» Describe your activity on the server:
Personally I believe I'm fairly active. I'm online as much as possible with the packed schedule I have in real life. I did take a small mental break as to not get burned out. I do have internship and college out of character which does take a fair amount of my time in weekdays. I try my best to not let that affect me on how long or how I often I join and spend my time on the server with friends who also play on SRP. I've now been playing SRP for more than a year. When I did join I quickly fell in-love with the server. Not only the roleplay aspect, but also the community. The friends that I made along the way is the reason why I decide to hop online everyday.
Mondays, I'm available from 5 PM.
Tuesdays, I'm available from 5 PM.
Wednesdays, I'm available from 1 PM. One of my lighter days.
Thursdays, I'm available from 2 PM.
Fridays, Saturday and Sundays are my more flexible days where I can be online most of the day.
» What is your timezone?:
Central European Standard Time (CET / GMT+1)
Which isn't a perfect timezone, but on the weekdays and surely Friday it can be helpful. As I don't often see EMS online at the moments I'm online.
» List your current and past applications:
Most of my characters are grade-12 or grade-10. I want to try and do a sport tryout, but it's most of the time hosted at an inconvenient time.
[GRADE-12]
» What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
In 2015 I got Minecraft Java Edition and instantly joined a Minecraft server that was a Minecraft City roleplay. I was in the community for one year. As far as I remember I joined the police there and did tests to become a SWAT team. This Minecraft server is where it all started. In 2017 I created my first Roblox account where I continued my roleplay journey. I started there joining a school roleplay. I met a lot of people there, one I'm still a friend with till this day. I mostly played as a student working around. Eventually I moved from that to more fantasy-like roblox roleplays. Which was mostly Lord of the Rings based. The roblox roleplays continued till 2019.
I quit for a bit, but yearning for some more fantasy I got obsessed with D&D. I picked up D&D in 2020 when we had a lot of time due to covid. It started as a bunch of sessions in discord from all kinds of things, fantasy based or something more custom like steampunk and sci-fi. I used to play a dwarf named Severin which is my favourite character till this day as he leveled up and continued to build characters. All these D&D sessions lasted around 6+ hours.
When covid started to slowly go away to the point where we were allowed to go back to school with restrictions. I met my kind of people who also enjoyed and showed interest in D&D. We met up for some sessions in the weekend. The enjoyment this created I joined a few campaigns at my local shop that sold board games and also hosted evenings like these. The frequent D&D sessions lasted for a little less than 2 years.
In the past years 2015 till 2021 I also joined small roleplays on either discord or Minecraft which weren't significant as they didn't last long or lost my interest.
But around the time I got interested in D&D I also started to watch Star Trek. Which I still enjoy till this day having multiple posters, figures and bunch of cool stuff about the franchise. In 2022 I met a few players who showed the same interest into Star Trek and we decided to start a Minecraft Server based around it. Building our own sci-fi ships and landmarks from the series. Where after we built them we roleplayed in our built sets. Which didn't happen often, so it was barrable to combine with my studies. Till this day the server exists, but we mostly hop on here and there in the vacations. Having our own personal lives.
In 2023 when I just started college I decided to join another Minecraft roleplay; SRP. I wanted a more serious roleplay, while it still being easier to join/agree on than D&D sessions. It got me very much back into roleplay. Creating my first character Jerry Fitz to get used to the server, before moving onto a more serious character Mitchell. I am very thankful for being able to experience something like this. Able to find new online friends, cause most I met in the older times I kind of lost touch with. Till this day I actively join the server, just to be around friends and find new experiences.
» What is your motivation for applying?
I'm seeking for more roleplay opportunities and have been for a while. In the past I haven't taken things very serious, but I want to now and have been for a while. While being grade-12 is fun, it gets repetitive after a while. I tried GangRP, but it wasn't very for me. I tried to apply for receptionist before this, but being denied made me take a small break as that was my last resort to not do anything repetitive. Now after not being active I want to get back into it and I have been taking it way more seriously. Now I also know I want to do something in the social-medical field in real life. Which made psychiatrist way closer to home than receptionist. While I'm very interested in psychology in real life, I want to try and do something along those lines in roleplay even if not exactly the same. Plus I have seen how the faction acts, it feels kind and accepting and I want something like that. A new group of people/community where I can learn and seek different ways to interact with them and people around the community, including building a better reputation for myself.

» Character Backstory (Optional):
"I thought if I kept running, jumping and playing around the world wouldn't stand still for me."
Oskar was the youngest child of the family in German. He was filled with energy even though he felt like his life was overshadowed by his three older brothers achievements. His older brothers were significantly older than him. The brother youngest brother after him was 14 years older. Meaning his brothers were starting new lives with families and girlfriends he was just starting his. This made him feel more like an observer of the family, even with the love of his parents. Perhaps he was even a bit jealous as the brothers were allowed to do way more than he was, due to his age. But that didn't let Oskar stand still, he was very active in different sports, throwing himself into judo, football and badminton. Enjoying each sport with his entire heart, he saw sports as his entire life and maybe his future. Even though he was young and couldn't really see his future.
"Silence hit me without me able to ask."
Secondary school changed him, as it happens to many. He once lived on the fields and courts started walking away from the life of sports. The passion he had for sports, left him. Instead he spent his life with friends, filling afterhours with mischief and laughter. Anything to not be home with the one older brother who hasn't moved out yet. He didn't hate on his older brother, but his preference often felt suffocating. Then one day came the incident. During PE class a sharp blow to his throat during a game went wrong. He was gasping for air and the damage was severe enough to require surgery. That's his first meeting with the medical field. His voice that once was clear, strong and confident was now hoarse, filled with voice cracks and stutters. He became less confident in himself and through all that a speech the****** worked with him tirelessly. Progress was very slow and he had many hours to fill now. Not knowing what to do, he thought it would be funny to learn Japanese as a distraction from his voice. His stutter never fully disappeared, often returning in the worst of times when he was nervous, stressed or burnt out.
"Let's try a new story, written with more interests."
When he finished secondary school, the love he had for the Japanese language turned into an obsession of culture. Wanting something new, something different and away from his parents which many young people wish. He decided to apply to be an exchange student in Kyoto far far away from Germany and his family/home. His first wish was to become a teacher, but at the last moment he decided to apply for psychiatrist, making it more his interest, inspired by his speech the****** who had once helped him with recovering. Wanting to do that for others and learn more about the medical field, he listened to his gut and decided to go that direction instead. Not a lot happened in Kyoto if you don't count the nights filled with energy drinks to study and keep his grades up and parties with his friends till late nights.
"The story after finding a favourite colour"
Graduating, he entered the workforce, armed with enough knowledge to start. He became a psychiatrist at a busy clinic in Kyoto. Specializing in mostly with people with people with multiple disorders, young and old. Trying to make sure they get the right medication or the right program that will send them into the right direction. This is where he met her, his first girlfriend and his soon to be wife. She was also a psychiatrist at the clinic, specializing more with children. The same interests is what drew them closer and she actually laughed at his stupid jokes. She loved to write and he started to love it too. She guessed his favourite colour was orange, he didn't have a favourite colour back then, but now he fell in-love with it. Their relationship became something more and they decided wanting it to be their entire life by marrying each other. Life had other plans for the two of them. Not even a few years into the marriage his wife felt ill with a chronic disease. Work became more of a chore as his wife's conditioned worsened. After many years, she decided she wanted to stop treatment and the same year at 36 he was allowed to burry her 6 feet under.
"Goodbye Miyano.."
Not shortly after he decided to quit his job with the insurance money he got from losing his wife. The money felt like extra weight and he decided to donate the most to charity with research for the same illness his wife succumbed to. Hoping to give it away for a greater good and not more people have to suffer like him. After months of drifting and trying to write about a book made out of his feelings. He decided to stop this nonsense as he started yearning for his old job again. He decided to leave the city of Kyoto and leave the memories of his school, work and wife behind for a fresh start in the place named Karakura.

SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
─── ⋆⋅☼⋅⋆ ───
What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?
Oskar chose for consultation/liaison psychiatry as this is what he thought was best for him with the knowledge he had. Knowing first hand about personal, mental and physical struggles from his secondary school. The surgery when he had younger due to a PE incident showed him how these things can affect mental health, due to the build up of anxiety and depression through these times. Being in the hospital through that time he met a lot of people with the same issues and feeling useless in those times,. Due to that wanted to focus on something that not many people focus on, that everyone can be helped the way he was helped in his teenage years. Wanting to bridge the same gaps that has been bridged with him, bridging gaps between mental and physical health. Plus his younger years filled with competitive sports made him fell in-love with challenges. consultation/liaison psychiatry gives him the chance to work on both physical and mental aspects of patients which always gives him a complex challenge as everyone handle and react these situations differently. While he had support when he went through those things, some people don't get the same chance, wanting also to help families understand how they can understand the impact it has on a person when going through mental and physical issues.
Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
Yes, he does. He had internship/residency in psychiatry in the hospital of Kyoto. This is where he learned what he got himself into and got first-hand experience in general psychiatry. This is where he mostly worked with people who have been working in the field and already graduated. Conducting psychiatric evaluations, working alongside other medical professionals and learning how certain practices work that aren't written in a book. This is also where he got a certificate for trauma counselling. His internship funded the certificate, due to his hard working and help around the hospital.
When graduating he instantly got accepted into a clinic in Kyoto. This would be his first official role after the residency. His first few years there he mostly worked with adults with issues and parents with children who had these issues. Collaborating with parents to make effective support plans for children. After a while he started working with both adolescents and children. More focusing on the mental and physical aspect of the problems. Figuring out plans, programs and perhaps what medication is best for these people. The effective support plans was taken over by someone else, but he always helped out where needed. Showing much love to his many years he worked there.
SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
─── ⋆⋅☼⋅⋆ ───
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?
Oskar would have a be tall due to his German roots and his body built would be lean. Which implies he once was athletic, but now takes it less seriously. His hair would be extremely black, when the sun shines on it almost blue. He dyed it to cover the gray roots creeping in, because of age. He was quite tanned, often hanging out in the sun. His eyes were dark blue, almost gray. He often scanned the room with his eyes, making sure to take everything in, before speaking up. He had small eyebags from the all-nighters he pulled in college, they never really went away. He had sharp cheekbones, mostly framed by a smile that always appeared on his face to either make a dry joke or to smile through the day, showing compassion to other people. He had a small scar on his neck, barely visible, which was due to his surgery. Every time he spoke up his voice was hoarse, filled with voice cracks here and there. His voice was filled with trembling words.
He always enjoyed simple clothing. Most of the time he picked the first thing he could find in his closet, before his wife used to pick out his clothing. He enjoyes darker clothing with always a bit accent of orange, reminding him of the favourite colour his wife chose for him. He rolls up his sleeves often, just as a small habit and he almost always wore ties to look professional and respectful around people.

How does your character act around the hospital?
Oskar tries to be as professional as possible. He genuinely wants to carry himself confidently around the place, wanting to be on the floor as much as possible, loving his work. But with newer situations, he might act more nervous and ensures everything goes to his plan that he has in his head. He has straightforward communication, he does not enjoy sugarcoating his words, but also doesn't deliver the words in a mean way. Trying to somewhat still soften it for others, surely if it's about his patients. He wishes to be as honest as possible even if it can be harsh sometimes. He loves working, maybe a little too much, asking too many questions about certain things, making sure he gets everything right, even if it might be more annoying for others.
His number one rule is treat people with respect. Even so if someone treats him terribly, he will still stand up for himself. But he will always try and meet people in a respectful manner, often putting himself in other people's shoes to try and be empathic. Even so, he has a bunch of rules in his head, that he has to follow. He loves rules, mental rules or physical rules about a place. When there is a new situation which he doesn't have a rule about, he sometimes get nervous unsure how to adapt fast to situations. But he will always try and surely for the love of his work and patients.
Does your character function better on their own or with others?
Oskar is a blend of an independent worker and a social worker. Often he says he wants to work alone, but he still feels drawn to connection with other humans. He insists he works better on his own, claiming that being alone helps him think, be more efficient in his work and less distracted by others. He finds it important that he can focus deeply on complex cases and finding solutions for them on his own. He crafted this introverted persona, that he wants to be. He does indeed enjoy peace though.
However, despite the way he acts. He has a deeper nature. He chose this job not to be introverted, but to help others, communicate and be apart of a larger community. The people he tries to stay away from is what draws him to work and connect. When he does work with other people or patients, his work often becomes better. He enjoys working with others secretly, sharing ideas and learning different perspectives. Instead he chose to put a shield up which isn't needed at all.
