WHAT YOU WANT TO SUGGEST OR MENTION:

Allow shopkeepers to make paintings (maps) of their items and hang them next to the item's signs.

HOW WILL THIS BENEFIT THE SERVER/COMMUNITY?:

For many years now, we haven't been able to look at the items before buying. This suggestion will greatly improve the appearance of shops and provide an idea of what the items look like to customers. Most shops are adding signs with the item’s names and that isn't as helpful as painting the items on maps, even if it's not an exact replica of the item. Shops are not required to include this, it is entirely optional. While my previous suggestion—making the items placeable so they look like display furniture—was denied because it required a lot of work on the part of the modelling team, this suggestion would require much less effort. Shopkeepers should be allowed to commission whatever artists they like to paint maps based on their items. They can then display the maps next to the item's name.

Cool idea but it'll be time consuming and wouldn't do the item justice. Unlike vanilla MC, SRP items aren't really flat pixels. However, like Sayonara Gift Shop, other stores should def consider catalogs/magazines or at least something in their discords displaying what each item looks like.

You can already request to see items from shops before purchasing, most of them will show you. Assuming they did display every item in the shops (even if it was just an item frame display rather than a custom painting) it would add hundreds of entities in the shopping district which would cause massive amounts of lag.

-1 I would rather advise having google docs of shop inventory with ssed items pictures and prices. Cause the plugin of such would take wayyyy wayyy too much space taking all items that exist in shops... though with this it is tricky as not all will have the motivation to use given
google doc links... but it is what it is
