What is your Minecraft username?:
The username for my main account is Pop1ezius, but the one I am applying for is popqz.

Do you have Discord (If so, what is your Discord username?): Popiezius

How old are you? (Optional): 17

What is your time zone?: My timezone is GMT+2.

Describe your activity on the server: At the moment, I'm consistently active on the server, logging on for multiple hours every single day. I had a short break in which I quit SRP, but before I quit, I was actively engaged in team RP, as I was the co-captain of the volleyball team. Some time before that, I was also a Teacher and a Receptionist. That experience gave me a good understanding of faction responsibility, which led me to apply for this job. Overall, my alternate account seems to be left out, and I don't really use it, mainly for the purpose that I can do the same things on my main account, but having a job will make it more interesting and different. While also becoming an adult, there will be more opportunities to engage in different kinds of roleplay.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive, you will be demoted?: Yes, I fully acknowledge that if my activity drops, I will be demoted. However, I don't see that being an issue as I plan to remain consistently active.

School Employee Role you are applying for?: I am applying to become a Librarian.

In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for: A librarian's job is to keep the library organised and easy to use so students and teachers can find what they need. That means keeping track of the books, putting them back where they belong, and handing out library cards to those who need them. They also help people track down specific titles, point them towards books that they might like, and overall make the library a space that would encourage students to read more. But it's also not just about managing shelves the librarian is there to support students with research, suggest new genres or stories to get into, and keep the library a quiet but reliable place to just study or take a break with a good book. Librarians also take care of the school trouble-makers if there aren't any other employees to do so.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?: My roleplay experience, both on the server and in general, is pretty extensive. I've been playing actively since 2021, and over those years, I've picked up a lot when it comes to creating realistic and engaging RP. I'm completely comfortable with detailRP and plan to use it often as a librarian, not just for immersion but also so students have a proper experience when interacting with the Library. Along the way, I've also learned how to handle stressful or chaotic situations calmly, which I think fits well with a school employee's role.

Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?: I want to join because being part of the school staff opens up a different kind of roleplay that I haven't fully explored yet. I've done sports and team RP before, and I've also worked as a receptionist on this account, so I already know how school roles function and how to stay consistent. The librarian role feels like a natural next step, because it gives me the chance to be involved with both students and staff in ways other roles can't.
The job itself isn't just about sitting at a desk. It's helping students find books, handing out library cards, and being someone people notice when they come in. My goal would be to make the library an active part of the school environment, even if it's not really possible, but I still want to make it a place where students and staff actually interact with, instead of it just being background scenery.

During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:
Daichi wouldn’t react emotionally to the insults. He would stay calm and address the student in a firm but controlled manner, making it clear that their behaviour isn’t acceptable in the library. If the student continued, he would warn them that further disruption would lead to consequences and follow school protocol if needed, such as contacting another staff member or reporting the situation. His main focus would be on keeping the situation from escalating and maintaining a respectful environment in the library.

You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?: Daichi would not immediately place himself between the students. Instead, he would keep a safe distance while using a firm voice to command them to stop. At the same time, he would quickly call for nearby staff or assistance. His priority would be to de-escalate the situation without putting himself in unnecessary danger and ensure that the proper staff handle the situation once it is under control.

Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?: Daichi would first make sure no students are in immediate danger. He would address the employee directly and tell them to stop what they are doing, explaining that it is unsafe. If the behaviour continued or was serious, he would report it to higher staff immediately. His focus would be on safety and handling the situation professionally rather than arguing or escalating it.

When in the employee break room, how does your character act? He would keep his demeanour calm and collected in the break room, using the time he had to relax without drawing unnecessary attention. He'd chat casually with coworkers when appropriate, keeping conversations light and professional, but mostly he'd use the space to recharge, maybe sipping a drink or scrolling quietly on his phone. Even during his break, he tries to maintain a respectful presence, aware of his role and the example he sets for students and staff.

Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:

(THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS ARE WITHOUT ANY COLOR CODES OR APPENDS, SO IT'S EASIER TO UNDERSTAND)
/me turns toward the monitor and types the student’s name into the system, eyes following the screen as the record loads in. He reads the overdue notice for a second before pressing a few keys to clear it from the account. Reaching to the side, he pulls the returned book closer and checks the code on its spine, comparing it briefly to what’s on the screen. After confirming it, he sets the book onto the return cart and taps a final key to save the update. “You’re good now,” he says calmly, already clicking back to the main menu.
/me hooks a foot around the return cart and drags it a little closer before picking up the top book. His thumb runs over the label as he reads it, eyes lifting toward the shelves to figure out the section. He walks it back at an unhurried pace, sliding it into place between two books before adjusting them with his fingertips so the row sits evenly. He takes a second to straighten a book that’s sticking out slightly, then reaches for the next one on the cart, keeping the same steady rhythm as he works through the stack.
/me turns the monitor slightly toward himself and opens the student database, fingers moving across the keyboard as he begins entering the details given to him. He pauses halfway through to confirm the spelling, eyes flicking between the screen and the student before finishing the entry. After pressing a key to finalise it, he reaches beneath the desk and pulls out a blank library card. He slides it across the desk with two fingers. “All set,” he says, closing the tab and returning the system to the main screen, ready for the next person.

Full Name (First & Last only):
"My name is Daichi Asugawa. It's nice to meet you."
Title (Mr, Mrs, Miss): "Mr Asugawa is fine for students, though staff can just call me Daichi."
Preferred Name: "Daichi works just fine."

Age (Minimum is 25): "I am 27."
Gender: "I am a man."

Academic Degree: "I earned my bachelor's degree in education, focusing on student development and learning strategies. During that time, I spent a lot of time learning how students think, how they process information, and how different people learn in different ways. I realised that I enjoyed helping people understand things one-on-one much more than standing in front of a classroom and teaching a full lesson. I liked being able to take my time, listen, and adjust how I explained things depending on the person. That’s when I started feeling like a role such as a librarian would suit me better, because it still involves learning and helping others, but in a quieter and more personal way."

Major(s): "My main focus was education, especially understanding how students think and learn at different speeds. I learned how important patience is, and how communication changes depending on who you are speaking to. Some students need direct answers, others need guidance to figure things out themselves. Those are skills I use daily in the library when someone asks for help finding books or information."

Minors: "I also studied library science at an associate level through self-learning. I spent time reading about how libraries are managed, how books are categorised, and how systems are used to keep everything organised. I’ve always preferred learning by doing things myself rather than sitting in long lectures, so this way of learning felt natural to me and helped me understand how to properly support students in a library environment."
Nationality: "I'm Japanese, born and raised in Osaka. I grew up in a fairly normal household and had a simple, quiet life there. Most of my time was spent either studying, reading, or helping around at home. Moving to a place like Karakura was a big change for me. I had to get used to a new environment, new people, and a different pace of life. That experience forced me to become more independent and adapt quickly, which is something I still carry with me in how I work and handle situations today."
Known Languages: "Japanese is my first language, and the one I’m most comfortable using. I also learned Japanese Sign Language because I wanted to be able to communicate better with people who rely on it. On top of that, I spent time learning French while I was abroad, which helped me understand how to communicate with people from different backgrounds."

Backstory
"I’ve always liked quiet places. Growing up in Osaka, I spent a lot of time in libraries or just sitting somewhere with a book or a notebook. I didn’t mind being on my own, and I liked keeping things organised. If a friend didn’t understand something in class, I was usually the one trying to explain it to them in a way that made more sense. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but looking back, that’s probably where my interest in education started.

When I got older and started studying education, I realised I enjoyed helping people understand things more than anything else. What I didn’t enjoy as much was the idea of standing in front of a classroom every day, trying to control the room and follow strict lesson plans. I preferred situations where I could take my time with someone and actually help them properly. That’s when the idea of working somewhere like a library started to feel right to me. It’s still a place for learning, just quieter and more personal.

During my time at Karakura High School, I wasn’t only the quiet type, though. I was part of the basketball team, and that made me pretty well known around school. When I was eighteen, we won the summer tournament, and that experience stuck with me. It taught me how important teamwork is and how to stay calm when things get intense. Later on in college, I joined the volleyball team, which gave me similar lessons in a different environment and helped me adjust to new situations more easily.

Outside of sports, I often found myself helping out with school events or getting involved when friends had small arguments or problems. I got used to listening to people, understanding how they felt, and trying to help without making things worse. Over time, I became more observant and better at handling situations calmly.

When I look back at everything, I've realised that enjoying quiet spaces, studying education, playing sports, and helping people with problems — it all points toward the kind of work I want to do now. A place where I can help others, keep things organised, and create an environment where people feel comfortable. That’s why working in a library feels like the right path for me."

Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective): "Honestly... I needed somewhere that felt like more than just a place to work. Somewhere I could grow, be useful, and actually feel like what I do matters. From what I've seen here, the students can be a handful, sure, but the staff? They care. They put real effort into helping others, and that's something I respect a lot. Being part of that kind of environment... it just feels right. I want to contribute to make the school feel welcoming, organised, and like a place people can actually enjoy being at."

Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
"I’m someone who sticks with what I start. If I commit to something, I don’t drop it when it gets annoying or difficult. I try to stay patient, fair, and calm when dealing with people, and I put real effort into doing things properly instead of rushing through them. I don’t just want this as a job, I want to do it well and be someone the school can rely on."
