Appearance: athletic build with a slight chub to them (noticeable but not to an extreme, like a subtle one), with a more toned upper body. Medium length bangs in a cute messy looking hairstyle, hair color is auburn brown
Personality:
stubborn yet resilient, as he is known to be a pain in the ass when he's told to do something he doesn't want to, often refusing to do it something or outright avoiding it, however this stubbornness can be converted into resilience if he manages to change his point of view on the task he's avoiding or refusing to do, as once his mindset changes he ends up getting it over with much faster than he would avoiding it.
he is shy but overly social, being he is a mix of an introvert and an extrovert, when in public places that have either a ton of people or are really loud, or even both, he tends to be really shy and easily overwhelmed and startled, making him hard to approach in public spaces, as he will most likely get scared, but when in quiet places with few people he is a lot more social, ...the only issue is getting him to stop talking for a minute.
Ambivalent yet determined once his sights are set, as he tends to be overwhelmed when faced with so many choices regarding things like a project, but once he figures out what to do, he is extremely determined with the intent of accomplishing the task, other examples of him being ambivalent is him being unable to choose what to do to pass his freetime, and what to make to eat (he's known to stand with the fridge door open and stare inside for some time until he's spoken to to break him out of his indecisive trance)
scared yet brave at times, as even if he's scared of something as long as he has loved ones supporting him, or if he's facing what it is he's scared of for his loved ones, he may still be afraid, but he doesn't let that fear control him.

Backstory: nate went through his life of education quite well, besides the fact he barely survived 5th grade, that is, until he hit the middle year of junior high, in which his grades began to drop, his ability to focus on school started diminishing, why? well, he didnt know how to properly manage his mental health when he started maturing, he ended up pushing away all his friends because he thought he wanted isolation, when he actually just wanted to feel heard and be noticed by people, he stopped participating in the groups he was in, thinking he didnt quite belong there, when he wanted to feel like he wasn't the only one who felt or dealt with the things he did, then, he struggled to make new friends, as at the time he was still socially awkward and had issues reading people, e.g. their body language, social cues, tones. and would sometimes come on too strong to the person scaring them away, he got through middle school, barely, along with the first year of high school, when he hit his second year, around the end of it, he had a manic breakdown, being put into a child's psych ward, however, his parents dropped him out of the prep school program he was in so he still had a shot to get into a good college and make a career and life for himself, over time he had med changes to help him as his body changed, he went through a few online home schooling programs to help him maybe get a GED, he never was able to finish them, eventually, when he was 17, his parents got him into a organization who helped people like him with their lives due to their differences, around his 18th birthday, he got a shot to try again with his education thanks to one of the organizations programs, he got an offer to finish his high school education as a transfer student somewhere in japan, and because this was an opportunity that he wouldnt get again, he accepted it, hoping to turn his life around.
