What's the title of your suggestion?: Player blocking command

What's your suggestion?:
On the server people get banned or warned practically daily for things like OOC toxicity, majority of the time this sprouts from an argument about something that happened ICLY or OOCLY. To prevent arguments like this getting to the point where they could turn into toxicity, there could be another command like the one for IC contacts but for players. It would work by either darkening the persons messages like the chat focus feature, or blocking the messages the player sends out completely.

If the blocked player's messages need to be seen, you would simply be able to click [View message] like you would when you get texts, this would prevent players from fully being cut off from each other while also allowing for someone to ignore the messages of someone who might be harassing or irritating them OOCLY.

The commands would be as simple as;
/playerblock <username>
/playerunblock <username>

EDIT: All messages could be just messages in LOOC and OOC, or it could be all messages whether it be LOOC, OOC, ICLY

How will this benefit the server and community?:
It would benefit the server and community by helping to prevent arguments and toxicity between players, help to block out people who might be harassing you on the server OOCLY while you wait for staff to sort the issue, and on that same point it'd be a step to take before getting staff involved. By using this feature before getting staff involved, it can syphon out the minor fixes and leave only the major issues so that staff can have a break from handling too many problems between players.

I do NOT know if this would actually work, but please. It'd be good if it can be implemented
+1!!!

Whilst I really like the idea, I just have no idea how this would... Work. Especially with regard to IC

If it were implemented, IC chats would have to be considered in some way whether its the only thing not blocked out or if its something like how chat focus has it a shaded gray

I AGREE, because there is SO many immature and disrespectful greenies that join and make it troubling for those apart of factions, or just people in general and give them hard times.

Most servers I’ve been on in the past have had some kind of block or mute feature, it’s definitely helpful to avoid ooc harassment

Neutral. I think Mojang already has some kind of blocking feature as when I click P it opens the list of players in the server and also shows options to click between different menus, such as all, hidden and blocked (look at the image below, my minecraft is in estonian so I translated the menu options and wrote them there). I am not sure how you block someone though and how it overall works.

I'm not sure it'd work given how a lot of messages are sent through commands, so likely those wouldn't be blocked. Also that system is flawed as it can actually harm other players by removing their ability to play multiplayer if it's still a thing anyway.

this could lead to issues regarding roleplay

With IC messages as said previously it could be done like chat focus to prevent issues, but then again if you're blocking someone on SRP the chances are you really would not want to RP with them whatsoever.

For an example, some people that I really dislike have perms on me, I can't block them cuz it could be seen as AvoidRP
