➪ Describe your activity on the server:
I joined SchoolRP in late 2023, which means I've been part of it for almost 3 years. I started playing when my DnD group stopped meeting and it has become a part of what I do online. I play it for the enjoyment of it, but I do have work and after summer vacation I started another study. I would describe myself as fairly active, having explored SRP trough a lot of perspectives. This way I've learnt a lot about the server and able to tell stories with my characters, which I love. I've experienced a lot, but I always aim to keep improving. I did take a break recently due to work and focusing on myself, but I have had a lot more time now to dedicate to the server and faction.

➪ What is your motivation for applying?:
I've always enjoyed factions in SRP, having more responsibility and working alongside other people just makes me happy. Throughout everything I've done, KPD has been in the back of my mind, but I've been too afraid to try. I was recently part of the council, but I reached a point where my mental health began affecting everything about me and I rather step away, instead of taking a spot that someone with more motivation can take, but since then I had time to focus on myself and realized KPD was still a faction I really wanted to work towards, to the point I'm ready to work hard for it, wanting KPD to become the faction I dedicate most of my time to and be committed. The teamwork, the responsibility, the variety and the people that come with it, attracts me towards it. Every KPD officer I interacted with has been an enjoyable moment and I want to create that for others too, the community seems fun to be around with. I've always gravitated towards roles that let's me interact with as many people as possible and that's what KPD does, KPD being the faction that naturally interacts with almost everyone on the server. Honestly, another big reason is because I enjoy creating stories with players. I like structure and learning systems and improving myself that way. I also think it offers a different pace compared to the other factions I've been in so far and it seems really enjoyable to me in the long run, I want to take it seriously.
➪ What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
Honestly, I don't know a lot about Police Work inside of KPD, but I've tried my best to familiarize myself with expectations and procedures, but I hope I can learn more with training! Officers are expected to remain professional and respectful both on and off duty, as they present the department and KPD has a quota system which measures the officer's contributions through different duties, think of patrol, arrests, responding to calls, visitation, raids and many other. This encourages players in KPD to do a lot of duties and stay active throughout the month.

Standard Police Equipment
| Equipment | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Baton | A melee weapon, with a two block range. It can be mugged if disarmed or KO'd. |
| Radio | A way to communicate with different officers, EMS and government. |
| Breathalyzer | An item used whenever probable cause exists to determine a person's blood alcohol concentration. |
| Handcuffs | A way to restrain, detain and arrest players. |
| Stun Blaster | A ranged weapon, with a seven block range that incapacitates a player. |
| Crowbar | An item used to breach locked doors. |
| Riot Shield | A shield that protects during dangerous situations. |
| Gas Mask | A mask that protects from pepper spray, gasses and to conceal identity. |
ItemRP Equipment
| Equipment | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Luminol Spray | Reveals hidden bloodstains or damage on weapons and objects. |
| First Aid Kit | Extends a injured players bleed out timer. |
| Body Camera | Continuously records interactions and uploads footage. |
| Latex Gloves | Prevent officers from leaving fingerprints while conducting searches or touching evidence. |
| Flashlight | Illuminates dark environments during dark situations. |
I understand the difference between arrests and detainments. For an arrest to occur there needs to be enough evidence and when arrested the suspect needs to be informed of every charge and ask if they plead guilty or not guilty. A guilty plea results in jail time and a possible bail and non guilty plea requires a fee before a case is forwarded to the government. For a detainment to occur there needs to be reasonable suspicion that requires further questioning. I also know some procedures that are performed by KPD. Raids need evidence and an approved warrant and during the raid officers search for illegal items and evidence that can support arrests. Patrolling also happens often, actively monitoring Karakura and high risk areas. There is also enough desk duties, think of reports, interviews, bail payments, visitations, documents of evidence and more.
Rank Structure
| Rank | Main Responsibilities |
|---|---|
| Commissioner | Leads entire department, applications, promotions, meetings and overall management. |
| Captain | Supervises Lieutenants and department operations. |
| Lieutenant | Oversees lower ranks, promotions and training. |
| Sergeant | Leads calls, line ups and cadet supervision. |
| Corporal | Conducts raids and trains cadets. |
| Patrol Officer | Independent patrols and emergency responses. |
| Cadet | Undergoes training and examinations before promotion, before becoming a full fledged officer. |
Detective Division
| Rank | Responsibilities |
|---|---|
| Detective Superintendent | Leads Detective Division and selects detectives. |
| Detective Chief Inspector | Conducts detective trainings and examinations. |
| Detective Inspector | Supervises investigations. |
| Detective Constable | Investigations, raids, evidence collection and detective training assistance. |
I am aware that the detective division operates separately, having different duties, but I don't know enough about it. I believe I have a solid understanding of expectations and responsibilities, but I might have gotten things wrong, but that's what trainings is for to continue learning and feedback for improvement.
➪ Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
I would like to call them the most important faction, but every faction is important due to them working in on each other, but that means it is still important. If KPD is not active many forms of roleplay would become repetitive, lose meaning or be gone entirely. It gives consequences to criminal actions, which makes gangRP fun with high risk and high reward. This helps remain fairness and helps enforce server laws, giving players a sense of security. KPD also helps creating storylines and interactions with other players, making roleplay feel alive and immersive. It also pretty much interacts with every other faction, students, teachers, businesses, gangs, government, EMS and other and due to this they act like a bridge between communities, allowing roleplay to spread. It also helps set a standard for serious roleplay on SchoolRP, and encourage realistic interactions regardless of the situation.
➪ Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are needed to attend or you will be punished?
Yes, I acknowledge that if training is held when I'm online, I will have to attend or be punished.
➪ What's your character's full name?:
The door of the office clicked shut behind Asahi. Eyes wandered around the room, taking a moment for himself. The gaze then landed on the interviewer he gave a slight nod towards them, acknowledging. After the room was checked, he stepped forward, grabbing the backrest of the chair, letting it drag across the floor as he pulled it out. Absentmindedly he rocked the chair, before he stepped around it to lower himself into it. One leg lifted to cross over his knee, while he adjusted the sleeve of his shirt. "Seki Asahi." He replied to the question about his name, his finger idly traced the table in circles.
[Asahi Seki]
➪ How old is your character (if accepted)?:
There wasn't an ounce of nervousness in the Asahi, if anything, Asahi looked mildly inconvenienced by the formalities. His finger stopped moving. "Twenty six, born third of January, the year two-thousand." Asahi tilted his head at the interviewer that started writing things down with a pen, both eyebrows raised, as he straightened himself on the chair.
[26]
➪ What are your character's gender and pronouns?:
Asahi's lips parted slightly, before shutting it closed. He took a moment to think , almost asking for them to repeat it. He let out a quiet exhale through his nose. "Male.." He tapped with his finger against the side of his leg in a pattern. "He, him, but I don't think I mind they or them." A brief silence followed, before he spoke up. "I never really had to think about that question before." Asahi then reached into the inside of his pocket, retrieving a cardholder. He opened it, taking out a card, he then slid the card across the desk, stopping it in front of the interviewer. Asahi turned the card around to face the interviewer, identification card. "That should have everything else you need."
[Male | He/They]

(Grade-12/Bachelors/Masters/PhD):
Asahi took a moment for that question to process, he was more trying to figure out if the answer needed explaining. A hand lifted towards his collar, pulling at it to straighten it and layer it correctly. "Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice." He watched the interviewer in quiet, before he decided to add onto it anyway. "I had the thought about continuing, but I figured I'd rather put it to use than spend another few years writing things people aren't going to read." Asahi leaned in slightly, as if about to tell a secret. "Besides, experience tends to teach lessons that lectures cannot." What a disappointing and boring answer from a man that looks like that.
[Bachelor | Criminal Justice]
➪ What languages does your character know besides Japanese?:
Asahi's gaze drifted down, brows furrowing slightly. He gave a slight shake of his head, before the gaze returned onto the interviewer. "None." Asahi's leg lifted back to the ground, no longer crossing. "Japanese is the only one I can say I know by heart." He added onto that, almost dryly. "I've been thinking about learning sign language, but I've never really needed it."
[Japanese]
➪ Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
Asahi Seki a young colourful man, his hair dyed in an icy blue with fading black tips and he wears blue contact lenses almost every day. Under the colour blue he has naturally black hair and warm brown eyes, being an average Japanese man. The reason why he dresses like that is rarely shared, the appearance became more familiar than the natural colours. The hairstyle is rather unkempt, it's styled twice a week into his iconic braid, but other than that, loose strands fall naturally across his forehead, only to be brush aside if they become inconvenient. It gives him a rather untidy appearance that contrasts harshly against his personality. He stands at 186 centimetres and he has a lean physique, it spoke more consistency of an active lifestyle. He is tanned, he was born that way, but the colour became stronger due to the fact he spends a considerable time outdoors. When allowed, Asahi wears a pair of long golden earrings, swaying slightly every time he turns his head, it's a signature accessory. His hands have several golden rings, each with simple designs, easy to take off and none carry sentimental value and with those rings he wears quite casual clothing outside of work. Beneath the casual clothing are several tattoos that remain hidden in uniform, across his back lies a stylized flower piece and on his ribs are short Japanese proverbs, inked in fine calligraphy.

➪ How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
[Professional Situations]
Asahi can be a very disciplined man, surely in a professional situation. He tries to be composed and is difficult to provoke. Asahi is very direct and struggles with the idea that there is a time and place for personal opinions. Professionalism is a keen trait he values over proving himself right, though disagreements are bound to come, when case comes by he voices his opinions with direct, harsh honesty rather than keeping silence. High expectations stand upon himself as well as on others around him, because he believes competence and respect is earned through effort, but that can make him appear demanding or even arrogant. The man is either very expressive or not at all, not allowing personal grudges to interfere with his judgement or at least tries to not allow it. Fairness and honesty should come before his personal feelings.
[Casual Situations]
In a casual situation, aka outside of work, Asahi's personality is way less restrained. The personality becomes sarcastic, even cynical and very unapologetically opinionated. You may even call him a "professional hater", as he really seems capable of finding mistakes in almost everything and everyone. Complaining just became a personality trait when he is off duty. It's almost painful how honest he can speak his mind, without thinking if it might offend someone else. Asahi does not believe in comforting lies. Preventing from admitting he is wrong is part of his pride and great stubbornness. The vindictive nature of this man, means he does not forget anything that is remotely insulting to him. There is no active search in revenge, but forgiveness is far more difficult to get from him. Despite these great flaws, he can be deeply loyal and expresses his care through actions rather than words.
➪ What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
Asashi stands as a blend of both an independent worker and a social worker. His words hint at him preferring to work in isolation from others, the solitary nature of working in such manner helping him ease into his thoughts and the dimming silence of his own cognitive allowing him to work more efficiently, avoiding potential distractions that come along when cooperating with others. Even so, an aspect of him still feels drawn towards connection with others, as attributed to the very nature of humans. He has crafted his own introverted persona that he rests upon, residing upon the peace that it brings.
Despite the story his actions paint, a deeper nature hides within the intricate nature of his. He chose this job not to owe up to his introverted nature and stray away from people, but to assist others, communicate and take part in a larger community. The very people he so desperately attempts to distance himself from are the very peers that draw him to work and further connect. When he does work with others, be it a citizen, a co-worker, a criminal or a patient, his efficiency and overall work output hardly even compares to when he is alone. Though he’d never choose to admit it, he truly does enjoy working together with others, sharing ideas and appreciating the different perspectives the people around him may have to offer. Instead, an unnecessary wall was put up.

➪ What's your character's backstory?
[Summer and winter]
Asahi was born 3rd of January, 2000. The Seki household was loud in these times, not in arguments, but with ordinary noise. His father a mechanic, always repaired things around the house with this quiet melody that stuck with Asahi. Before bed, his mother always read a book out loud towards him, even when he fell asleep, she finished the chapter. Loved by two parents, both of Japanese descend, living in residential district outside the Sendai, Miyagi prefecture. Seven years they sat at the table and ate dinner together, celebrated birthdays, went on vacation that Asahi could barely remember. He was always picked up from school right on time and love was bright. He spent most of his early childhood being a normal child, running, scraping his knees, not knowing other children's names, yet calling them his best friend. Energy filled the hallways and he was endlessly curious. His sister, Mio Seki arrived during autumn when Asahi was seven. Asahi saw her for the first time, she was impossibly small, but his mother told him she'd grow strong and he couldn't wait to play with her and his toy cars. He adored her when she slept in the crib, wrapping his fingers onto the crib's bars when he leaned over her. Asahi proudly introduced himself as the older brother. Mio just turned two and hospital visits were already routine by that time, they started short, then became longer each time they arrived, a rare congenital heart defect. Asahi saw the change in the instant and understood something was wrong, his mother stopped reading before his bedtime and his father didn't hum that melody anymore. Nobody forgot Asahi, if anything, forgetting him would've been easier on him. People praised him for being young and mature and thanked him for understanding, they felt less like compliments and more like expectations. The young boy had to learn to prepare breakfast for himself and after school he had to walk home alone. Asahi hated the hospital, every part of it, but he hated himself more whenever the resentment slipped towards the person lying in bed, no, he could never hate Mio, he didn't blame her for it, not once. Every time Asahi saw his sister, Mio would smile and wave despite all the hardships she has to endure, he sat next to her and told all about his school and she'd ask about it.
[Glass Child]
He entered high school and home always felt so cold, it wasn't anybody's fault, but every time he spoke to his parents it was about medication, appointments and whatnot Mio has to endure. One day, on a nice day, Asahi said screw it and walked past his house, he was going to go home, but he couldn't help himself and walk past it. He reached their local station and bought a ticket for the first train that would arrive. For two days he was somewhere else in Japan, alone, with almost nothing with him, except the school books of the day he left. The first night he couldn't sleep at all, throwing his phone in the trash after it kept lighting up with calls. He couldn't go back home and eat dinner alone at the cursed table, while his parents were with Mio. Asahi's parents called the police and he was put as missing, one of the patrol officers found him sitting on the stairs in front of some random building. The officer identified the boy with one glance and didn't ask any questions, he offered Asahi a coffee. It was the most terrible thing he ever tasted, he never drank coffee, before that day. The officer introduced himself as Kenta, there was no first name. For the first time in a while, someone listened to him without praising him. Asahi knew that his parents couldn't help it, would he have been any different if he was older with a sick child? Kenta replied that they weren't doing their best for Asahi. He followed Kenta home without hesitation, he was brought back home and his parents hugged him tightly, apologising profusely. The officer, Kenta and Asahi became life long, they met for coffee and talked a lot, basically an unofficial mentor.
[Saving himself]
When Asahi was old enough to start applying for college's, it wasn't a difficult decision, Criminal Justice was the first thing he searched for in his area. What Kenta was for him, is what he wanted to be for another 15 year old, sitting on those stairs. Asahi was strong willed and really put in the work, he graduated at 23. As his diploma was handed to him, Mio cheered him on from the tribunes. Asahi couldn't help but smile, she loved him as he loved her. His honesty became harsh, but that's what she liked about her older brother. After the diploma, nothing really changed. He was still living at home, eating alone and the hospital was still taking up a lot of his time and his parents. It fell in this quiet loop, Kenta tried to help him apply for places, but nothing really came from it. Maybe he wasn't as good as he thought, he waited for results. He wanted attention, he wanted people to see him more than just this independent boy in the background. He started standing out, personality wise, looks wise. He chose bold colours for himself and his eyes. Japanese people aren't a big fan of standing out, they like fitting in, he couldn't care less anymore, he wanted to be seen After 3 years of doing everything, except police work, he saw an opportunity pop up in Karakura, far away, way too far away. Would Mio be okay with this?

➪ Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
Asahi had shifted back into his chair as questions started coming in again, his hand tapping the top of his thigh as he looked towards the ceiling for a small moment, attention was being thrown everywhere. "No." A small shake followed, more to himself. "Owning one is illegal, but let's not get started if they actually use it to threaten someone." He clicked his tongue "That's where the bigger issues starts, a tool stays a tool until someone else decided otherwise."
➪ Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription
Asahi straightened himself, both arms raising to rest on top of the desk. "Unbranded bandage and eye patches." He'd breathe out for a moment, as one of his hands raised to start counting "Medication wise I believe paracetamol, iron supplements and melatonin." The fifth finger raised as his hand lowered back onto the desk, even a man like him gets nervous, which is the reason for continued movements.
➪ If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
Asahi straightened his posture as his fingers stopped moving around the ring. "I intervene immediately." His attention was fixed on the interviewer as the answer slipped out "I would assess whether I could stop the abuse without creating a greater danger, with a verbal order telling him to stop and if ignored I would call for additional officers trying to separate them safely." Lips flattened, as his eyes wandered again "Priority would be by ending unlawful use of force. Once the situation is controlled, the inmate should be checked for injuries and request for medical help if deemed necessary" His hands withdrew from the desk, folding over his lap as he fidgeted with the rings on his hand. "After all that I would make an incident report, preserve any available evidence and make sure everything is documented accurately."
➪ What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
Asahi's boots flattened against the ground, keeping it straight. "I would call for back-up." His fingers tightened once around each other, before releasing it. "While doing so, I will assess the situation, whether there are additional threats and my co-worker is capable of defending themselves." A pause, as he leaned forward, his back leaving the backrest. "If I could safely intervene, I would. Clear commands to stop and use the level of force necessary to end the assault." Asahi's hand briefly lifted to his face to drag over his mouth downwards. "Once the situation is controlled, I'd place them under restraints and ensure the scene stays safe. Checking my co-workers condition is also important and call for medical help if necessary."
➪ What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
Asahi held his gaze with the interviewer for a long moment, making certain there is no room for ambiguity. "I verify what I know. Documenting anything I have personally witnessed and preserve evidence available to me." Eyes briefly lowered towards the desk. "Though I would not conduct a private investigation for the sake of feeling clever. If there is credible basis for concern, I would report it directly to a superior that can handle misconduct." Rotating the ring a fraction on his hand. "There is no way I would confront the corrupt officer alone and I would also avoid discussing the matter with other co-workers, this is not a place for gossip. If the allegations are proven, I would cooperate fully."
➪ How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
Asahi's eyebrow lifted, trying to imagine the exact situation. "Refuse" - "Clearly enough that there could be no misunderstanding." He shook his head at himself. "I would not even joke about accepting it, allowing the person to not even believe it was ever possible to negotiate." His blue contact lenses caught the light as his eyes narrowed faintly. "I would also then notify my superior to tell about the bribery attempt, because bribery is a fineable offense." He added onto the first part. "I would probably even feel insulted that they believed I was for purchase at all."
