I'll consider it if I need more money for flights."
Highest Level of Education:
"Uuuhm. . Highschool." She reached into a bag at her side, retrieving her high school diploma. It was dropped onto the table. Awkward. "I was in college for a little bit, but I dropped out. Education isn't for everyone and it sure as hell isn't for me." She was dumb as bricks, basically.
Physical/Mental Ailments: (If inapplicable, put N/A)

Describe your character's appearance to the greatest detail:
Hibiko is a pale, 4'8 girl with a whole lot of nothing on her. She's skinny and not all too strong and only gets away with fighting because she can duck her head faster than someone who's 7'0 and has the build of a stone block. Her hair is mostly straight and cascades down her back in a sea of white, with dyed black tips and nothing all too special about it. She has heterochromia, and her left eye is green and her right eye is blue, with a scar decorating the left in a straight line downwards. Her left arm from the elbow down is replaced (or soon to be) with a prosthetic, as is the index and middle finger of her right hand. Her neck houses a scar, as does the upper part of her torso. To top off the ultimate emo look, she has PIERCINGS! A lip piercing on the right side that connects a chain up to a hoop in her ear, and an eyebrow piercing on her left. She is consistently seen wearing a red-beaded rosary despite her claims of not being religious.
Describe your character's personality to the greatest detail:
Hibiko is a women laced in bitterness from previous issues, but a desire to get 'better.' She's extroverted but prefers to be alone, and is quick to adapt to situations as she sees fit, unless she truly thinks it's stupid then she will probably act a fuss. Her morals are all over the place because of consistent changes in her life and the unbelievable scenarios she gets caught in, leaving her believing one thing one time and then something else another. She's quick to anger and hates admitting when she's wrong even though she's, realistically, wrong quite often. She'd rather lift her head and spew bullshit than lower it and apologize over something that she doesn't understand to begin with. She's slow to trust, but once you're in her circle, she will protect you fiercely. Through name-calling and her acting cruel, she will still take care of people that she cares about. She had never been good at showcasing affection, and that hasn't changed. Another important note is her tendency to start arguments and not finish them. She's a bitch!
Surface-level Hibiko is bitchy and desperate for someone to take to bed, but it runs deeper than that. She yearns for genuine human connection and jumps from person to person in search of it. She's only recently stopped after finding someone who means a lot to her. But she's lost him sooo. . Who knows!?
Describe your character's backstory to the greatest detail: (200+ words minimum)
Hibiko Sugiyama was born in Japan, but spent the earlier years of her life in the USA. Her parents are both devout Christians and very intense believers. It was to a degree that it didn't really hover in religion, however, and just became it's own set of rules and toxicity masked under the guise of community. Hibiko never entirely believed in a God, but went to church because it was what she was told to do and she loved her parents. She made herself believe because the people around her did, and she didn't want to cause a fuss. Apart from the rocky stance on their religious beliefs, Hibiko's parents were loving; but it was obviously conditional. If she had a bad day, they'd make it worse and punish her for her outbursts, which only continued as she got older.
When Hibiko was 9 they moved back to Japan, and this is when she started to separate herself entirely from the religion due to no longer finding comfort in the belief, and finding her own footing in regards to what she found true and not. Her parents shamed her for this and put strict rules onto the girl. Curfews, restrictions on how she styles her clothes, makeup, she had to go to church, get baptized again. She followed these rules, but she was actively shamed by her parents and the new church for acting out. This was also around the time she got diagnosed with BPD. Due to her aggressive bursts and her parents lack of understanding, she was often shut away in her room or small places so she could be contained. She hit the walls and yelled insults at her parents because it was the only way she knew how to get it out of her system. By this point, she was definitely the problem child.
However, when she turned 16, she started caring less. She called her parents out on their terrible behavior in late-night arguments; one of which stood out the most to her. She had come home after her biggest act of 'treason,' which was a display of ink on her leg. From the outside of her leg, by her knee up to her body and beneath her armpit - a tattoo. It started off as a question, then lead to them accusing her of letting the devil hook his claws into her. She believed it stupid and, in a fit of rage, left the house to go and vandalize the church they frequented. It started off simple. Rocks to windows, letting the glass shatter and fall apart much like the relationship she had with her parents. It was crumbling, and she was seeing red. (If you hear someone howling, it's her). If you had asked her what happened, and you know her, she'd say that she set fire to it on purpose. If you asked her and you don't, she'd say she doesn't know. The real answer? She doesn't remember. One second, she was breaking windows, and the next she was coursing through trees with flames bursting behind her in a holy setting. The outcome of that was null, as there was no CCTV and nobody was in the church, nor injured. People had their suspicions, but no evidence, and a police investigation had left them with no definitive arsonist.
There were futile attempts to fix her behavior via sending her to nearby cop schools with home-cooked meals (so they'd tell her about how bad people go to jail and hell blah blah). It never worked, and she actually met a man a few years older than her who she bonded with on a level of them being siblings. It wasn't too far off. They looked similar enough and he was kind to her. His name is Oisin Sugiyama. As they got closer, he told her about his little sister who would have been Hibiko's age by now - a girl who was taken. It wasn't known to either of them that this connection was made by coincidence and she was that lost child. Even with one good influence in her life, she was unsteady on her feet.
Some time after, Hibiko was sent to live with her uncle just outside of Karakura when she turned 18. She never stayed with her uncle consistently though. She stayed with her 'brother' Oisin in between sleeping over at strangers' houses after a night out of partying. And party she did. Most nights were spent in Tokyo, getting wasted on alcohol that other people bought for her and kissing up on strangers because she had the will to do it. She was recovering from her parents behavior towards her and she wanted to reclaim the bodily autonomy that they had stolen from her by putting herself with various partners which, in the end, left her feeling empty. Sure, she was in control, but she lost a piece of herself each time. Arguments came often and though she couldn't take or give a punch to anybody at that time, she did love to run her mouth. If it got violent though? She'd run for the hills. All bark no bite.
Any pain she did receive from fights, she saw as a punishment from the god that she was forced to believe in, and as a result of her tearing away from that religion it had left her with obsessive thoughts and compulsive behavior. That mixed with her declining mental health was simple bad juju. Miss girl needed therapy but drank herself into oblivion instead. It was around this time she met a boy named Ichiro. Their relationship was clear from the start; a hook-up, and then a label. Then it was fighting every single day - and him cheating every single day. He convinced her it was normal, but would shame her if she cheated on him in retaliation. It was toxic, and he ended up leaving her after drilling into her that cheating was normal in relationships. Eventually, of course, she came to Karakura and on came that rollercoaster. Relationships came and went, with two most notable being Koujin and Asriel.
- Koujin was terrible for Hibiko just as much as she was terrible for him. She cheated on him consistently, he belittled her and he cheating ideas. They fought both verbally and physically until he, too left.
- Asriel and Hibiko started off because she pitied his attempts to win her over. and then it turned into something that could have been healthy. Except it wasn't. She cheated on him and, for the first time ever, she felt bad for it. She apologized and Asriel, surprisingly, took her back. She didn't do it again after that, but their relationship was stale. They argued most of the time and only seemed to communicate well when they were breaking the law together. That was until he left town for a prolonged period of time and, desperate to not be abandoned again, she broke up with him over text.
Somewhere along the way, Hibiko had gotten herself gravely involved with crime. It started off as her getting jumped by a gang previously known as 9stars, with one assailant being the worst of them. He has disappeared, and Hibiko was taken under protection by Parabellum. Protection soon became a union and she began training underneath the cyber gang. She worked her way up the ranks, wormed her way into fight club and into becoming a BMDA just so that she could feel something that didn't come from the acceptance of men. She also got adopted into Oisin's family! Which is... Really funny considering that is her real family.
The rest of her time in Karakura has been so scattered that it's lowkey hard to put into a story so I will be summarizing, please do not burn me alive.
She left Karakura/Crime and went to Italy with a girl she considered her sister, Miah. They returned after some time, only for Miah to get murdered. This sent Hibiko into a downward spiral, which was made worse when she tried to confront her killers and failed. Hibiko isn't a tall girl by any means, and her luck comes by in rare bursts. She can fight because she knows how to weave, not because she packs a hard hit. She lost someone else who meant a lot to her, a boy named Luka who died in her arms. Korin, who left a letter and a scarf.
More recently, she bonded with a man named Kosei. It started off as playful flirting and turned to something that neither of them put a title on. It was best kept that way because he wasn't emotionally intelligent enough to know, and she was too afraid to say it out loud. They grew close despite not knowing one another for that long and, after complications that Hibiko had gotten herself into, they both fled to Italy. They relaxed together, then trained together, then lost one another. She doesn't believe him dead, and she'll keep looking even if in Karakura. She only hopes that he is still looking, too.
Describe an interaction that your character may have as a black market dealer: (This can be anything — a weapon deal, an event they may be involved in, or maybe an interaction with a gang)
Moments had passed since her phone had been shoved into the pocket of her dress, eyes scanning the area of the dimly lit passageways in hopes of casting a stare onto the person who she was meant to be meeting here. Simple task, really. Someone ordered, she grabbed the item, got paid and then went about her day. It wasn't anything other than that when she was a BMDA so what was the difference here? The fact that SHE was selling it? Come onnn. . .
The axe was used as a walking stick as Hibiko traversed up n' down the concrete halls, heels setting forth an echo that would probably let everyone and their mom in a 10 mile radius know where she was. Eventually, one pair of steps became two, and the white haired woman spun around in a start. She wasn't stupid this time around, though, keeping her identity hidden with a mask as icy eyes met with those of a stranger of equal mystery.
"This yours?" Words spoken first from the stranger, their hand gesturing vaguely to the axe that Carmine wielded. She lifted it up with a grunt, balancing it in her prosthetic hand. She shrugged. A game could be played here, she thought. A test. Her heart thrashed around in her chest. Adrenaline, was it?
"Found it. Why?"
There was a pause, and the icy maiden caught wind of the strangers fist clenching at their side, only to relax moments later. She lolled her head to the side almost playfully. They uttered their next words out with an edge of irritation, "I'm meant to be meeting with someone to get. . . That."
Carmine almost laughed outright in their face, but held it in for the time being. She stepped forward, head tilting back so she could look up at them. Suuuurely someone in this town wasn't stupid enough to out their endeavors to a masked stranger in the sewers. Suuuurely that wasn't normalized here. SUUUURELY people had some semblance of common sense?!
NOPE!
"I know why you're here, come on." She wouldn't entertain it. She had a job to do and she was far too bored by this individual to risk a fight. The axe was raised to rest on her shoulder as her hand extended forward, palm facing the ceiling. "Pay up, then. You know the price."
"The price?"
"Yeah. For the axe, dumbass. Isn't that what you're here for?"
"You said you found it."
"And you said you're here to get this and I can't Imagine it'd be free, soooo. . Cash, or no axe."
Play it off like you don't know.
The strangers face was shielded by a slab of a black mask, but she could imagine that he was seething behind it all. Like those kids that get really angry and throw a middle finger in the direction of their bedroom door after a fight with their parents? He was definitely doing that but with his eyes.
This time, however, they hadn't spoken back. Instead, a humiliating attempt of violence was taken. Feet drove against stone in Hibiko's direction and she reeled back, fingers curling over the handle of the axe. She flipped it, pushing the blunt end into the strangers chest to shove them back with as much force as she could muster. She wasn't strong by any means, but the fact he was bolting at her would have done the damage for her. Thank you science! He stumbled away, eventually crashing onto his back with a THUD! Gloved hands clawed at his chest as his breath pooled out in waves of wheezes.
"You'd think. ." She moved forward moments later, placing the axe beside the winded stranger and kneeling at his side. "That criminals would get smarter, not stronger." A hand snaked down, slipping into his pocket and curling over what she had guessed was his wallet. "It's a shame that you're neither of those things. ." A sigh as she propped the wallet open. The cash was retrieved, with a little extra being taken as a gift to herself for his mediocre attempt at an ambush.
The woman pushed herself up, dropping the cemented piece of leather onto his stomach. Her boot followed, heel digging into his gut with a less than compassionate kick.
"Thanks for the tip. I hope you enjoy your wares and please, please do shop with us again."
With that, she stepped over the stranger and wandered off into into the murky air of the sewers, leaving him there. No longer her problem.

Moments had passed since her phone had been shoved into the pocket of her dress, eyes scanning the area of the dimly lit passageways in hopes of casting a stare onto the person who she was meant to be meeting here.
