Previous bans: I do not remember all of them but I’m sure my longest was about 2 month on my alt, Animx. They were for stupid reasons like FailRP, the reason I had been banned was due to me thinking I was going to quit, I have definitely changed since then and now know these are simple rules that are easy to follow. What is your motivation for applying?: I’d like to extend my genre of roleplay and think that becoming a police officer would be a great way to do that. I personally believe I would be fit for the role as I have different types of roleplaying experience, both corrupted and not. I have watched other officers roleplay and in my opinion, understand what they are supposed to do. I overall think since I’ve been here when police first came to SRP I have had more than enough time to understand everything. I believe it would be good for me to be able to have a part of this roleplay where you must take anything and everything seriously. Also, I have looked over a lot of different roles and have decided that the best thing for me to try would be joining the police. I have been many things, but I think I have always wanted to apply for an officer, just never had the confidence to actually do it as I don't think my application would be accepted. After weeks of thinking about this, I believe I finally have what it takes to apply. I understood that becoming a police officer is a highly sought after job, yet after researching the laws of Japan and keeping in mind the behaviour of the current officers I strongly believe I would be able to change my current way of roleplay to fit the way the average officer acts. After noticing that people I see roleplaying every day and maybe am even friends with becoming officers or other ranks, I thought that perhaps I had a chance at becoming one too. Therefore, after really having a good look at the standards for an officer, I assumed I might be fit to become one, even if it would be hard. I believe I could maybe even slightly benefit the police department as I am active on the server, unlike some past applicants. I am fully aware there are more gang roleplayers than police, and police often do die due to gangrpers too. That fact led me to want to be part of lowering the number of characters doing illegal things - it was obvious that I’d have to join the police for that. Also, I had kept in mind that I won’t be able to single-handedly remove so many, but I’m sure that with the help of the other officers the number could go down by a few percent. I’m all about helping people, especially teamwork; this trait definitely boosted my ambition to become a police officer on SRP. When people fight or kill and people who drive under the influence of alcohol are just a few examples, there are a thousand more. One of the most satisfying aspects of working as a law enforcement officer is the unique opportunity you'll have to show these people a better way. They're usually a captive audience and, if treated kindly and respectfully, they might listen to what you have to say. How you treat the lowest criminal can play a huge role in whether she or he makes a better life in the future. You can change someone's life just by being there. These are only some reasons why I would want to be, there are too many to even list. I overall think since I’ve been here when police first came to SRP, I have been to understand everything considering I've been playing for so long, even after being banned. I believe it would be good for me to be able to have a part of roleplay where you must take most things seriously when you are an officer. For ages now, I have gangrped- but I want to try something other than hospital staff as I have been a paramedic, which allows no corruption, but I would like to see the other side of SRP- the good side, that is.
Do you understand Japanese Laws and Basic Conduct? I do believe I understand them but am willing to learn more. I am currently learning more about them after posting this application.
What are the Police ranks? The ranks are Cadet, Patrol Officer, Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain and Commissioner (in order_. From what I know, the Patrol Officer watches over and patrols a certain area, whether it is to arrest someone, sort out a situation or even get rid of crowds. The cadet would be someone who has just joined, ‘on trial’ you could say. I believe the Lieutenant is the one who gives orders. Commissioner is the top rank and is supposed to be listened to by every other rank. The captain is in charge if the commissioner is not there, etc.
What knowledge do you have of Police Work? I know they take all situations seriously unless obviously pranks. I know they do not hesitate to stop you from committing crimes and they seem to work very hard. They don’t ‘let you off’ if you’ve committed a crime, unless of course warnings for things such as J-Walking. They stick to the strict set of rules and laws given and don’t let things slide. They stick to their roles and are unable to break any laws. They cover all situations from suicide to riots and are known to offer support to people that may have been victim to crime. They do not arrest unfairly and always want solid proof before actually arresting the person in question. If necessary, police will not hesitate to shoot people fleeing from the crime place, no matter the circumstances - they won’t let the perpetrator get away. They always ask citizens to file reports if the situation cannot be handled then and there or if it perhaps in a station and the person committing the crime is unpresent. They are cautious and try not to get other people involved in crimes, seeing as they often tell them to move away from the scene when a crowd begins to form. I know they take all situations seriously and I know they do not hesitate to stop you from committing crimes and they work very hard to stop GangRP as much as they can. They're fair and they actually follow the rules and laws, no matter how little. I also know most of the laws, and I have stated some of the basic ones, but there are so many, over 20, even more. I've seen police do their thing, and it has inspired me a lot. I've seen gangrp situations on SRP and more. I don't really have that much knowledge of police work, but I do know that they use codes, because I also have used it previously (the EMS one).
Why is Police important to SchoolRP: One reason why police officers are important to SRP is that if there were none, the whole server would be gangrp nonstop. Even though 70% of the server do gangrp things, police stop 60% of those things and situations. If they weren't here, people would be killed 24/7, and people would steal a lot too, even if one police officer was online, it could change. I also want to say that they take their time out and stop the 90% of crimes on SRP to about 80%- which helps it a lot considering people die a lot on SRP because of kill perms. I don't really have that much knowledge of police work, but I do know that they use codes, because I also use it (the EMS one). Despite gangrp recently dropping down as important gangs are slowly dying, people still gangrp and won’t give up, even if they are small fights. It is an officer’s job to simply stop these, and attempt to make it not happen again.
Do you acknowledge that you're subject to being demoted if accepted at any given time? Yes, I am aware and fully respect that-I will do my best to make sure it will not happen.
Do you acknowledge that applying for this role, you are agreeing to be 100% dedicated to the Police Officer role? I can assure you I will be online whenever I can, as I want to have fun with this role and experience it, not just have the role and not be online.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are authorized to attend or you will be punished [Demoted]? Yes, I am aware and fully respect that.
Do you acknowledge that you’re subject to IC harassment, and you are NOT to take things OOCly when dealing with training & situations? I acknowledge as it is quite a basic thing, even if people do it quite a lot.

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Tell us about your character, how he looks, what makes him unique? What he's like on the and off the job? Outlook on his co-workers? Plans for the future?
You'd see a man standing 6'5, with lifeless ocean eyes along with a small scar following down under his left eye. He'd have a clean white shirt on, with a navy outfit ontop. He would have dark skin, along with black silky hair accompanied by a strong Spanish accent. He’d have quite a muscular body, as well as a formal way of speaking.
Kei isn't good nor bad, he strives his best to save people whenever he can, trying even if he knows its absolutely impossible to do it. He tries the impossible a lot, even if he fails he tries and tries again until he gets it right. By doing this, he is much more successful and his mental state is incredibly strong. He is also unique because, at times, he is driven to complete a task, no matter how difficult. Even if it was a life or death situation, he would give it his all. He is unique because he has many experiences in a lot of situations, knowing what to do and not do. Even if he can't, he would still attempt to fix the current situation.
What he's like on the and off the job? Outlook on his co-workers? After a tiring, long shift, I would be my normal self, happy yet fun at the same time, and if something was happening on the street he would stop it even if his shift ended. I would hang out with friends and leave work with a smile, and a goodbye. If I had some unfinished work, I would go home and finish it. After a long day, I would prepare for tomorrow and sleep. Once a workday comes, he'd train in the morning and wake up early, making a nice healthy breakfast in order to feel good to work in the early morning. He would then walk to work, still prepared if anything would happen. After this, he'd get up and notify that he is here, ready to patrol or file any reports. On breaks, he would be quite polite to his co-workers. Whilst on his patrol, he would normally be with someone, still protecting them and watching out for them if anything happened, just incase. He would be quite kind to his co-workers too, expecting them to be aswell. if they needed help or anything, or Kei needed help on anything he would simply ask them, not just be shy and end up not doing it.
Plans for the future? I would like to be a great police officer who can help society and change people's future. If this happened, it would be good, if it doesn't, it is fine. Even though I don't have a BIG plan for the future, this is one of the things I would like to do. I also want people to feel at ease, to make them not worry about things, like if someone was coming after them, or they stole something from them. A final last thing is to decrease the crime rate in Karakura, making it much better and safer for future people to go there, and actually wanting to tour the place, not just being afraid whilst there.
BACKSTORY
Kei Hashimoto was born in Spain, on the 3rd of January, 1991. He was welcomed into quite a supportive family, his parents being Arisu & Are, 29 and 32 years old. He was the oldest of 3 siblings, though they never fought nor squabbled. Kei was quick to pick up Spain, being quite an eager learner. His parents had showered his with unconditional love, though they did not spoil him. Growing up, Kei did average in school, not outstanding - not under level. He was a social boy with many friends, often going out with them. This gave him an early start to have good social skills. He was what now would be called a ‘snitch’ as soon as he saw somebody doing something wrong, he would go and attempt to sort it out or report it if it was major. There was rarely any trouble caused by Kei during his childhood, it was all due to him being raised in a strict home. The Hashimoto household often had Kei’s friends over. It was usually just Kei, his older brother and a friend or two. The 2nd sibling, his brother, was quite into sport and spent hours training at sports clubs. They were quite close to each other, so he helped Kei with anything sporty, making him much better than sports than he was before. His parents, like most, worked during the day. Arisu Hashimoto was a paramedic, however, it was unknown to Kei what his dad’s occupation was. The crime rate was quite high at the time, but they lived in a quiet private and peaceful area, so it never really affected Kei and his family.
He passed primary school with ease and moved on to a more prestigious secondary school. Unfortunately, none of Kei’s old friends had gone there too, with him. Being the social boy he was, it didn’t take him long to make new ones. A small thing about this school was the fact that Japanese was an optional curriculum, Kei decided to choose it as he had always been interested in foreign culture. Although, not everything was going so smoothly for him like most of the time. He noticed some dodgy behaviour coming from his dad, valuable things in the house going suddenly missing. Everything just seemed to be a bit strange when his dad was around. He had obnoxious cover-up stories and acted like nothing was wrong when his siblings were around. Kei often caught his mother crying, and when asked what was wrong his mother would simply blame it on allergies. He knew this wasn’t true but decided it would be best not to question about it. A week after he had started his second year of secondary school, 4 gunshots were heard a few streets down by his school. The schools nearby immediately went into lockdown due to this. Once it was confirmed to be safe, all the students were told to be picked up by their parents due to it being past school time. Kei’s mother had come to collect him, she looked absolutely devastated. Her eyes were watery, and it looked as if she didn't have a lot of emotion on her face. She was questioned on the way home by Kei but did not find out what had happened until later that night. He was told his father was in debt, in debt to quite dodgy people. He had a deadline to pay back money but was unable to as he was struggling financially. He begged for a few more days but as it was now obvious, they weren’t having it. He was shot in the head and left dead minutes after, as well as shooting his closest friends who stuck by him along the way. There was a strong emotion filling Kei the moment he heard the news, it was rage. He felt immense sorrow for himself, and absolute rage and wanted revenge, even if it was bad, finally knowing what people really feel when losing someone so close to them. That day, Kei swore he would try to prevent this from happening to other unsuspecting citizens. He had an even stronger ambition now, to fight crime with his life on the line. He tried even harder in school, beginning to slowly rank up higher in his class, by the last year he was top of his class, managing to get into a highly ranked college. Once graduating, he decided to take police training. He tried to slow down his life a little bit and give himself a small break. He took more time to go out again and make sure he had all the qualifications to become his dream career. He met new friends who helped him go back to his normal self, cheerful and social. Kei decided to pursue his dream career in Karakura, Japan - a city with a higher crime rate than his bit of Spain had. He found it hard to say goodbye to his life in Spain, being there for so long and all, but was sure that Japan would be the best place to go seeing as he had studied the language in his past school years. To sum it up, Kei Hashimoto is now a proud man standing 6'5 who is trying their best to fight crime the best he possibly can.
